Title: So, I Had This Interesting Dream...
Post by: Lord J Esq on September 06, 2010, 11:12:19 pm
No, not me. Not at the moment, anyhow. Rather, this is the thread you can post in when those words apply to you. This topic is Sajainta Approved and endorsed over The Other Leading Topic by four out of five Radical Dreamers.

Remember, the dreams we have when we are asleep are not like the ones we have when we are awake, with some exceptions in instances of heavy fixation. When we wish for our dreams to come true, that's the waking ones we're usually talking about. The world would be an interesting place if it were the other kind.

*is eagerly awaiting Dream VR*

Anyhow, this is the place to write about your sleeping dreams.

I had a dream recently in which I was wandering around some kind of abandoned car lot in a dystopian future. I fell asleep in the back seat of one of the cars, and then some local miscreants pounced on the car, demanding that I give them cigarettes. The situation resolved itself when none other than Brad Pitt -- in full Aldo Raine characterization and dress, no less -- hopped into the driver's seat, gave everyone cigarettes, and drove me out of there.

I've started a habit of attempting to trace elements of my dreams to real world impressions that might have helped generate them, and this one was rife with my own fears about the economy. Once I started the process of working backward from the dream, I found that it had helped me remember specific economic data released within the past 24 hours before I had the dream. As such, I've started to wonder whether dreams might reflect some form of biological data compression. If so, it certainly may not be perfect, seeing as Inglorious Basterds got thrown in there for no reason.

lol you can always count on Brad Pitt to save the day.

I have a lot of reoccurring dreams that I have pretty often, but always with some kind of variant. Last night, it was one of my reoccurring dreams where I'm back in High School and failing all my classes. I don't really remember the details, but it was really annoying because I always have dreams specifically about that. Not about when I was in uni and actually was failing all my classes in the real world, but in a supposed time in High School where I was having a miserable time. How odd. My other reoccurring dreams have to do with this guy from High School who always pops up in my dreams, and then me smoking cigarettes and profoundly enjoying it. I hope I never develop that habit D: .

Here's a cool dream I had a few years ago::

I dreamt that I was the child of an angel and a demon, and was prophesied to be the Antichrist (yes, a female Antichrist.  XD).  Because of this, God ordered me to be hidden away in the depths of Purgatory for eternity so that I would never bring about the Apocalypse.  I was raised by one of the descendants of Abraham who had withered away and was nothing but a stooped skeleton shrouded in clothing.  His name was Iotha.  I didn't have a name, but I had beautiful white wings that I would use to fly and glide around the sanctuary.  I was not allowed to leave.

I had a double personality.  Amicable, serious, and wise in one instance, then demonic in another.  In the dream, I grabbed Iotha by the throat, lifted him up with strength surprising for a female, and started to speak in a manner unlike my own.  A deep, raspy, malicious, evil voice echoed and vibrated throughout the room.

"I am going to suck out your soul through your very blood.  Do you not know that the Devil will win, that he will conquer everything you hold dear?  That he will slit the throat of your beloved Christ in front of you?"

I had no control over which side was going to surface.

I grew restless and bored, trapped within the confines of a small area.  Against Iotha's wishes, I sneaked out and befriended one of the "inhabitants" of Purgatory--a knight from the Crusades who had not yet earned his right to Heaven (even after almost a millennia).  His name was William Blackwell.  He taught me about the "upper world" where he had once lived so long ago (Earth), a place I had no idea existed.  A place that he longed to return to in order to right his wrongs with the descendants of the people he slaughtered during the Crusades, in hopes of earning forgiveness for his sins.  Enchanted with this upper world, we made a plan to go there.

I had no idea that I was the future Antichrist.  I knew nothing else but the world I lived in and the far-off screams from Hell that I would hear at night while trying to sleep.  I wanted to see what was beyond Purgatory, what Iotha had kept hidden from me for my entire life.

I know, right?  I was so mad when my alarm clock woke me up.  I wanted to see the rest of the dream!

Christian mythology certainly is good fodder for dream imagery and other story pictures. I hate waking up in the middle of a good dream, so I share your frustration. On the other hand, waking up in the middle of a dream makes it a lot easier to remember, which is some consolation.

That is really a cool dream. So many of my dreams would make awesome novels or movies if I could ever remember them. I tend not to remember dreams past the first day. So I guess I will document a dream I had this morning right now. I usually only remember my morning dreams, because I wake up early in the morning from some thing or another, then when I realize it's too early, I go back to sleep and that is when I have my dreams.

So as far as I could remember, my dream had to do with my grandma, and this internet friend.

The beginning of the dream had to do with  me visiting my internet friend's house and he treated me really badly for some reason. He was really mean, and I think tried to rape me, so I ran away in the middle of the night and left my shoes there.

Next scene is me taking care of my Alzheimer's grandma who wanted to go on this walk along the coast. Somehow my internet friend popped up again. I asked him why he treated me so badly and he said that he was sorry and wouldn't treat me badly, but was offended because I said that he was a loser for not doing anything with his life. So he ended up taking this long walk with me and grandma while grandma was all confused about where we were going. Eventually me and the internet friend had a discussion about education and careers. I think dad might have been in this dream too, but wasn't so prominent in it. I think he was helping to take grandma on the walk.

Dammit, I spend so much of my time day dreaming about Snape and his Snapeliness, why the hell can't I ever have a dream about him?! I also never dream about my bf. I remember once having a dream about him where we had sex on this giant wall, but that was the only dream he's ever showed up in, I think.

I've had quite a few Harry Potter-related dreams (including some about Snape) over the past decade, but none of them are really memorable.  One of my brother's worst nightmares was about Hermione's face melting off.

I dream about my boyfriend a lot.  One reoccurring dream I have is of me being with someone else, but desperately wanting to be with my boyfriend and wondering why the hell I'm dating [insert other person here] and not D.  I like those dreams, because I wake up next to D and realize that the guy of my dreams is quite literally the guy of my dreams.  ;)

I've had a lot of very vivid, very interesting dreams since I quit smoking weed and drinking. Next one I have, I'll share.

I do have a kind of unique experience in dreaming that nobody has been able to explain or match so far.

Lately, I've been reminded of something that I can not find any answers for and never have been able to. Throughout my entire life thus far, I have had one long dream series, spread out over many years. It is in chronological sequence, never backtracking, and they have always been accurate to how much time had passed between them.

It started when I was a kid. I had a dream of this old beaten down, white house with fading paint and a tire swing in the front yard. I would play with this little girl that lived there, though I don't think I was supposed to. I had a couple of dreams like this where we had fun and played around and shared little kid secrets and then one dream came where she came to me and told me she that her family was moving away.

She didn't reappear in my dreams for a long while. When she did, it was for a couple dreams, in a new house, in a different place altogether, and then she had to go. She said she couldn't stay there any longer. The next dream didn't come until a couple years later. I was walking through a shipyard, past the rows of crates, and this was before I even knew what a shipyard was, but somehow I managed to create how it looked perfectly, even down to the details of the crates being different colors of red and blue and various others. I was walking through the shipyard and I saw her again. We talked for a few minutes and then she had to go to catch her boat.

That was the last dream I had in the series. This has been the only dream series I have ever had, and each dream has been remarkably vivid.

Since I've been sober again, I've been dreaming more, though I've been sleeping less, and I've had two more dreams in sequence, and there is a girl in them. I can not say for sure that it is the same one, though it seems very likely that it is. It has been.... almost 10 years since that dream of the shipyard, which has been exactly how long I've been smoking pot. See, when I smoke pot, I sleep more, but I dream a lot less.

In the first dream that I've had recently, we were lovers. We kissed and there was a deep love between us. Deeper than any I have ever known. It felt like we had known each other our entire lives.

The second dream I've had, which is the most recent and by far the most memorable, we started out having sex. Through the course of the dream, I met some unsavory people that she was stuck associating with. They came after me with threats of some kind. I can't remember now. We made a sort of compromise. I would help them earn money by selling their pot at my upcoming birthday party, to all of the people who showed up and I would take a 30% cut of the profits. In real life, my birthday is in April, so this is a bit off of real life time. Well, they didn't want me selling their drugs without being able to handle people who didn't want to pay, so they sent two goons to attack me and I was forced to protect myself with two knives I had found laying on the floor of an abandoned house.

