General Discussion / Valkyrie Profile Coincidence

Does anybody else think that the new character Rufus from Valkyrie Profile Silmeria looks oddly similar(Similar? Silmera? Muhahaha!)to the RTP Elf guy from RPGMaker 2k3?

Chrono Stream / The Official Third Demo/Quest Plot Development Thread

This is where we post any new ideas or anything dealing with the third quest, which might become a third demo. Azarath, if you could sticky this, please.
Where we left on with Alex, he had just stumbled his way upon a new dimension, found about a disease, found herbs to cure the disease, then brought them back to the hospital and saved everybody. In his party are: Alex, Therris, and Vera.
In Crono's quest, they also had found their way into a new dimension, then found that Porre rules and Guardia is destroyed. While searching the Guardia ruins, they found that the Guardians have a secret refuge. They also found that the Guardians were being forced to sacrifice people to a monster in order to be allowed to live there. Crono and Marle killed the monster, and found out that the monster was a robot created by the alternate-dimension Crono and Marle. When they killed the monster they also saved a person about to be sacrificed, and she is alternate Crono and Marle's daughter, and she joins your party.
Ideas? I think from here that both sides should either go to a new time period, where they find and solve the problem of that era, or we put in something in the plot about the Chrono Stream, which leads us to another thing we need. We don't have what the Chrono Stream actually is. I propose that we make it an "End of Time" like place, except it is the gate between the various dimensions, rather than the various time periods as in Chrono Trigger. Anybody else with ideas?

Kajar Laboratories / RPGMaker XP for Free?

I'm seen RPGMaker XP around some places that charge you for it. You can get a 30 day trial, but you have to buy the full version. I was wondering if it's just this site that makes you pay for it, or if all sites make you pay for it. Can I get it free anywhere?

If anyone could help, we need an artist to do the face sprites of some characters in Chrono Stream. We used some of the RPGMaker faces but they don't really fit. Two of the sprites are on this page.

The Cyrus sprites(purple caped one) and the Glenn sprite. We are using these sprites as two of the characters in Chrono Stream, except that for the Glenn one, we changed his hair to blue, so if you could make it with blue hair rather than green. The third and final character is using Schala's sprite. The only change is that her robes are all black, as is her hair(Gothic, I know). This is small, but it's all I could find at the spur of the moment.

EDIT:Seems the Schala pic link isn't working. I guess I'll have to hope that you guys know what Schala's sprite look like.

Chrono Stream / The One List to Rule Them All

Ok enough with the slump. I've decided to compose this list of everything so far. If someone could pin this, so we could edit it later, that'd be great.
STORY:
Crono - Crono goes on mission, Marle tags along, they find forest place, fight through it, meet Therrist. Togethr they go into this underground place, save an unconcius Alex by fighting a monster, go through a warp thing that the monster escapes through, find themselves in an alterante continent, where Guardia has fell, and Porre rules, then they go into the caves in the back of the Guardia castle ruins, where they fight through it and come to a Gaurdian(as in the people of Guardia, not the word) refuge. They find that a monster is making the people make sacrifices in order to live there, they kill him, and find that its a robot created by the alternate Crono and Marle, and they possibly(depending if they get there in time)save the girl being sacrificed, and the demo ends.
Alex - Alex is about to take on Monster in cave, him and soldiers get butts whooped (screen black - Crono and co save Alex). Alex wakes in a hospital. Leaves to find Therris - his friend that helped Crono and Marle. Go on a separate route to fall in an underground cavern. Fight monster's brother. Enter the "secret" area of the forest. Find the warp and enter. From there Alex is in the same world Crono is in. He and Therris find the people of Porre are sick from some unknown disease. A healing herb should cure it but the only place to find it is in the Tower of Porre. Other Alex left a while ago but has not returned. Alex gets sent on a journey to get the herbs. Fights to the top of the tower. Side: Ability to get a new charater (Vera) who shoots people with a gun. She's pissed someone stole her herbs, will gladly join you. Get to the top to find monster. Fight monster and win (hopefully). Return to hospital where herb is administered. People happy - yay - end of demo Alex.

Crono - The prince I guess you could say of Guardia who is on a mission for Guardia
Therris - Alex's swordsmen friend, briefly joins Crono, then Alex
Marle - Crono's wife, princess of Guardia
Clara(Don't know if she counts as a main character) - Nurse at the hospital
Verra - Girl who got her herbs stolen, joins Alex
And the girl you rescue(Who's name is caught behind my mental block) - Can't say due to SPOILER.
FEATURES OF GAME:
Being able to play again as old CT favorites.
Travel between two unique dimensions.
And more to come...

Hey I'm making a game tentitivley called Chrono Option. It's a sort of Choose Your Own Adventure in text(Thus the Option, because you have options to choose). The engine I'm using is really easy to develop for, and all I really need is one or two plot developers to, well, develop the plot. Let me know if your interested.
