Chrono Compendium Discussion / Spell Check
« on: December 18, 2008, 03:53:51 pm »
Is it possible to add normal Chronoverse terms to the Spell Check Dictionary so they don't pop up every time they are written and subsequently checked for spelling?

Just curious.  You can list reasons why, or just vote.

edit: modified the question to include everyone

Chrono Compendium Discussion / Possiible forum glitch? (minor)
« on: March 13, 2008, 08:24:38 pm »
Recently, it seems that the Magus character stays as "New Post" Magus, even after reading  all new home and work...not sure if it is just me but it is annoying.  It does go away with "Mark all posts as read", though.

General Discussion / Healthcare
« on: February 26, 2008, 08:54:31 am »
Wasn't sure on how to do a poll, but:  How would you like a countires healthcare system to be run?

Privately run? per the USA
Run by the government? a la Canada
Both? (e.g. everyone is covered, but if you want to pay extra, you can get a private doctor/surgeon/etc and skip the longer wait times.....just an example, could be any other combination)

At the very least I would prefer a government run method.  It is their duty to take care of the citizens and as such, providing a basic level of healthcare is necessary for a better, more productive society.  A healthy person does not miss work and a healthy person is (probably) more apt to find a job.  Health is a basic human right and privatizing Health care is an injustice to the society.

How about privatizing the police or the firefighters?  You were just saved by a policeman from a mugger!  But you don't have police insurance....too bad, that will be $250.  Your house is on fire!  But you didn't pay the firefighter company, so they did not put the big medallion on the front of your house, so the firetruck drives by while throwing a brochure for their firefighting services at you, yelling "Choose Blazebegone Co!"  I'm sure my point is clear now....oh wait...I am dying!  but I don't have health insurance...or I do actually!  Yes! is a preexisting condition, better luck next time...
And I'm spent.

Chrono / Gameplay Casual Discussion / Chrono Cross hidden dialog option
« on: January 19, 2008, 12:18:47 am »
While reminiscing about the Chrono series over the past week, I recalled a hidden option in one of the dialog screens.  I never bothered to look to see if anyone came across it back in 2000-2001 era, so I'll ask now I suppose.

Has anyone ever found, when trying to enter Viper Manor, through the gate, when Solt and Peppor (and maybe Ketchop) were in the way...that there was some dialog options and in one of them, it had 2 or 3 options to choose from.  i accidentally hit down and extra time and the cursor went to a blank area.  I hit X or whatever the Ok button is and then a bunch of little cats came swarming to the gates, chasing off the bad guys... cant remember if it was new game + or not...

Anyone else come across this?  I assume so, but I figure I'd ask anyway..

Chrono / Gameplay Casual Discussion / When Crono defeats Lavos..
« on: January 18, 2008, 12:53:05 pm »

I was always under the impression that Crono and Co. defeat Lavos in 1999 via the bucket.  i was also under the impression that they could only access Lavos through the bucket.  Yet, I have read in multiple areas of the Encyclopedia and Forums that Crono and co.  defeated Lavos in 12000BC, as suggested in "Trigger and Cross".  it is also mentioned various times that if you "defeat Lavos in 1999 or in any other time" (paraphrased).  Now, it has been almost 6 years or more since I have played Cross and less for Trigger so I may have forgotten something, but where, oh where, does it suggest the previous two points??  Please and thank you.

I had a thought yesterday that prompted me from being a lurker, to a registrant...

I am withdrawing my theory for further chin-tapping thought.  Will update later if I don't unravel it in the mean time...
