Chrono News / Re: "Chrono Trigger" for Boss Fight Books
« on: May 15, 2014, 11:19:04 pm »
I hope a lot of you are checking this out. It's a cleverly disguised autobiography that digs deep in Chrono Trigger's story-telling and development history. I think it's really well written.

It's always nice to get any kind of new Chrono Trigger material, but I'm enjoying this a lot more than I thought I would.

The Scrooge McDuck comics are always fantastic. Great post. Did you know that the Soapy charater is based on Jefferson Randolph II? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soapy_Smith

I love new beginnings. I just got a job working for a major newspaper here in NYC. I'm going to miss my current job, but financially this was the right move for me. I'm a little nervous, but I learned to embrace change. So here I go.

BlazBlue: Continuum Shift is blowing my mind. The story has so many twists it wrecks my face at every turn.

I stick to Capcom fighters mainly because I'm too old to get good at anything else, but the BlazBlue community seems pretty awesome. I've watch a few tournies and the gameplay looks pretty intenese.

Also. am i the only one who consider the original Paper Mario to be better than Mario RPG? Hell i would even go as far to say the game is better than the entire FF series

I thought it was fun, but Super Mario RPG would be my choice between the two.

The last thing we want to see is something with the Chrono name attached that has little or nothing to do with the original story and characters.  I'd like to think that Square/Enix wouldn't risk it.

I'm not a Cross hater by any means, but didn't this sort of happen already?

I'm a descendant of Sacagawea, from Lewis and Clark fame. My grandmother's lineage can directly be traced back to the man she married. (My grandmother shares the same last name of Charbonneau.)

Oh yeah? Well I am Connor MacLeod of the Clan MacLeod. I was born in 1518 in the village of Glenfinnan on the shores of Loch Shiel. And I am immortal.

This is the part of the film where the female lead removes her clothing.

Seriously though...well played.

Pft. I've got you all beat. One of my classmates in high school Spanish was related to Dave Thomas, founder of Wendy's.

I always thought that was kind of cool.

Dragon Warrior on the NES. I remember being really excited when I was finally able to defeat a Goldman. Every time I ran into a higher level enemy I was floored. I loved traveling from town to town, even though the towns were bare bones. I also thought it was great that the game didn't end once you saved the Princess.

Religion, just like the government of some nations, has been a victim of selfish politics, and if you're going to take up arms against a false target then you may as well become an anarchist.

I'm going to stay out of this debate, but I've been making this point for years. I'm just happy to see someone else say it.

Hehe, I heard 5 is more like an enhanced version of 4 (the systems have many similarities).
However I'm afraid I won't be able to play it unless I upgrade my PC (I don't plan to buy PS3 or Xbox3660).

I got 5, and barely played it. Four is better in almost every way. The only thing 5 has going for it is online Co-op.

Hmm... I am inherently skeptical of any list of "most important historical figures" in which Guttenberg isn't in the top three. The moveable type printing press is one of the greatest inventions in human history; it ranks with the likes of the invention of the written language itself (and written language ranks above the invention of any form of mathematics).

I'm sure he's on the list. It was only showing the top 10. Tesla better be on there as well.

I recommend picking up Red Dead Redemption, it does take about an hour or so of playing to get into it (much like a GTA game) but once you do get into it you'll be hooked I assure you. It runs really smoothly, not a whole lot of load screens and gameplay is near to perfect, the only real flaws being the lack of any real HP GUI and the horse controls are a pain to get used to but you'll get used to them fast no less. Another few games that are coming out this year that I'll be snatching up are Halo Reach, Fallout: New Vegas and Fable 3 all of which look to be shaping up awesomely.

As far as RDR goes, I've been playing the game for about 20+ hours, and I haven't even touched the main game yet. The online mode is so fun!
