Polling / Crono and Gang VS THE EMPIAH

So, just for s's and g's the gang revs up the Epoch and heads to A Long Time Ago, which just happens to be in a galaxy far far away.
Crono and everyone meet up with the Rebels and set out to put a stop to THE EMPEROR's tyrannical reign and save the future...or something.
Lightsaber duels, Jedi mind tricks, and interstellar dogfights ensue, how do you think things turn out? Feel free to come up with any crazy scenario you feel like.

SO I finally get Cross in the mail yesterday (YAY!)
and now all I ever see is the game over screen! Fight the giant gryphon thing, game over
fight the 6-year-old dragoon, game over (furckin ice blast)
now I'm fighting this stupid hydra and guess what? I DIED A-FREAKING-GAIN!
After about 5 playthroughs of Chrono Trigger, there's no way I was prepared for this difficulty jump...or do I just suck? Am I the only one who sucks at Chrono Cross?

with most forums, a little magus sprite will represent whether or not there are any new posts, but for some reason, the general discussion forum has in text "new posts" Is it normal for it to be text?

Polling / Best idea for a Chrono spin-off game?

So which of these games do you think would be the best spin-off game for the Chrono series? A law-themed text adventure in Pierre: Ace Attorney!; a high-speed action platformer in Lightspeed the Lavos; a rea-time strategy with all the beasts from the chronoverse in ChronoCraft; or the Puzzle/FPS (Time) Portal? Or perhaps, you can think of a better one? Please share!

Chrono / Gameplay Casual Discussion / Why would Magil be in Serge's time period? (RD...possible Cross, spolilers)

So I'm wondering, if Magil is Magus, why is he in the present? The only possible reason I can think of is that he knows Kid is Schala, but that's not even revealed until after the whole Frozen Flame crazy light incident. And how would he have known Kid was Schala, is that's the case? DId I just not pay attention to some part of the game, is it revealed in one of the six other endings I haven't unlocked, or what?
And while I'm talking about RD multiple endings, just to keep from cluttering the board, I'll throw in another question. I heard that RD has some sort of NG+ mode similar to CT. But I can't seem to figure out how to acess it. Or is there no NG+ and it just depends on what choices you make in the game?

Chrono / Gameplay Casual Discussion / never played Cross before, which characters should I use?

Well, after just beating Chrono Trigger for the first time in my life a few weeks ago, I decided I wanted to try the sequel. I have it ordered and I should be getting it soon.
But I heard this game has over 40 stinkin characters, and that a lot of the characters are just filler! So, how many people are allowed on a party at once, and which characters should I use to get the most out of the story? ARe there any characters with there own interesting stories that would be worth looking into?
I'm thinking Kid is a definite one, because after a few spoilers and playing radical dreamers, I think her character is just interesting enough to keep whenever possible. And that's the extent of my knowledge of the characters of this game. Oh...and that a certain character might die depending on how fast you play the game...I have no clue whether or not she's important though, I'll have to wait and see.
If possible, please keep spoilers to a minimum. It's not very often I can get into a game as fresh and unspoiled as I am right now, I'd like it to be a completely new experience.

sorry if this doesn't belong here, I don't know where else to put it.
I'm posting this at the risk of breaking some taboo/rule/federal law (:O) but I'm trying to play radical dreamers on ZSNES but can't seem to get it to work.
I downloaded the Japanese ROM file but when I load it all I get is a black screen.
And if that problem ever gets resolved, could someone tell me how to patch a ROM file? I played Pokemon Shiny Gold, and all I had to do there was rename the patch to be the same as the ROM I was playing. Is it the same thing here, or is there a different method to patching ROMs I don't know about that I have to do with this one? If there is, could someone tell me how?

Heya. I'm new here, obviously. I'm a huge Chrono Trigger fan, and I've been looking for decent fansites and just happened to stumble across this one. Pretty cool place.
