That is true. I used to go on their forums and see tons of threads saying how they need to go back to the old format, but apparently no one is listening, which sucks. I wan't some new Portal and Judgement day episodes god dammit.

Sephiroth should have prevailed in Advent Children. A split-second realization that you care about your friends does not equip you to defeat a flying demi-god.

Indeed.

In fact, I've always hated Seph bashers, because it wasn't really him, it was Jenova controlling him, as she did Cloud several times. Besides, Sephiroth stabs Cloud straight in the fucking shoulder, yet he can still move with ease.

The FFVII Ultimania guide says that it is Sephiroth that was controlling Jenova I thought...

But it is true that Sephiroth wasn't fighting with his full power in AC, unfortunately at the end of FFVII, it sure as hell seemed like he was fighting with everything he had.

And come to think of it, V_Translanka is right, Lavos is the most powerful opponent any of them ever fought, hell, could Cloud or Sephiroth even beat Zeal? A hallation vs Heartless Angel.

I actually think that the people at G4 aren't really dumb shits, they just have no idea what they are doing. It's the same reason why people think George Bush is a dumb ass. He just has no clue what is going on.

I would have chose the Day of Lavos. Then if you're lucky you won't even need to see 2300 AD, you get a two for one deal.

So even though Cloud has beaten Sephiroth twice, he would somehow not only lose to Sephiroth, but also to the CT gang, who also apparently lose to Sephiroth...?

I like to pretend she married Fritz. Then Fritz flees from the burning orphange with Taban...wait, what?

I somehow find it hard to believe that a barrier of any kind would stop a rift in the space time continnuam from opening.
...

Okay, look, were you not reading what he said? Yes, it is a tear in the space-time continuum, but it has to expand physically in order for the three people inside of it to exit out back into reality! If it cannot expand physically--meaning that hole is really there as a physical object--then it cannot deposit them and they cannot travel through.

What I'm saying is that by standing next to the barrier and activating the gate, the barrier wouldn't stop it, the gate would just open up and suck the barrier in with when it closes. A gate  has no physical form, the Chancellor didn't see it because of this. You wouldn't just run into an invisible object one day and think, "Crap, must be a gate." You would just walk right through it. It would be like putting a box over a worm hole, activating it the same way a gate needs to be activated, and the worm hole not "opening" because of a box being over it. The reason why it doesn't expand is because it doesn't make sense for the game, that's the only reason.

My point is that how can a barrier stop something like a time gate from being activated. I mean, putting a box over a gate wouldn't stop it from opening, more like it would just travel in time with whoever activated the gate to begin with.

Nice. Although I would be more impressed if that were a Major League Baseball score.

I think the only thing one can gather from the games is that Schala must have a wide variety of magic skills, just like Magus. I suppose that one could make an assumption that she may use shadow magic, as it seems like that type of magic is popular in Zeal, plus I don't believe Lavos would react to much to other forms of magic other than shadow (it just seems to fit the cliche of wizards summoning huge evil dudes in games and anime. Magus summoned Lavos with shadow magic (one could assume), Schala was activating the Mammon Machine with some kind of magic, I just assume it is some type of shadow seeing as how the only other frame of reference to someone "summoning" is when Magus attempts to do so). But I think the easiest answer is that she is just skilled in many elements of magic.

Which in itself is weird. How the hell can someone put a barrier over something like a gate?

Time, Space, and Dimensions / Re: Cause of the Dimensional Split
« on: May 17, 2007, 11:28:55 am »
Maybe the split had already happened, as more than one dimension was already in existence to begin with. No split ever occured, just one reality where Serge was saved and one where he wasn't. Quantum Physics theory of Quantum Sucide says that one man can never percieve his own death, because his conscience will always shift realities to the one where by some miracle he survived. Of course, quantum theory also says that every outcome of every chance is played out in one reality or another, and a good example of this is the Reptites surviving in one dimension, or possibly and probably more than one. The dimensions we see in the game are so mangled by FATE, Lavos, and the Frozen Flame that things seem to cross dimensions due to space time being all screwy. Essentially, there never was a split per se, only one different reality were Serge died. The cause of the split we see in the game was already in existence, in fact, there isn't a cause for a split at all, because it never really happened, Home World is just a reality in which Serge's conscience mind resides after his body in another world is killed. Therefore, going back in time in Home world would place you in Home World's history, as every reality has it's own history. This could also mean that the day of lavos was played out in one reality, the ruined world of 2300 AD could still exist, in one reality or another. And the dead sea is a culmination of Chronopolis' time crash and the space time being jacked up thanks to it being thrown back in time. Events that would change what Chronopolis was in 2400 are all played out inside of the dead sea. Still don't quite have a good theory for that one...let me know what you think Zeality.
