General Discussion / Bye bye 3D Realms
« on: May 08, 2009, 10:12:20 am »
Not sure if of you heard, but 3D Realms closed down...the news is a few days old, but I didn't hear about it until this morning.  Well, it looks like Duke Nukem Forever will never ever be released.

General Discussion / YouTube videos loading REALLY slow..
« on: April 30, 2009, 12:19:49 am »
Ok, this is starting to get on my nerves, it's been happening for about two days now, every other video website works just fine, but YouTube videos are loading slow as hell. And yes, I have Googled this problem, and nothing seems to work.

It maybe because of the traffic on there, but is anybody else experiencing this? There have only been a few videos that load normally for me, while the rest take about 30 minutes to get a few seconds of viewing.

General Discussion / The Beatles’ Remastered Albums
« on: April 20, 2009, 01:58:11 am »
This is sort of old news, though it's not old until it's happened...but anyways, on September 9th, the Beatles' remastered albums are set to come out, no not just a few songs put onto one CD, all their studio albums, even Magical Mystery Tour, and Past Masters I & II.

Now, me being a big fan of The Beatles, I am very very excited about this! Especially since they're all going to be in stereo too, even their earlier albums that were originally in mono. I can't wait to hear Sgt. Peppers, the White Album, Abbey Road, and Let It Be remastered!! And of course their earlier albums, especially Beatles For Sale, and A Hard Day's Night.

General Discussion / Full Metal Panic! Live-Action Movie
« on: April 12, 2009, 10:10:59 pm »
I say it's going to be bad, because, most likely, Hollywood will screw it up. It's said that they're making Zac Efron (High School Musical) to be Sousuke Sagara. I will be definitely pissed if he is going to be Sousuke. I have nothing really much to say, but I probably won't watch it, even though I love Full Metal Panic!, the live-action movie will most likely be crap.

They should at least pick someone more suitable for the main role.

I just hope that Dreamworks and Steven Spielberg do justice to the Ghost in the Shell live-action movie.

General Discussion / StumbleUpon
« on: March 26, 2009, 12:08:37 am »
Anyone use StumbleUpon? It's probably one of the best dang addon I've used. It keeps me busy when I'm bored...especially when I can't play any online games because I'm torrenting, hehe.

Welcome / Birthday / Seeya! Forum / Back
« on: March 25, 2009, 04:06:27 am »
I am back, though I never officially announced my departure. And I'm back as in I'll try to post more, or at least lurking more, because for the last few months I've just been checking the site for news and that's about it.

General Discussion / my songs
« on: August 22, 2008, 12:08:37 am »
Made a Myspace profile for them, so it'd be easier.

Removed some songs because I'm recording remakes of them, uploaded 2 new versions of previous songs, and a new song. (I actually used a metronome!) Enjoy! Hopefully at least two people do...

Note: I don't have any rock songs up yet...if I had drums then I could be pumping some out. But I still enjoy doing the kind of music I do.

I have about three more songs in progress at the moment. Hopefully I can get them out some time next month.

General Discussion / Apogee comes back from the dead!
« on: July 16, 2008, 12:17:21 am »
That's right. In case some of you don't know, Apogee made the original Duke Nukem and Duke Nukem 2. And was 3D Realms former name. Now they have resurrected back into a separate company:

Quote
Correction: 3DR has nothing to do with the new Apogee, other than helping to set it up -- but no management role at all. It's a real rebirth, and has access to several original Apogee brands/titles.

And for their first release, a Duke Nukem Triology for the DS and PSP.

Quote
Features include:

    * 9 Different World Locations
    * 36 Action-Packed Levels
    * 3D Accelerated Graphics
    * 3D Characters with Detailed Textures
    * Real-Time Particle and Lighting Effects
    * Multi-Mode Play with up to 5 Different Styles of Game Play Action
    * Multi-Player Action
    * Total Ass-Kicking Weapons

And I don't think it's a remake of the first three, but new games.

Quote
Apogee is bringing the King of Action himself, Duke Nukem, to the handheld console market with three new missions, together called the Duke Nukem Trilogy™. Apogee Software is producing the Trilogy under an exclusive license agreement with 3D Realms and MachineWorks Northwest LLC.  The Trilogy is comprised of three episodes: Critical Mass™, Chain Reaction™, and Proving Grounds™, with an engaging storyline that spans all three games. The episodes will being released sequentially, beginning in the summer of 2009.

EDIT: After reading that more...I'm still not sure if it's remakes/ports with new episodes, or completely new games...

General Discussion / Some computer help
« on: July 05, 2008, 01:53:34 am »
Ok, I am having some problems, they could only be minor.

I need help accessing my other hard drive, here's the problem:

I had Ubuntu on my second, and apparently the boot menu thing was saved to my primary hard drive, I think the partition might have been too, because when I had reformatted it, and even when the secondary was plugged in, it wouldn't show it.

But Ubuntu is still on it, and I can't access it. It doesn't show up in Windows, but it does in the Ubuntu Live disc, but it says it cannot be mount.

I would really appreciate some help, because all my songs are on that drive, and some other things I backed up. I would like a way that would require to NOT format anything.

I'm in desperate need of doing something...Anybody need some voice acting or something like that done? I'm bored...as hell...and still some more long days of summer left.

And since I'm have writer's block, it is tough to continue making my album which I've been at it for a year...well I guess that's because it's all me and I don't let my band add or take away from my songs. It's a solo project.

Here's a little thing I found in one of my old GMR magazines from 2004.

General Discussion / Star Ocean
« on: June 16, 2008, 03:11:50 am »
I've been playing the first Star Ocean, and to tell you the truth, I didn't expect it to be so good! I've always had it but never really played or got into it. Although I'm not done yet, but close to getting there, it doesn't seem to long of a game. The battle system was a lot better then I expected, I like that you can have four in a party, and I also like that you can move around.

I've already started on the second one, and I love it! The battle system is much better, and easier to move. I can't believe I've ignored Star Ocean for so long...

General Discussion / Some voice acting
« on: June 05, 2008, 12:56:27 am »
So here's a sample I did because I wanted to test me out, but with lack of some sort of script, I made a short one up.

http://www.sendspace.com/file/filfpr

I was struggling on how "the other guy's" voice should sound like, I still don't think that one fits.

I also want to do more, so if you could, I could use some help on an original script.

This probably should have been in Kajar Labs....

General Discussion / SATA Hard Drive Help
« on: May 18, 2008, 12:23:50 pm »
Ok, I'm fairly new to SATA drives, I know there are some forums to help with this, but all the information is scattered everywhere.

The problem is, that my friend said the hard drive was fried, but it turns out it wasn't, since my motherboard detects it, well through the SATA device boot thing, but my Windows disk doesn't detect it. And by the way, I'm trying to install it on a new motherboard.

I would appreciate it if anybody could help.

General Discussion / Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
« on: May 16, 2008, 07:58:36 pm »
It has to be one of my most favorite movies. Second on my list, next to Forest Gump. I mean, wow, I've seen nothing like it, yet. I know it's been out for a while, but I just watched it this year. One if Depp's finest performance.