One knife was sharp and thin and slid right into the flesh. The other was not so sharp and ridged, so it took a lot of force to shove into things. The first guy came at me, and I stabbed him about 6 or 7 times in the stomach and chest before being able to get his heart. Then the other guy came at me and I only had to stab him 3 or 4 times before hitting the heart. The dream was so vivid that I can still feel the way those knives felt in my hands.

I met up with the other guys a while later and they congratulated me on passing their test, but then told me that the girl had been taken by some bad business partners of theirs and they wanted me to go get her back. I was woken up by the phone ringing as I was standing outside of a compound looking at a sophisticated set up of mercenaries with guns.

There are more details to the dream than that, but I don't remember them accurately enough to explain them. Needless to say, I woke up pretty shaken. Not as shook up as the first time I've killed someone in a dream, but pretty shook up.

I don't know what this is. All I see pertaining to dreams is that same old bullshit for interpreting dreams that has always been around. Nobody I have ever talked to has had dreams anywhere near to this caliber or on such a grand scale as to be a dream series lasting an entire life. The fact that they are chronologically ordered and accurate to the length of time between them is even odder.

My question is, have any of you ever had anything like this or know anybody that has?

I feel pretty silly, but I can't help but expect to eventually run into this girl throughout the course of my life. I imagine that she won't recognize me, but I'll recognize her somehow. I imagine that she'll try walking away from me and I'll stop her and she'll get rude with me and I'll say that I've been dreaming of her my entire life and she'll get startled by it, but not much and look at me closer and say the same thing.

I feel kind of stupid saying that, but I can't help but hope. The dreams really ARE that vivid.

Most other dreams I have that are vivid take place in garbled versions of places I know in real life, but these dreams have always taken place in places I've never been before, and seem more real than any other dream. I want to know what this is and I can find nothing dealing with it.

In a lot of the dreams that I'm having these days, they are so vivid that it seems that I actually am there. In one dream I had the other night, I had the thought 'what if this is a dream'? So I tested it and I actually felt with my foot, could feel the pressure as I pressed it against an object, I was actually hearing the voices of the other people, seeing in pure color and high quality to the point where I can still remember the faces of the people I saw even though I had never seen them before in my life. Even with my nightmares where I wake up feeling that 'wtf' vibe, I enjoy the pure vividness of it all, even the confusing aspects.

Yes, I have.  Since I was 9 I've had my own "series" of dreams that have happened chronologically, becoming progressively more and more horrific and vivid (although they've always been vivid).  The last one I had in the "series" was about a year ago.  I have them every once in a while, and I write them down as soon as I wake up, even if it profoundly disturbs me to do so.  It's like this bizarre, twisted, fucked-up memoir.

Quote

I remember the first time I did that.  I was 5.  I was having a dream that I lived with the Gummi Bears (my favourite show at the time), and I was so excited.  I started to worry that it could be a dream, so I pinched myself to make sure.  I felt pain and was ecstatic that I wasn't making this dream up.  And then shortly afterward I woke up for school.  Boy, was I pissed.

It's the stuff that dreams are made of.

But seriously, some great fiction series can come out of people's dreams. Kind of like what Sajainta said about her dreams happening chronologically.

By the way, has anyone here had a dream that consisted of everyone involved speaking entirely in a foreign language? A couple of years ago, I had a dream where everyone was speaking entirely in French. Must've been because I was taking a French class at the time, but the details are far too hazy for me to remember. But I do remember that one detail, and I hated not being able to comprehend everything.

Still, I think it sucks that I sometimes might have had a really awesome dream and I forget it within the next day. It's because I can never bring myself to write these things down. My subconscious is telling me something, but I don't know what! Speak to me, subconscious mind! Speak, I say!

*Sigh* Anyway, can you relate to that or what?

Those dreams are so annoying because, as you said, you can't understand anything!  I've had dreams in which people were speaking entirely in French (when I didn't know French very well) and in German (I took German for a year when I was 13).  Now, was it ACTUAL French and German?  I doubt it--probably just bits and pieces of sentences mixed in with words that sounded French and German.  I certainly didn't know enough of either language to have an actual dream in a foreign language.  Now that I know French much better, I have dreams in French on occasion.  I frequently have dreams in Cebuano.

You should keep a dream diary next to your bed.  If you get into habit of writing down your dreams, I'm sure it will become like second nature.

Hmm, I don't recall I had any video game related dreams. Almost all of them were mixure of boring daily life. LOL
I used to keep a dream diary, but I don't do that now. It seems when I want to write them down, I have dreams quite often, but when I ignore them, I find myself just dreamless.

The only video game dream I ever had (that I remember) was after playing Secret of Mana for the first time. The game play of that is still probably my favorite of any SNES era game (and a good bit beyond). However, of interesting dreamnesses, I've noticed that my dreams are very local-centered. That is, often the location of a dream becomes the focus of a dream. The usual pattern, as far as I can recall, is that a dream will be going along, a location will be passed through, and then I will later return to that location (usually after a seemingly brief absence) and then spend the rest of the dream exploring that location. The oldest instance I can recall was a very pleasant forest, of no particular note except the lovely green light that filtered in from the tops of the trees. Then there was a tunnel/cavern that was navigated entirely by mine cart (usually with the ground nowhere to be seen, so I was zooming around in a cart seeing little but the occasional rocky wall or roof). Curiously, I recently had a dream again of a cavern network, but the former was quite dry and this one was most alive with water that was still carving it out. There have been buildings (houses, quite often, but large expansive houses), the most recent of which was a school (much like my elementary school, but for a university).

Oh, have I got a good one: dreams that come about as a result of what you earlier that previous day/evening.

Case in point? A dream I had last night. I had just gotten done watching the Pixar movie "Cars" (hey, I'm a Pixar fan; can you blame me?), and soon after I went to sleep. My dream was that I went to Disneyland, and I went into one of the gift shops. Standing right there was Owen Wilson (those who have seen the movie will know what I'm talking about). We hit it off and I even introduced some guests to him. I don't remember the rest of the dream, but that to me was weird in its own right. And the day came.

This morning I had two dreams.

One was  about this giant helicopter that dad made. He took mom for a ride on it to its hangar and I followed with the car. Then I whined that I wanted a ride, so dad took me up. I then complained that I wanted to steer it and he said absolutely not. Then I asked if it was easier to steer than a normal helicopter and he said it was because steering it involved one joystick. So I took control of the joystick and suddenly found myself steering it through this small door when my dad was yelling "up up go up!" I did, but it was hard getting it through the door, and I dinked it up... That was the end of that.

The other dream involved these two friends who had these life-like babies. They were dolls that they pretended were their babies and they had "husbands". Both these friends came to visit me, separately, and somehow both of them drowned their babies in a pool. Their husbands had come to look for their babies and found them drowned in the pool. The husbands then freaked out, as if they were real babies and said they wanted a divorce and they had killed their children.  My friends tried to persuade the husbands that they were just dolls, but to no avail. WTF XD;.

I dreamed of Her Majesty the Queen, Elizabeth II. She looked just as she does today, white-haired and wispy, immaculately dressed , complete with one of her usual fancy hats. But she wasn’t just standing around. She was fencing! It was in one of those outdoor fields--possibly the one next to the Kirkland Transit Center--and I was looking on from a nearby road. She was fencing with one of her princesses who doesn’t exist in real life, and was actually holding her own very well! She had the moves…this tiny, very elderly, frail, spotlessly dressed and unblemished monarch was fencing in style, complete with real sword. Oh, and the best part is that my dream control room remembered that she is left-handed, and so she was fencing with that hand.

Man! I've been up till 4 PM in the morning working on a proper model (you have no idea how frustrating Maya is, and yet it'd be unprofessional for me to say this), so my status is almost fucked up here. Still, I managed a good sleep, and had a really weird dream. (Note: No offense to anybody, it was just a dream)

Sometime in the future I just became an author of a bestselling novel and just wanted to call my folks about it. Their phones weren't connecting, so I thought I'd leave a message on their wall. I clicked on Chrono Compendium just to see what happens, and suddenly Ramsus deleted his account with reason, "Can't take this shit, SOB".

I found it strange since I've never seen Ramsus talk like that before, so I investigated. I saw a user logged in but he/she had zero posts. The user had registered last 6 months ago, but had since been active on merely monitoring someone. Monitoring who? I Ramsus then mailed everyone and warned that we may have a hacker on the loose.

