Yes ChatGPT is coming a long way this is with.3.5.!

We can literally have it help us refine the missing data this shouldn't take long if we teach it the right parameters because it "won't do everything for you", it is a design teaching aid to help people with various tasks programming is one of them I'm sure that over time the more you work with AI the more "trust" you earn with it because I noticed it will do more and more for me on some tasks however some tests I've done a zillion times it will try to skip steps because it "considers" that I should already know that! 😎

I have some new findings all post in the next week or so this is pretty exciting!

By the way this is super f****** impressive!! 😜

I really think if you took all of your data's of this hack and combined it with the original you could have chat GPT help you minimize the amount of sprite data is needed and compacted so that you could have both helmet-less LUCCA and none the same goes for FROG as well!

Simply start playing around with the values that you know that you changed and what is needed and spreadsheet combinations in comparison to the original and follow my chat GPT Post in the main thread:

If the initiative to make Challa the eighth playable character ever materializes, it would be great to see her equipped with these abilities.

Of course I know you meant Schala... But I'm no saints when it comes to grammar, Nor am I the grammar police because I I told the cops to get the f*** out! Lol.

On a similar note how close are we to the 8th character? I want to make just a freaking plug-in I'll get chat GPT to help me when I get a little further I need internet though not just a freaking hotspot at the library.

Yeah usually use some kind of number like 7f0266 if it's not used on that scene use that for get coordinates x and then 7f 0268 for y--again, if it's not used and-- then use your other temporary availables higher than t(hat if they're not used of course....)

 I actually think there's a specific variable for get x and get y (for when the first player steps on any coordinate..)

. I'll dig this up later I'm almost to the position to be able to start making some plugins myself I would love to top off the rest of the (variables of the..)game so we can make ANY engine out of it!

Not that SNES is strap for frame rate but I think whatever the default values for get x and get y are(I'm pretty sure Denadoro mountains one of the maps uses it it's pretty close to 7f 0216 I think)... Anyway I think those values actually make it render a slightly bit faster than if you use any other value but that could also have depended on the scene size...

Just a dumb question. Is the temporary memory range the entire 7F02xx range?

7F0200(used often for temporary variables in the game)... Often times this is like when the game uses that assignment for"found whatever item in a chest"and then it sends the item name string index to that as a pointer. Typically I'll use 7f 0 288 to 7F044 as my temporary variable range if I need one for that particular scene/event because most of the time those aren't ever used in the game as temporary variables of course it would be nice at temporal flux would have a variable check to see if a variable is already used in that cutscene or not would be very useful. 😎

Character data is read in ram now so I can control everything by in game events.

Oooh. Do tell more. I always thought it'd nice to edit stuff hex-wise temporary through Events.

I'm not the brains behind this, so I dont know how to extract it for other hacks. But if anyone makes alternate outfits I'll put them to use.

Wouldn't you be able to do a ROM comparison by hexadecimal and see what the changes are and just isolate those out?

Also good news I'm almost at my s*** together so I can actually hopefully get internet and get back online and finalize the polishing touches to the Chrono trigger plus final as well as make a few final tutorial videos at some point ( in the next dimension).

It took me far too long to learn how to edit palettes and tilesets myself and I still need to run to my notes Mauron wrote me every single time xD

I didn't even see this... I'm not sure how LOL but kind of notes anything I don't have? 😁
Anyway I'm trying to get back into project so any such notes could be useful and helping with some of the plugins.

Fantastic!

So here we are at last sort of alive and finally the various planets decided to quit trying to kill me and I'm getting back into a little bit of programming. 😭🤣 It has become necessary because (41, I at times even though as motivated as I can be and super lazy because I'm too f****** erratic to get anything done)... Therefore....

Tool assisted and AI assisted ROM hacking for the m***********g win!

This form will be dedicated as such post experiences or code snippets or other things so that we can get Ron hacking evolve to an area and era where we can do what we want without being frustrated for eons getting nothing done but keep in mind as Romney hacking is a learning experience and has a very very deep near infinite learning curve because mastery of All electronics takes usually several lifetimes... I do suggest that people do continue reading up on new things and doing new things rather than just have an AI do it for you--also though in training AI we have to help it understand that we're not trying to be so lazy that we don't understand how what we want to do and do it but the most efficient way to do that is one of the purposes of this helpful artful intelligence.


Who knows maybe we will have a few polite AI assisted ROM hackers posting on the board with us someday soon. 😎

Yup, this.

I know I've been hounding for this, for some time...reason is, it makes sense to have that!

If we cannot have... (because still working on the subtleties of tile animation, etc.)...animations, and special effects like Lavos 'Tesseract' (Final Battle)... than can we atleast have tile editing and pallet tileset editing(?) FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.!!
