Welcome / Birthday / Seeya! Forum / Hi everyone!

It's been a while and I wanted to pop in and say hello! I don't really recall how long it's been since I last posted here. Ok, it's been about 9 months. I haven't really been keeping up with a whole lot going on here, but sometimes check the updates mostly for fanart.
I just got reminded of here because I still always listen to CT music and there may be a small chance of a friend of mine playing To Far Away Times- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4LsJjlar68c&feature=related on the piano which I have always wanted to listen to! Someday I still hope to play a CT song fully on the piano.
So since the last 9 months I've been gone, I have... been to Michigan and back for an awesome internship, finished grad school (My immediate goal is to be an archivist full time), and I am now in Israel!
I love it in Israel and I've been here for over a week. I'm going home on Thursday. It's a wonderful country with a lot of amazing things to see and do and I really wish that my ankles/feet didn't get really messed up so I could spend my last couple days here doing more active things, but alas a third trip to Jerusalem can't happen...
I've also taken up doing a lot more physical activity and I have a personal trainer who I will continue to meet up with 3 times a week for the rest of July so I hope he will continue to move me the right direction in terms of exercise and getting healthier.
What has everyone else been up to in the last year? : ).Hope all of you are doing well!

Chrono Compendium Discussion / Can't logout.

Have had this problem since yesterday. Logout button does nothing. Is anyone else having this problem? I bet most people just like to stay logged in always, but I'm very weird about these kinds of things XD;

I'm gunna be gone for a few weeks. Some of you may think that it's because I can't get along with people, but it's that and also because I spend too much time here and it's not good for me. It's always detrimental to my mental health to spend too much time on message boards. Let's just leave it at that. I've been hanging around forums since I was 13 or 14 and it's always detrimental to my health for me to spend too much time on them. Until I get banned from here, this is most likely going to be the last forum I am at. I just think I'm too old for message boards and I need to be doing other things with my life.
You will still see me around in irc and the card thing.
I just want to tell all of you that you are all so awesome! I really like everyone here and that is incredibly rare for me : ). I'm a very judgmental person(something I really do try to improve) and I don't like a lot of people. And that's about it. *hopefully* see you later.

Yaaay b day tiiime! Most ppl here don't know how old I am today. I'll give you a hint- I'm older than Genesis, Zeality, and Ramsus but younger than Thought, Lord J and V!
I'm having a small party in a couple hours that my mom's cooking for but mom and dad uninvited themselves D:. I did this for my 17th birthday, but then I had a few more guests. Oh well. Dad hates people coming to his house, so my friends can only stay for a little while, and then we're migrating somewhere. Perhaps Japantown, perhaps something else.
Where's my cake? :p

Hey um, I have this cute new UI(user icon), but I can't figure out how to make it bigger. It always defaults to 100 X 100 for me. What are the UI limits and how can I make the UI bigger? Thanks.

I just got back from seeing District 9. I swear, one of the best alien movies EVER made, and apparently it was made with a low budget too(didn't seem like it). Has anyone else seen it?

Polling / Frog's speech

I tried to look to see if this poll was done in the past, and I didn't come across it.
Personally, I liked how Woolsey handled Frog's speech. It made sense to me considering Frog was from the middle ages, however I think that Woolsey should have taken it a step further and made EVERYONE from the middle ages speak like that! Woolsey seems to really love having characters in the games he translates speak Olde English. He made Cyan do it in FF6.
What does everyone else think? DISCUSS.

Since the site is going down for maintenance, I thought I'd post this a little early. I'm leaving Saturday and won't be back in the US till.... 17th I think? Ok, I don't really remember right now when I'm coming back, but I'm sure I'll stop by here from time to time while I'm there. I probably won't be in the IRC much during that time period, though.
I'm going to be in the Melbourne area. My bestest online friend lives in Australia and I have never met him. We've known each other since 2002, so it's quite exciting. I'm sure we'll get along fabulously : ). I'm scared of kangaroos, but not the other animals, so I think I'll be ok. I want to eat kangaroo and ostrich and LOTS and LOTS of timtams. Unfortuantely, I don't think I'll be able to go to Ayers rock, but I'm sure there is plenty of stuff to do around the Melbourne area.
If anyone wants a postcard, I love sending them out, so please let me know in this thread or PM and i promise to mail you one : D.

Polling / Rate the Chrono Trigger Characters- 2009 edition

Just thought it'd be fun to try this out again and see if the result would be any different from the 1st edition in 2004 (found here- http://www.chronocompendium.com/Stories/5 ). if the result is any different, ideally it would be interesting to have us write up descriptions about why the results ended up this way for each character. It's kind of hard because ideally I'd like to just rank each character based on my liking them not just my favorite... I think that could produce better results.
My ranking would be:
1. Frog
2. Ayla
3. Marle
4. Lucca
5. Crono
6. Magus
7. Robo
Please post your ranking too if you don't mind because I could see another option where the average of the rankings could be taken to provide a more accurate result....

Chrono Compendium Discussion / IRC Policy??

I realize that the complaint wiki won't really address much since it addressed that one problem for which it was started for.
I don't get why members who are banned from the forum have to be banned from the IRC as well. It is completely unnecessary punishment because the forum and the irc are completely different places.
I wish that you guys would unban everyone who was banned from the forum. They should be allowed to use the IRC. They did nothing to deserve being kicked from the IRC and it's just a crappy policy.

Hey guys. I'm keeping track of this really cool fandub for FF6 found here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQYZA_zO5D4&feature=PlayList&p=477F27AC26C31A5D&index=1 . And I thought "Why not make one for Chrono Trigger?" Except one catch... I want it all in Japanese. I'd be doing it with the translation patch done by KWhazit and the group.
I really want voice actors who can pronounce things in Japanese... especially males. I'd really like it if people could help me. Though I know it'll be much harder to get people to volunteer who can speak Japanese, it's what I want to do. Does anyone want to participate? I'd really appreciate it!

I will NOT be taking main characters yet. The only main character who needs a voice in this first update is Melchoir(called Bosch in this version). This encompasses talking to people in Truce village and the Millenial Fair. There are over 10 minor characters who have lines, so this should be enough for now. Please feel free to send lines for more than one character.