And it happened: Most of the Compendium's most influential members, one by one, began deleting their own accounts with strange reasons like, "My wife left me", "I got bald", or even "I've fallen in love with a toothbrush". I had no time to warn everyone, since they were likely offline, so I decided to change my password. It was like I saw behind the codes that fell like in Matrix, a window to the hacker's own mind. I (somehow) was gifted with some hacking knowledge and decided to bypass my way at tracing the hacker, but somehow he launched a virus that infected my bedroom (don't ask how) and all was dark. I kept receiving calls, but every one of them went missed past two rings.  I heard something at the door.

Quickly I withdrew my trusty Beretta 92 (how is that trusty in the first place when I've never purchased it?) and stalked my living room (even though there's no place to hide in my living room; it's friggin small). I went out the door, holding my gun, and surprisingly arrived above an airport. How was this possible? Did he simply teleport my house with a virus? I tried my best to remain out of sight, but little did I know I had a sniper pointing in my direction. And since it was my dream, I knew where the sniper was hiding, and simply shot him. Somehow he survived and lunged at me with a knife. I battled him with Muay Thai, and he fell down the stairs. I rushed through the now visible archway and arrived in a small room, and a TV was on with someone's face smiling.

"Greetings!" Said Dark Serge.

LMFAO! xDDD Actually, when I said that I noticed several members deleting accounts, I was implying at the "mysterious hacker" (aka, DarkSerge) poking fun at the Compendium for vengeance.

Thanks! I'm glad people are amused by my dream.  Funny enough, DarkSerge was way cooler and cunning in that dream, but the real one is lame.

I don't remember exactly what was being said, but I had a dream last night that I was in the back of a station wagon with Patrick Stewart in the driver's seat and Ian McKellen in the front passenger. We'd just been having a bunch of smalltalk, and we were parked outside a lighthouse, nice sunny day at a rocky cliff, and had a bunch of gulls everywhere, or at least from what I could see with my window.

Also, one of them had very, very strong cologne on, and it was overwhelmingly manly.

That would have been Ian McKellen.  He's a badass.

I dreamt a sandstorm yesterday.
Nothing intersting, maybe just because I saw a news.

So you were accepted into the Mutant Academy and didn't get a chance to stay asleep long enough to find out what your powers were? I'm sorry. That's an almost win right there!

Last night I dreamt that you had to get special permission from the government to get tattoos.  Percy Weasley was the one who proposed the bill.  That prat.

Also, a couple nights ago, I dreamt that I was passing through a rave and Sephiroth was there. He was being a total wallflower and looked very uncomfortable. Later on in the dream, I found out that he won a Goth costume contest.

Ima make this brief cuz its close to 3 am n i'm exhausted from livin it real
When i was younger, a player at the age of 16, i had this dream...i cant remember most of it, but it was one of those dreams that sticks witchu for years, naamean? Ima probably take the memory to my grave or still remember it when im old enough to tell it to my grandkids, whatev comes 1st...HaHa

Picture me in a train station, with this atmosphere like the End of Time, but the environment itself is more like Tower of Geddon from Chrono X's dead sea. Yall remember that ghost sitting on a bench? It was just like that, with me sitting on a bench. But it aint like chrono x...first, it wasnt gloomy like the dead sea, it felt way more like the end of time, like everyone at this train station is waitin for existence itself to come to an end. Feel me so far?
2nd, this aint all life-like like chrono x, or most of the dreams i get, its made of 16bit pixels, just like a SNES game...now this is where my mind starts to get hazy and i cant remember shit. I think Magus was there, decked out like The Prophet, wearin that DnD robe over his head, and Sephiroth and Dalton mightve been there too. Hard to say, especially after all these years. But Magus was there fo sho
Also I had Schala sittin by me on the bench, i distinctly remember that. Theres this vibe between us where we's like, real close, maybe as friends, or maybe she beat out all the other bitches to become #1 in this player's heart. Who knows. Details are sketchy...and that's all i can remember, other than seeing weird sights around us, like a glowing lamp on the wall glitching out (remember, this dream looks like a video game...so it be natural to assume it takes place in a video game) Last thing i remember is merging with Schala to become some mutant humanoid wearing a robe, with 4 arms, no face, and the same "glitchy" feeling that the lamp had. I interpret this climactic moment to be the Apocalypse of my dream. And then i woke up, wonderin what the fuck i just went through....

Anyone think they know what it means? Goodnight ChronoCompendium Ill be seein ya players tomorrow....

So I had this strange dream. I WAS BEING CHASED ON SKATEBOARDS. By an Aussie girl. Screaming, "Wot tha hell? Get back here, mate!"

I escaped as much as I could, doing stunts that could make Tony Hawk worship me, but there she was, refusing to give up and gaining on me. I've no idea why she was after me, and I still wonder why I didn't just let myself get caught just to see what happens next. All I remember is that I managed to evade her, then ran into a group of friends dressed up in Cricket outfits. And I woke up. @.@

I had a dream about the Little Mermaid (the Disney version), where apparently the merpeople were a highly advanced society. Ariel was trying to explain genetics to Eric. And then there was a university, and Ariel was upset because all the science and math being taught was all wrong in the human world.

I have no idea how this dream got in my head, heh.

Ugh, I just had a dream my dog was seriously injured (describing the injuries would get vulgar quick, they were very specific) and upon finding out, I flipped my shit and my mom didn't seem to realize the gravity of the situation(read:didn't care at all). When I woke up, I realized dream me pictured the dog my family had when I was younger AS my current pet, they're different sized, color, breed, and personality.wtf

It happens to me that, in my dreams, my dog is usually of a different breed and age (sometimes she's a pup in my dream, and in reality she's 12 years old). I don't know why my mind does that, but it's kind of unsettling  sometimes.

A few nights ago I had this weird dream in which Nikola Tesla (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikola_Tesla) was some kind of mad scientist who performed creepy experiments on living things he had created.  He was showcasing one of his creatures in a red and white tent; it was an eyeless, legless blob (not unlike Jabba the Hutt) who gave birth through its stomach in true Alien fashion.  Only this "baby" slid out more than burst out of its "mother's" stomach.  It resembled a placenta, but it was living and was covered in eyeballs.  The creature then gouged out some of the eyeballs and began eating them.  It then smushed two of them into its empty sockets.

Tesla--being a creepy douche--decided to summon up a demon spirit (whose name was Sejivtt) to possess Frodo Baggins.  The Fellowship (this was before Boromir died, sorry spoilers) got SUPER pissed at Tesla, and Aragorn ordered him to tag along with them so he could help Frodo.  I think his exact words were "You piece of shit!  I don't give a fuck if you invented some stupid coil, you're coming with us and you have to carry ALL of our luggage!"

The only way to save Frodo was to have a benevolent spirit possess him instead--which would drive out Sejivtt.  So the ten of them traveled to the Philippines (because WHY NOT) to an area called the Chocolate Hills (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chocolate_Hills), which looked nothing like the real Chocolate Hills.  It was a barren place, with tall, skinny mountains covered in mist.  They had to light torches on nine of the mountains, and only then would Sejivtt leave Frodo.

/end dream

I described this to D (because I always tell him about my dreams) and he asked me why on earth my dreams are always so fucked-up and weird.  I told him I had no clue.  But I would much rather have weird, creepy dreams than boring ones.

I dreamt I was doing some research on the internet, and accidentally discovered an article in an spanish blog about an obscure Chrono game I never heard about, it was a Marle-centric game, the website had some screenshots, the game looked a lot like that part of Crimson Echoes in which Marle is alone in 1AD. I was super excited for discovering that, I opened the compendium page and was about to post asking about the game, when I noticed that in the left menu of the page, the game was already listed there, I was like "How I never noticed that before???  :| ". Then I went to the mall and talked with an employee of a disc store, surprisingly enough the employee knew about the game too, and told me that they were still selling it.

Sadly I don't remember having played the game in the dream, I guess I woke up a little after that  :P

Aw... Hey Licawolf, next time you go to sleep, make sure to play that game and tell us how it goes!

As for me, I was in some sort of RPG-like thing. Moved to .hack style with infected areas. Then Final Fantasy XIII with the battle style. Mario with the enemies. Entered area past statue of childhood idols to Twilight-y room with others. Looked up. Bat-like Heartless on the ceiling. Used targeting system from Birth By Sleep to take them down. Zombies came in. HS 101 teacher got infected. Battled zombies. Whole building was full of 'em. Fought our way through and ended up in room free of zombies. Boarded the place up, terrified that if we left, zombies would find us and attack.

