Title: At the ends of the decade...
Post by: Acacia Sgt on July 02, 2012, 04:11:04 am: So July the 2nd rolls by once more, and I turn 19 now.

I must say, this last year has been quite something. College isn't that much tougher as I thought it'd be, but I must admit I haven't done as well as I would've expected. A good deal is my fault willingly and another seems to show that I'm quite into an unfortunate habit of overlooking/forgetting stuff and not so much being not learning stuff. Seems I have a new challenge for the years ahead, but I won't let that slow me down.

Also, just yesterday was very first time participating in something as big as Elections. I voted and all that, but even looking now I doubt the side I voted for is gonna win. It's a bit unfortunate but nothing can be done about it now.

Well, time to go on with life, whatever mishaps and hurdles lies therein. Maybe I'm just that pessimistic, but I think they are gonna out-weight whatever good will be coming this way too.

I constantly look back in pain of missing what I had as a child and neglected... yet it somehow doesn't cheapen the life I lead now, even though it isn't exactly a paradise.

My point is... Growing older can be a pain of you're a pessimist, which I am, yet somehow it is fully possible to enjoy every minute of it...well not every minute...

I thought 19 was my death sentence... But... Here I am 24. Good luck coming to a similar situation.

Well, I had a good time today. Certainly nothing big, but still enjoyable. I don't know, I just kinda have stopped seeing the day as something special. Nowadays I see it as just another day of the bunch. I still appreciate what my family does for me, but personally... yeah.

I didn't do anything of importance on my birthday except cause my poor mother a lot of physical pain haha. I'd rather have a day be celebrated where I did something spectacular.
