Chrono News / Re: Happy 20th North American Release, Chrono Trigger!
« on: August 25, 2015, 04:07:11 am »
Square Enix has shown me exactly how much they cared about the Chrono series over the last decade or so, which isn't much, until it comes to copyright and shutting down good projects. Yes, I'm still salty about each and every fan project they've C&D'd. Maybe they'll release something Chrono related (that isn't a soundtrack album and isn't a port, though I wouldn't mind actual remakes or remasterings) when they're done milking the old Final Fantasy games, until they've ported and re-ported them on every system imaginable. I think really the only games I care about these days, with Square Enix's name on them, are the ones they publish.

But anyway, happy (sorta) late 20th anniversary.

No, usually video cards last way longer, defects are usually rare, but it mostly depends on who manufactures it. Like if you had an ECS ATI Radeon HD 5770 it's more likely to be defective (because most ECS products are cheap and usually not reliable) than an XFX ATI Radeon HD 5770.

I have an XFX Radeon HD 4770, I've overclocked it, I spend, to the least, 8 hours a day on my gaming computer (well did, where I'm at I don't have my gaming computer), play mostly every game at high settings, it's hooked up to my TV, a lot of times I leave it on during the night, I've had it for almost a year, and I have yet to have any problems with it. But like Bekkler said, it's best to check reviews and stay away from specific brands, the card I got had some pretty good ratings and reviews, and was it cheap (even cheaper now than when I got it).

A note on ECS, I've had an ECS motherboard for nearly 3 years and maybe it's just luck but it has also been holding up, even though I've been a bit rough with it. Though I think it's time for an upgrade, whenever I can afford it, because my motherboard is bottle-necking my video card, since the PCI-E slot is only 1.0, and my video card is a 2.0 PCI-E card (might as well get a motherboard with PCI-E 3.0 just in case I ever want to upgrade my video card again), I'd also like to at least have a quad core :D

General Discussion / Re: Humanity: Good News, Bad News
« on: December 01, 2010, 04:43:31 am »
Bad News: Humanity might not survive to eat all that turkey if this keeps up.

This somewhat brings me back to a dream I had a few years ago, in which I was watching the news (which I never really do, since I usually just stumble upon the latest news anyway) and it said that China either sent nukes or got nuked, don't remember which.
Anyway, I fear it's not going to get any better, tensions were already high, especially when North Korea sunk a South Korean ship killing around 40 or so sailors earlier this year. One false move from any of those countries, including the US, may lead to very bad consequences...

It could be a number of things, from your video card dying, to your power supply not being enough, or power surges, to your monitor dying. So I dunno lol.
That happens to me, but I know why, because of slight power surges, but it only happens where I'm currently at.

General Discussion / Bye bye 3D Realms

Not sure if of you heard, but 3D Realms closed down...the news is a few days old, but I didn't hear about it until this morning.  Well, it looks like Duke Nukem Forever will never ever be released.

It depends on the video type. I stick with low quality and it goes at a decent pace for me. AND I also get longer videos too.

In my case it doesn't. It doesn't matter what the video type is, it loads it really really slow, or doesn't load at all. And...it's still doing it today.

I really liked Code Geass.

Some other mecha series I enjoyed were Rahxephon, Gurren Lagann, Eureka Seven, Full Metal Panic and Neon Genesis Evangelion.

And I'm not sure if it'd be my internet connection, because even when my torrents are downloading, I can load videos on other websites normally.

Hmm, well I haven't got any errors. The videos just load, really, really slow, sometimes they don't even load at all.

Ok, this is starting to get on my nerves, it's been happening for about two days now, every other video website works just fine, but YouTube videos are loading slow as hell. And yes, I have Googled this problem, and nothing seems to work.

It maybe because of the traffic on there, but is anybody else experiencing this? There have only been a few videos that load normally for me, while the rest take about 30 minutes to get a few seconds of viewing.

To me, all Beatles songs are my favorite. It would be nearly impossible for me to choose if I had to.