Later, daytime apparently, I leave to a secret door, watch a rich snooty family move next door, then sneak in with everyone else hidden in the room and talk about the zombie appocolypse and how to stop it before they can get anyone else, for everyone outside the school knows nothing of it.

At least, that was a dream I had half a year ago...

Had a strange dream...

There was a this baby, growing bluish hair. She was apparently my younger sister (that I don't even have). She learned to speak earlier than other babies and was incredibly talented, smarter and superior than me. She was really social, and Alpha'd me in every way. As she grew older, at an early age she beat me in intelligence. And despite all that I loved her and supported her through all her strife.

Coming back to reality, strangely enough, after I was born (and before my brother was) there was another baby Mom was having and the doc said it would be a girl. The baby died in miscarriage.

The other night, I had a... terrifying dream. I dreamt that I had gone back to school (which had morphed into something fancy) for like two classes, then hung out with the teachers in a lounge of sorts. And my awesome math teacher was there, and my creative writing teacher was there. He and I talked, and I learned that he had been laid off. It also turned out that he wasn't divorced, but was a widower. His wife got crushed by a piano that turned into a shitton of woodchips. So my normally absurdly happy creative writing teacher was STILL really happy. He then went home, poured a bunch of potatochips on a huge pile of woodchips (the one that came from the piano that killed his wife), and set it on fire. He then hung himself.

It was absolutely terrifying.

I... see.

Wow.

I had one unsavory dream of my own a little bit ago. It was that our house was being robbed and I ended up having to fight off the burglar, who happened to be armed. I beat the shit out of him bare-handed, making not just a few cheap shots, but it wasn't that "Oh yeah, just kicked some tail!" kinda feeling, it was more like, "OH MY GOD WHAT IS THIS SHIT GET THE FUCK OUT HOLY CRAP!!!" kinda feeling. I ended up punching my bedside lamp.

Last night I dreamt that I was Hermione and Harry and Ron wanted to bury me alive.  For some reason I was okay with this?  They gave me magic shoes that would cause me to fall asleep until I died.  So I put on said shoes, they buried me, and then went on their merry way.  Shortly afterward, Voldemort and Bellatrix came by my "grave" and started to make out and *ahem ahem*.  Voldemort raised me from the dead and instructed me to kill Lupin.  Then he raised Trunks (from DBZ) from the dead and told him likewise.  Also, Bellatrix was part dementor and apparently this was VERY IMPORTANT to the plot of the dream.

Why zombie!Hermione and zombie!Tunks were supposed to murder Lupin and not Harry, I have no idea.

I think I've read Harry Potter too many times.  Nah.  ;]

Yeah... but now that I think about it, four points make this dream an impossibility:

1) The classroom was too big.
2) It was in the condemed building at my school.
3) My Typing teacher was my History Teacher.
4) I went to study at Target.

Oh wow, last night I had this unusual dream...

But unusual for me. As in, most of my dreams are a mix-and-match mesh of a lot of random things so there is never anything constant in them, just chaotic transition from a setting to another every few seconds.

But this last night I actually got a sequential dream that had sense!  :o (Well, as much sense a dream can have anyway.)

But it wasn't that great in the end. Just being in school, but apparently I had shape-shifting powers for no real reason. How weird...

Edit: Oh, I just remembered, but the very moment the teacher said: 'Class is over.' I immediately woke up. Woah, that's some timing there...

So I had this interesting dream four days ago (please don't hit me, I just... I just...).

Before describing the dream, let me point out that my grandfather was a humanitarian, always going out of his way to help people, even if it meant going ruined. This attitude of his, wanting to make the world a better place at the cost of his own expenses sent him through intense poverty and suffering, and taking his future family with him. My mother, born in the same poor family, lived her childhood eating nothing more than two chapatis and tea a day, with no luxuries that her other friends had. She inherited her father's wisdom, but also developed her own belief after witnessing the outcome of selfless philanthropy: never, EVER, go beyond your way to help people, even if they're in need. Family comes first.

Born in a middle-lower class family at least I had it better than mom at her childhood, and was raised with the principles of my mother, but I shared the same sentiments of my grandfather. As I grew older, these principles conflicted within me, rendering me helpless. Which is why I decided that if I want to help people I need to be rich, successful and influential. Thus, my dream.

The Dream

I walked in thick rain with nothing but an umbrella, not knowing where I came from or where I was going. All I knew was that I was getting late and that I needed to go somewhere. Then, out of nowhere, a bunch of ragged children came begging for some money. And I remembered a good friend's advice from long ago:

Don't encourage them. Satisfy them once and they will come again throughout their lives. Let them suffer a while longer and they begin to think.

I ignored them and walked on, but they persistently followed me. Somehow, I got rid of them and was far away, and looking back I saw them trying to follow someone else for a penny. A whirlwind of emotion rose in me and I whistled at them. And they, like hungry puppies, flocked towards me.

"I'm sorry, I don't have money with me right now," I said, "but I do have something even better."

"What's that?" They asked in unison.

"Your future."

I took them... somewhere... and got them some food. I asked them if they'd like to study, like us rich people (because naturally they viewed us as rich), and earn salaries like us. I spoke my wisdom, and encouraged them to work once they got older, explaining how they could earn a thousand times more than what they get following people around. And, because of my pathetic ability to explain anything accurately, they began to see me as a devil asking for their souls.

"He wants to make us do things for him!" One child screamed and ran for his life.

Almost everyone followed him and got as far away from me as possible, except for one child who stayed, unsure what to do. His friends told him that anywhere near me is hell. Then he made up his mind, making it clear that his life already was hell. He was eager to learn. He was eager to see the world. And I took it upon myself to help him.

I took him to the Cafe where I worked, but my boss was unwilling to teach him anything. I went to a  government school, but they wouldn't take him unless his parents were with him. I took him home, but my mother refused to feed him. I went to his parents, who were teaching their kids to panhandle for them, and they refused to believe in education. I seemed to be the only lifeline the poor boy had.

But progress did happen, though I did not know how. All passed in a blur. The boy grew older, being criticized by his peers. But he showed them with his talents. He was on a quest to conquer the world.

And I wake up.

Look. It's a thread zombie.

So for some reason I get these... weird spam messages on my AIM, right? It's basically some annoying thing saying that she's super bored, and she's gonna go do sexy things now. And I gotta go to this site if I want to watch, and they gotta have my credit card number so that they know I'm 18+. No matter WHAT I say to it, it's always the same spiel. And it's always a different one, too.

That's just some background information.

Last night, I dreamt I was working at some big store, like a wholesale store or something. Certainly looked like the one we have here. Anyway, somehow I ran into the lady who MAKES these spambots, and is in all actuality a real life whorehookerladything. And she was like 'Ooh I have boobies' and meanwhile I'm trying to make any sense of this and keep my job, so I'm like 'LADY. LADY LOOK. IM GAY. I LIKE MAN PARTS. GET YOUR BOSOMS OUT OF MY FACE.' With a huff, I went back to my desk to find that the class president had stolen my purse. Or at least she had a purse that I thought was mine. And then the lady followed me and was like... barely contained, you know? And then the world kind of looked like one of my drawings. All the lines were super scratchy and the colors all bright and freaky.

And then I woke up.

I think dreams have some sort of... meaning to them, you know? There must be a reason why I very loudly proclaimed to the store (which was somehow full of my classmates) that I was gay. There must be a reason why I thought that the very ridiculously pink purse the class president had was mine. I kind of don't want to think about it right now, though. I want some food.

Last night Lady Gaga told me she wanted to date me, via my SoY thread.  I was still at boarding school, so she visited and presented me with this humongous book that she had written in my honour.  But then she started coming on too strong, and so I quietly tried to sneak away, through this labyrinthine basement filled with PlayStation consoles and games.  She finally caught up with me, and I ran, but not before accidentally back-handing Harle.

The dream was really quite long, but I had to heavily censor it on here haha.  It was verrrrry much NSFW.

But essentially...

The Compendium?  Check.
Lady Gaga?  Check.
Gratuitous amounts of sexual tension?  Check.
Lesbianism?  Check.
Chrono Cross?  Check.

Cool beans.

I had quite an interesting dream I wanted to share. While this dream was massive and related a lot to my normal, real life, I also had a few... erm... "scenes" taking place with our beloved Chrono Compendium. Keep in mind that my dreams are rarely verbal and are usually communicated with emotions. Perhaps it's because of the boundless insanity that resides in my head, but this world I had visions of was one that appealed to me most. So let's just call it...

Tushant-In Wonderland (harr hurr hurr)

Disclaimer: This was just a weird dream I had, and I'm retelling this as honestly as I can remember because of its sheer entertaining quality. The dream itself was insane, and I thought everybody would love to enjoy reading it. I do not intend to hurt or offend anyone, so take this simply as a fictional joke.

So there I was, in the middle of my dream, trying to escape Mr Corrupt Politician (his first name was "Corrupt"), riding on a Godzilla Limousine and ordering his crew to capture every righteous person on the loose. Saved by the skin of my teeth, I evaded their flamethrower by cartwheeling into a mysterious bush but fell into a hole. By the time I hit ground I saw before me a streak of light, and besides me was an arrow pointing towards it, "escape this way". Right before I entered the blinding doorway, I heard a call. I thought it was a Cheshire Cat.

And it was... FaustWolf appearing on a tree branch. Despite his awesome name "Faust" and "Wolf" written on his collar, one would expect him to be a Demon-Wolf-Who-Invoked-Mephistopheles-To-Grant-Him-Superpowers. Instead, FaustWolf was actually a talking puppy:

"Wait, Tushantin!" FW cautioned with his puppy-dog eyes. "There be monsters in there!"

"What kind of monsters?" I asked.

"Insane! If you wish to go inside, then take a look at this article I found on Google Books. Now wear that article as a turban."

And with that, we opened the shiny door and stepped into Wonderland. The first thing I saw was Bard_of_Time playing by the flowers. He looked like a Chibi teddy bear in RD Serge's outfit, with his glassy eyes and adorable wide smile admiring anything and everything around him, while he chased butterflies like a baby. Then soon enough, Boo approached -- a black, adorable baby boogie-monster who often gets cuddled by any pedestrian -- serenading his wife and playing with six little boogie-babies who proceeded to play with Bard_of_Time.

"Let's boogieh!" Boo, The Boogie-Man Caller, announced.

"Aww, how can such an adorable place be insane?" I asked.

"I know you're used to hard life, Tushantin," Faust said, wagging his tail. "What with dodging flamethrowers and fist-fighting gorillas! But I thought I'd offer a better perspective: This place is... strange. You can go wherever you want, do whatever you do, but you'll meet some bouts here and there. And the cliff. Do not approach that cliff!"

"Why not?"

FaustWolf then pointed towards the cliff; there stood a shirtless Akuma with a "Z" scratched on his chest, his eyes staring into the sunset, while he stood motionless. Before I could ask what would happen if I approached, a fly zipped towards the guy and sat on his nose. He scratched the nose. The fly flew. And he obliterated the fly with Kamehameha. And I froze in horror.

"That's ZeaLitY," FaustWolf said. "He likes to stare into the fire. And dream. Nothing dares to stop him from dreaming."

After that, we walked around the bit and took in the environs. At a nearby tree sat a man: Lord J Esq, reading to his heart's content. Reading. A freakin dictionary. That was until an RL friend of mine, Hussain, came up to him and poked fun at him.

"What is this?" Hussain said ridiculously. "This is boring! Where are the pictures in this book?"

Josh, ever so calm, simply walked over to Napoleon and sat to play chess with him. Just as he was about to make his move, another friend of mine appeared before him (this time, Amol), who kept nagging at him again. Poor guy just couldn't catch a break.

"What sort of a game is this? Don't you know soccer? Hey, you chose White! Are you racist? Holy shit, you just --"

Before the weirdos caused any more trouble, I grabbed Amol and Hussain by the ear and took them away, asking them to shut up. What's worse is that Amol actually charged me to keep his mouth off! While turning away I caught a glimpse of MrBekkler, wearing a smiley mask and hat, chasing Yogi Bear around for stealing his sandwich. Just beyond the view I saw...

...perhaps the sweetest of the characters in Wonderland: RushingWind. She walked around, always smiling, but her hair seemed to fall off and regrow (in different colors and style) every 15 minutes. She said it was convenient this way since she could try new hair-dos quickly; and she looked great in every one of those. We sat under a tree and I asked stuff about her, and she proceeded into a huge monologue about where she came from, where her house came from, where all the creatures came from, where the world came from, how the universe began, what's the secret of life, why is the sky blue, etc. While I listened thoughtfully at her, a TARDIS crashed just besides us. My attention wavered, but RW seemed to have a lot more to say. The TARDIS door was kicked open by a man inside -- none other than Thought wearing David Tennent's geek glasses -- who ran all the way across to us screaming, "Make way! Time Lord coming through!" and he picked RushingWind up in his arms and rushed back in his TARDIS. "SHE KNOWS TOO MUCH!"

I blinked, trying to comprehend what just happened. Then FaustWolf put a small TV on where Thought Doctor and his companion RushingWind were engaged in a final battle against the Time Lord's arch-enemy -- The Land Lord! Apparently, Sajainta and her boyfriend Dee enjoyed the show (not knowing it was a real deal), as they sat on the sofa with a popcorn.

"Look!" Saj pointed at the TV. "The Daleks are pointing a giant laser on earth!"

I saw up at the sky. A giant laser was being pointed at us. Holy shit!

"Holy sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeiiiiiii--" Shee, the comedian chicken, stood besides me and exclaimed his unending surprise.

Before I could run anywhere, I saw one of my ex-girlfriends talking to Syna. I gulped, thinking what to do, then looked at FaustWolf for help. Unfortunately, Faust the puppy was locked into a staring contest with Alfadorredux, the purple cat.

I decided to take matters into my own hands and ran for the girls, grabbed Syna's hand and implored her to come with me. She asked me what was so urgent, I told her I'd tell her when we get there. We ran to the library, I left her in there, then I ran back to my ex-girlfriend, and faced her. She smiled smugly at me. Instead of returning the smile, I tied her to balloon and set her off towards the sky. Suddenly, her voices crackled like a demon's and she began shooting fire bolts towards me. I ran for my life, towards the library and fell to the floor, exhausted. Syna then looked at me in disbelief and poked me with a stick, awaiting my explanation. I explained that I was still inflicted by the curse of the League of Evil Exes.

"Oh, dear!" Syna exclaimed. "I honestly think you ought to wear this Kilt for spell preservation. Shush! Just wear it. Now wear this robe -- yes, the clown robe -- then take the scissors and cut of one of your sleeves. Stick that pencil up your nose. Okay, now take this article and wear it like a hat."

"What!" I protested. "You too?!"

"Shush! Okay, almost there," then with a little patience, she drew on my face with a permanent marker. "There we go! Now, quick, jump off that cliff!"

"...b-but..."

She batted her eyes cutely, hoping I'd agree. Feeling forced, I gulped and ran for the cliff. I had no idea how a cliff existed in a goddamned library, but it was there! Clear as day! Reaching the cliff, I saw another cliff below a cliff (Cliffception) where ZeaLitY stood, dreaming into the sun. I looked back at Syna, and asked if she was sure about this.

"I dunno!" She called back, but gave me a thumbs up.

I took a gulp and decided to jump, but bloody Yogi Bear pushed me so hard I fell into the ocean. I woke up to find myself sailing with the famous Captain Nemo, and FaustWolf seemed to have saved me from drowning. On our voyage, we saw many things, and battled many enemies. I even succeeded in defeating the entire League of Evil Ex-Girlfriends-And-Their-Current-Boyfriends (Syna's spells worked!). The dream was long, but when we reached the beach, FaustWolf bought me dog biscuit... and I cried. He thought I was being home-sick (I was actually crying about the horrible luck I keep having), and he said:

"Tushantin, out here anything goes. But even you are aware that there's no place like home."

"Oh, hell yes, there is!" Someone called.

It was my cousin -- my Australian cousin -- who stopped by in his beach outfit and sunglasses, and handed me and FaustWolf tickets to Australia before saluting and surfing back into the sunset.

While the dream was actually longer than this, I only made an effort to portray characters and circumstances that the Compendium can relate to. There are two things I learned from this dream:

1) Love hurts.
2) I WANNA GO BACK IN THERE!

I need to actually get around to watching Dr. Who. I don't know if getting kidnapped by the Doctor is a good or bad thing!

Also: Monologues are something of a given with me, so you're dream was dead on. :) I'm quiet for the first few times I'm hanging out with someone (little bit of shyness, I guess), then anything and everything becomes fair game (especially concerning stuff like where the universe came from). ^_^

I can't be 100% precise about the time (after all, this was a while ago), but I know I didn't have a heck of a lot of time to spend on it. I think I started by outlining in Inkscape, then took it into the GIMP for shading. (I also chose the slice of the cat's face I was going to tackle with some amount of care--if I'd included the mouth and chin, it would have been a lot harder to get right.) I definitely did use a mouse, though, since I didn't buy my tablet until about a year ago, and I've been on here longer than that.

Hah, how about we have one on a cup of coffee?  8)

I enjoyed my cameo.
Ah, I forgot to mention that you were actually "undercover" and appeared more in "real-life land" than "Wonderland", and were stalking in the shadows, collecting evidence against Mr Corrupt. The reason I was being chased by the guy was because you jumped off the building and escaped in a helicopter, leaving me the soul witness of crime committed by "The Bicycles".

Interesting dreams you have there Tushantin. Reminds me how in my dream world I can blend in 2D animated characters and games into the real world without a problem. I can have my own Pokemon, Zelda, or whatever type of adventure my dreams desire! I had this really weird dream the other night. It was a road trip and I remember how it began.  While I haven't seen a single friend of mine in 2 years ( 2009 graduate High School, don't worry I'll see them again ) they tend to pop in dreams no matter what. Especially this one person who I adored all my life.

Anyways, cut to the chase, the road trip was like transcending time and space and I had a slight deja vu over this one area where I've been too before in my dream. I could paint it. Perhaps my dreams are an inspiration telling me to paint or illustrate my dreams. I swear, each time I'm in a familiar location, I'm like I've been here before. It's like my dream has a world of its own! More like, a central hub! Reminds me of Little Nemo's dream adventure. speaking of which, that princess reminded me of Marle.

Okay, the dream, I saw various plains, valleys, lakes and mountains. I remembered it. I was traveling with friends who I've know. I don't know where I was going, but wherever it was, it was someplace up in the northern states. I adore the mountains coming up from Georgia and lakes ( like Lake Erie ) from New York. And then I remember this city. It was so exotic and thrilling. Something out of Megaman or Zelda or some other RPG!  Anyways, have you ever had a feeling that it hurts even more in your dreams? Well, in the last part of the dream, the person next to me said "This will be the last time I use this" and suddenly puts it on my eyes and I wake up. It was weird. It was like I was in another world and the person in my dream made awaken for a new dawn.

Ooh, psychedelic! If you plan on paintin', then paint it. Else I'm gonna! :grimm

Yeah. That pain itself is kinda indescribable, unfortunately. I had one telling me how I could die. It wasn't the most horrible death, but it certainly was the most terrifying one.

I don't always have nightmares, but when I do they're usually bat-shit insane. If I ever meet a kid named Billy Barber, and especially when in my workplace, take it from me that my life is haunted.

The Curious Case of Billy Barber -- The Boy Destined To Die

It all started I friggin don't know when, as my dream commenced weirdly and normally as ever. All I can remember of the beginning was that I was talking to a banana, and later was found courting the Moon Goddess, and somehow I returned to my mundane life of working at the Cafe. Both the Cafe and my home seemed different, as if this time I owned them, and I seemed to be situated at Glasgow, Scotland, where Harry lived. While constantly assisting and welcoming customers, I chanced upon this kid in beaver brown shirt who demanded service and I asked for his identification (it's a necessity, with all the terrorists walking around in plain clothes -- the law's actually implemented here in India, to have the civilians' identifications checked before offering service). The boy was Billy Barker, and he wanted to play games. I asked where his mother was, refusing to permit him without a parent, but he claimed that it was his mother who gave him the money and wouldn't return till nightfall. I didn't offer him services until his parent was available, but the boy simply stood there for hours, waiting for the mother to return. To help his boredom, I gave him an exception and let him in to entertain himself. But the kid was youthful and ignorant, and allowed himself to be swayed by his pleasures than keep an account of time and money. Eventually he ended up owing me far more than he already had. I told him that the Cafe policy does not accept credits, and that he’d need to stay until his mother returned. The boy panicked, and pleaded me not to tell his mother and that he’d get me more money immediately. In RL I’d usually be strict with undisciplined kids, but this time I decided to cut him some slack. So off he went to get the money. Little did I know that was the last time I’d see him.

So I returned to my employment at the Cafe until a few minutes later a mother came looking for her son. At first she seemed confused, pondering where her son must have run off, and I told her that he was here a moment ago. She screamed at me for being irresponsible, first yelling at me for allowing a child without a parent, and then for letting the child go off like that. And I told her coldly:

“Madam, with all due respect, what you or your children are up to is none of our concern. If you let him loose into streets, resulting him getting into bad company, then you are entirely responsible for it. I hope you find the child soon.”

She left, but a couple of hours later she returned asking for her son, this time hysterically weeping. She seemed to be under the notion that I killed him or kidnapped him. But why would I do that? I asked her to go home and rest while the authorities look for him, but she grabbed a broom to straight out murder me, until finally being restrained by constables accompanying her. They interrogated me, and I told them all I knew.

A few days later she returned, alone this time. Yet again she seemed convinced that it was I who was keeping Billy away from her, and she threatened to sue me or destroy my life.

On the fourth day -- four is such an unlucky and ugly number -- I saw the news in the morning paper. Apparently I was confirmed to be the kidnapper of Billy Barber and my cellphone, my passport, my identification, and some other stuff has been “seized” by the law as evidence against me.

“Arrests will be made shortly,” the radio echoed.

“This is babble!” I screamed. “All of it!”

I decided to grab my coat, hat and wallet, and take a cab to give the mad woman a piece of my mind (yes, even when “angry” you’re supposed to look your best). But as I turned the knob of my bedroom and stepped out onto the living room, there she was mourning (and singing, apparently) on my sofa and caressing the hair of a child who slept on her lap. It was Billy Barber in Byzantium colored attire. The situation grew bizarre and confusing, and I couldn’t tell what from what. But my anger only grew.

“Ah, so you’ve found your pup!” I remarked coldly. “Look, woman, I’ve told you once --”

But when she looked at me, unblinking and teary, there was the mark of hollowness in her soul. At once I felt something was strange, and I glanced back at the boy she caressed. The boy had his chest flat and unmoving, his face was pale, and his muscles did not tense. He wasn’t asleep. He was dead!

“What...” I mumbled in disbelief. “Where did you find the boy?”

But the woman hesitated. She refrained from speaking a word. I looked through my drawers to find my medical gloves and put them on.

“Ma’am, if there’s any crucial info you’re leaving out, please tell me. I can help.”

Still no response, but she gave me the look of poison unlike any other. With my gloves on, I proceeded to examine the body, but she slapped my hand away.

“You still won’t trust me?”

“You’re a monster!” She cried. “You killed my son in cold blood! Maybe for money, maybe for something else, but you killed the poor child when he came to you!”

I sighed, and rummaged through my drawers for surveillance records, and switched them on.

“Madam, I was not involved with your son’s demise. I understand it is a hard time for you, but it doesn’t make sense to blame someone outright to satisfy your vengeance. Take a look at the time period at the surveillance records. Your boy left the Cafe on his own free will, while I remained until you appeared mere ten minutes later. How would I commit such a crime in these circumstances? But I can try to help you find who really did it.”

I gestured her respectfully to allow me to examine a body, and this time I met no Resistance.

“Now this is strange,” I stated. “There is no detectable injury on the boy. No sign of struggle, nor any of suffocation and external pressure, as if the boy merely lay on the floor and simple waited. His attire is soaked and,” I noticed something interesting there, but decided to keep that bit of info to myself, and told her the rest. “...And drenched in mud. But no sign of being buried. No, he was in a box of some kind.”

I turned to the woman. “Madam, please tell me where you found him. Every information is crucial.”

“In..” She mumbled. “...In a... garden.”

“What garden?”

“The... your garden behind the living room. In a coffin. I dug him out from your garden.”

A lightning crackled somewhere, and there struck a momentary pause. My garden? It was impossible and outrageous. Also, I had a feeling she was hiding something.

“The Byzantium clothing the boy wears,” I inquired. “Did you buy it for him?”

She nodded.

“Madam, there’s something you’re not telling me,” I wagered. “When the boy left the Cafe he wore a Beaver colored shirt, but now has an entirely different kind of clothing that actually comes from your household. Please tell me, so I can help you, and I promise whoever did this will pay dearly.”

“And since when did you care?” She screamed hysterically. “This is none of your concern, you told me, but now that your petty life hangs in turmoil you want to help! You’re a monster... You had my boy’s corpse decaying in your backyard, so clearly you have no escape. And yes, I promise, you will pay dearly.”

After the mother and the child left, I ran to the garden to investigate. How would a coffin turn up in my backyard? Did someone break in while I was away? I searched through the light drizzle of rain, but found no signs of digging. None at all. No pools of water either, as if the land’s creases were ironed out. There was no sign of coffin to begin with!

The plot thickens: The boy who died, and the mother who lied. Mystery deepened, and I was caught at the center of the web woven by someone sinister. Whistles and sirens of the local police echoed at the distance, coming to arrest me. Perhaps I could escape while I could and investigate into the matter to prove my own innocence, but in case I got caught I needed a back up plan. There was only one man who could help me, only one shining ray of hope in this whole God-forsaken planet. I ran back into my apartment and grabbed a courier envelope and a pen, and jotted down the address:

“To, Sherlock Holmes,
221B Baker Street,
London.”

I was running down a long hallway when a can of Budweiser beer flew at me from nowhere. There was a tear in the metal and it was going to go to waste. So I drank half of it. Every swallow took me higher and higher. I could literally feel myself getting lighter-headed in spurts.

Now I was in a dining room with a long table. I tried to take a step, but on this half-beer I was roaring drunk and staggered and fell chin-first all the way across the table, taking the plates and linen with me as I tumbled onto the floor. I found that about the funniest thing in the world and started laughing wildly.

Then I was arguing with Thought about which (English-speaking) college students prefer their Spanish classes to be taught only in the Spanish language, and which prefer them to be a taught with a mixture of Spanish and English.

I've never been drunk in my life but I'm pretty sure that's near-exactly how it would go. Except for the Bud; I would never drink that bilge. Guinness, yo!

I'm not much of a drinker myself at all, but the one time I've had beer/ale/stout that I actually kind of liked was with a bottle of Fat Tire. Not bad, mate.

As for myself, I had a dream last night that I was a pirate, and everyone else on the ship got kinda pissy with me because I wouldn't get drunk with the rest of them, but apart from that, it was just... a bunch of pirate stuff. Loot, raid, plunder, and nab a few wenches if I had the time. All in all, a pretty good dream, if I must say so myself.

Aaand an incredibly real nightmare where I was bitten on the hand by a spider, but all the pharmacies were closed because it was midnight, so I couldn't get an antidote till morning...people kept telling me my hand would fall off and I was freaking out!

And suddenly I was like, "Wait, what if this is a dream? Then I could wake up, and not have a spider bite! Hng!" *wakes up and checks hand* "Whew..." *falls asleep again*

Man I had a restless night, though...

I woke up early this morning due to a dream I was having. It's not so much that the dream was interesting--in fact, I don't remember most of it; however, in the midst of a conversation with some people around me, one of them interrupted the sequence to inform me, "Hey, your arm is asleep." I immediately woke up, and sure enough, it was. Asleep from above the elbow, even, so I could only move it using my shoulder.
It has to be one of the more surreal things to happen to me in a dream, and that's saying something!

It's 7 in the morn. Couldn't sleep more than an hour. Before I hit the gym to get my mind off her, and break into a run to bask in morning air and sun, I'd like to post this here:

For that one hour I did sleep, I had a dream where I went on a date with her. An amusement park: it was quite amusing in an ironic way.

We decided to paint the town red, but ran out of red paint. Then we went ahead to a poetry drama... which was sung by LOLcats. I invited her to a Salsa, but she seemed to shy. I mentioned, "Come on; when you dance, the whole world dances with you." She danced. And apparently the whole club wanted to dance with her. We got uncomfortable and decided to get the hell outta there, but there were people following us (mostly me) with pitchforks and fire.

We escaped into the Haunted House which, ironically, was actually Haunted. By Gummi Bears. Don't ask why. Though the ghosts were real, our skepticism ("Do Ghosts even exist?") outraged them. Then I made a big show to the girl that I could be incredibly romantic, by playing a flute. I was horrible at it. Then she played a guitar. And she won, both the round and my heart.

Then she complained that she hadn't been on a boat yet. We found one, got in, then realized that we needed to buy tickets before getting in. However, the authority mentioned it was free. Free, because the ride was cancelled; it was merely helping passengers get back to the docks. And the boat sank! For 5 whole seconds, and was back again. By the time we got back out, me and her looked disheveled. And we laughed at each other.

Then we had the liberty of telling each other what look would fit on each other, but when I suggested something she called me a sexist (okay, she wants me to wear pink ribbons in my hair, that's cool, but me asking her to keep long hair is sexist?). I had the liberty to feed her dessert with my own hands, and she had the liberty to choke me with a gigantic sandwich which was meant to eat me alive.

And I woke up.

...

May sound weird, but... these are the times I wish I had nightmares. When dreams become so adorable, especially when you want these thoughts to leave you alone, you'd often want to kill yourself.

So last night...
Let's see. I was in High School again, but it was as if DigiPen was High School--or rather, as if myself and my DigiFriends were in the same High School. Something like that. Red was there, and that's what matters.
Oh and I was Nia Teppelin.

This is Nia Teppelin, for those of you who haven't watched Gurren Lagann.

And our class wanted to take a trip to some faraway Pacific Island. I don't know which one. So my dad, Lordgenome, the Spiral King, paid for our entire trip, meals and lodging included, for the entire class! Except I had to have bodyguards... >n<
We took this little charter plane and landed on the beach (sure, why not), where there was some strange seismic activity going on. Really weird waves.
Not important. Anyway, any time I would lag even a bit behind the group, the bodyguards would hurry me along. But--Red and I decided that we needed to go back for a parasol or we'd both get sunburned, so we ran back to the car (there was a rental limousine or something on the beach too...) and grabbed this blue parasol before getting caught by more bodyguards and escorted back to the group. "Dad, stop being so overprotective!" ...is definitely what I was thinking.
We were going to go eat at an Italian place, but I woke up before we could get there.

But...I was Nia. And it was cool! I had a bunch of fluffy hair and a different voice and best of all, Red was there~<3

I'm probably just excited about my in-progress Nia cosplay and the fact that I'm going to get the wig for it fixed soon (have the colors blended and have it thinned just a bit if needed).

The Tenth Doctor and River Song got married and decided to permanently live in late 18th century Paris.  They had three children--two girls and a boy.  And then the French Revolution happened and they freaked out and had to leave, so they went into the TARDIS and traveled to a galaxy where people orbited around a star instead of planets.  Around the people orbited moons, and the Doctor and his family went to settle on one of these moons.  They found a colony of miners who had been there for a year and 9 months.  Orbiting around the moon were these bones which, if coming into contact with another bone, would quickly multiply.  The miners assured the Doctor that there wasn't anything to worry about--in all of their years of mining none of the bones had touched.

While the miners were inside of a log cabin they had constructed, two of the bones crashed into each other--creating a reaction of growing bones that started to cover the entire planet.  The miners tried to keep the bones out of the cabin, but the bones pushed through and eventually crushed the miners to death.  The Doctor and his family escaped just in time.

The TARDIS was broken and could only return to France, so they had no choice but to go back.  They crash-landed in the middle of the Tennis Court Oath, and were surprised to find that everyone was having a sleepover.  Two members of the Third Estate were arguing about who was going to clean up the birthday cake.  Another person loudly exclaimed that they wanted to watch Varsity Blues.

Okay, another pirate dream. In this one, I was part of a crew that was shipping an entire boatload of nothing but cheese. At one point, a rival group of pirates took it, and, through a series of wacky events, it came down to a few crew members of each ship chasing the last wheel of cheese down a steep, gravelly hill that had a cliff at the face.

Forgot how it ended, but I confused the Hell out of everyone when they came to wake me up.

So after many nights of my usual dreams, I finally got one of those rare ones that have an overall theme for start to finish.

It was me during Mission 15 of Ace Combat Zero. Except instead of playing it, I was actually there, on an aircraft, but keeping the game's 1st-person view but that didn't fooled me.

Well, my dream decided to give it a unique spin. Usually the mission itself doesn't have that many enemies, but my dream decided to add like over 20 friendlies and enemies more to it and turn it into a full-blown battle. And most amusingly, I was flying in an F-5E. That's like the starting aircraft, why would I be flying in it this far into the game? Eh, I'll never know.

The only truly weird thing was, there were some Star Fox elements mixed in too. Mostly just those rings that would heal you when flown through (working with AC's damage meter, not an actual ST style health bar).

My dream lasted only so far. I downed two enemy aircraft with missiles and was chasing down a third with the machine gun, but then it shook me off and my dream ended around there.

So yeah, the morale is... I've been playing too much Ace Combat lately. Still no idea why those Star Fox rings were there though, maybe since both series are kinda related...? :?

...or it's a hidden plot! The only way you can find out if you replay that New Dream+. Go back to sleep!  :D

I'd wish!

Unfortunately my dreams even more rarely have follow-ups or allusions to previous ones. Though rarely as well, (when it comes to dreams, anything that could make sense seems to be rare for me for some reason  :?) some will give me the feeling that I have already dream them before, or just a sense of familiarity not related to what exactly I'm dreaming of, though almost all of them turn out to not be that case.

It wasn't technically a dream, since I was awake, but I had an interesting sensation when I woke up last night.
It was around 4:15am, and after waking up, everything I touched (bed, desk, my arms and face) felt as sharp as a knife, as if pressing any harder would draw blood.
Very strange!

Dreamed another Chrono game was announced... It looked a bit like Chrono Cross in style (colorful, tropical). The logo was equally vibrant. It was just a few screenshots but there wasn't any gameplay footage yet.

And it was good.

Dreamt a seemingly grewsome dream about human sacrifice, gizzard removed like a turkey and a speaking mouth inside the abdominal cavity of the victim. But I don't recall any abnormal emotions during the dream and slept well that night.

I think that was because I read The Dreams in the Witch House (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dreams_in_the_Witch_House) and view a funny sketch of Nyarlathotep (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nyarlathotep), which had a mouth on the stomach.

Lovecraft love.  <3 <3 <3

I always pronounce "Nyarlathotep" in my head as "Nyar-leo-thotep" and I don't know why.  But in my head I also pronounce "accio" as "assio", so there you go.

so my dream consisted of a bad 'Cyrus' rip off where I had a shot with an older woman but her kids didn't like me. however, the interesting part is as I was walking around trying to lose someone, taking turns twice etc, I see
jerry seinfeld
talking on his cell. that's right, jerry made a cameo in my movie dream, beat dat.  he said I look like someone, can't recall who, but I remember feeling insulted. he apparently could see the expression on my face and quickly apologized saying, 'no I meant it in a good way' or something to that effect. it was at that point that my chaser came round the corner and I simply asked why are you chasing me. he couldn't give much of an answer, and I could clearly see he was wanting to be a jerkarse so before you could run his mouth much, I simply 'talk to the hand'-ed him and said I'm trying to talk to
jerry seinfeld
do not interrupt me. I don't remember what all went down after that other than coming home (which was a blend of my current home and the one just before) since we are moving in a couple weeks, so I had a nice isolated space with a vending machine and everything :/ and I only had 20 mg of choline yesterday! must be the new schedule: go to bed at 10, wake up around 2, do whatever (such as meditate or write) for about an hour, go back to sleep til 6. takes 8 hours but you still get 7 hours of sleep. makes it to where I don't have to 'work on shit' during the day and my focus can go to the task at hand rather than contemplating the nature of the universe or attempting to seek out and remove all jerkarse tendencies from my behavior.

I was in a country that existed as a large city in the clouds, where people could shapeshift at will after storing up enough energy, and where dreams were used as a way to augment reality...somehow.
I was a guard in the castle's throne room, when the doors suddenly open, and a tiny girl with pink hair who is obviously exhausted runs in and tries to tell the king something before passing out. They capture her, but then discover that her brain is infested with memory particles, which are little parasites that hang out in certain memories, and when a person thinks of that memory, or thoughts close to it, they absorb some energy from the person. They'd infested the memories of what she wanted to tell the king, and so she'd drained all her energy dwelling on it before showing up, since she didn't know better. So I was looking in while doctors did "dream surgery" to remove them. They suggested she might have short-term amnesia regarding the infested areas, but that it her memory would return in full in time.

Also it was a cool place and the atmosphere was..bubbly and sparkly...it was neat.

The dream was so awaking. I Took a bus to an old area of my city, near the seaside. I took some photos of the sundown, replied a phone call from my father. In the late part of the dream, I seemed lost in a building. It was already night, electric lights were on. I think the building was not far from the seaside, there was a yard with plants and a lawn. Nothing unusual happened though.

In the entire dream I didn't have companies, but there were surely many people around like a normal city. I enjoyed the lone feeling in the dream. For many times I dreamt about the places where I used to live, some relatively old parts of the city. When I was a child, I often walked aimlessly, exploring the alleys and searching for insects under the bricks. For some reason, the feeling was similar in dreams.

I visited Neptune with the Ponds, River Song, and all eleven Doctors.  For some reason all the Doctors were hating on Four and there was massive drama.  He stomped back into the TARDIS and said "You're all pansies."

Sometimes I love my brain.

( but she did look cute )

Sexuality is a part of us innately. Stems from the instinctual desire to mate, I guess. It only makes sense to permeate our dreams on occasion. :)

Sometimes it is obscue and vague. I recall I had a dream years ago about a man with a gas mask crawling in a tunnel (on top of a maya pyramid maybe), the gass mask had an unusual long canister. In dream I immediately realized what did that mean.

---------------------------------

One of the most impressive dreams I had was inspired by a murder case. In that dream I talked with a friend who was at that time in City N. We were in a kindergarten (old places usually appeared in my dream so it was just common). Suddenly some small paper sheet slipped out from his pocket. (The paper sheet was as big as a ticket.) I picked it up and found there was a girl's name written on it. He was a bit angry about that and took the paper back immediately. Not sure about the later part of the dream, I only remember he said he had to return to that city soon.

Before the dream I heard a murder case. The police found a gir's corpse in a rental room in City N. The case was solved quickly because they found a train ticket in the victim's pocket, on which the murderer's phone number was written. Sadly, the police found her parents had been killed in another place by the same murderers. The victims was some sort of relatives of my family. The murderers were their friends. They cheated the parents that they found a studying abroad chance in Singapore for their daughter. I recall father once warned the parents that things might not be as simple as they expected, but they just too overtrusted their 'friends'. Stupid murderers, stupider victims.

Motha. Fuggin'. Warning: This topic has not been posted in for at least 120 days THREAD NECROMANCY.

So I've been suffering from a minor case of insomnia the past two years or so. Nothing awful, but I average about 4 hours of sleep a night or so. Sooner or later it's going to bite me. I'm too afraid to get on some sort of sleep aide and have tried a multitude of remedies: running to tucker myself out, not using electronics for an insane amount of time before bed, various herbal/food remedies, the works.

Regardless, I still have dreams. I often like to write them down and use them for creative inspirations.

Last night's dream was a doozy. This dream was REALLY fascinating in that it was entirely third person and I wasn't a participant in the dream; it was like I was watching the story unfold as a casual observer, like I was watching it on a television screen. It was also strange that it had a clear resolution, although by the time the dream was winding down the story sort of got choppy and discombobulated and almost "blurry" as it seemingly rushed to a conclusion. Maybe due to a shift in a sleep cycle?

Regardless, I've been on a Studio Ghibli kick recently, although I haven't watched Princess Mononoke in probably four or five years. This dream definitely felt inspired by the move to some degree, so of course now I HAVE to watch it (it's also the only Studio Ghibli film I won't let my six year old watch just yet).

* * * * * *

A large human village in a deep forest. A shadow creature attacks, many people running off into the forest to escape. A small group of people end up stumbling upon a strange, mysterious forest meadow.

It is roughly one hundred feet by one hundred feet. A perfect circle. Soft grass, the only decorations or landmarks several cairn stones, of one which is larger than the others (at about 8 feet in height).

A forest spirit – a strange woman of light – comes to the survivors and explains that the shadow creature is the Change Bringer, an agent of order who has come to the forest to bring change, namely, the expulsion (death) of all humans within the forest. The humans had become selfish and no longer respected the forest, and as such the humans are being hunted. The spirit explains that the Change Bringer will remain in the forest for quite some time – weeks, perhaps months, and that the group cannot leave the circle or else they will be killed by the shadow creature. Because the shadow creature is one of shadow, as long as they are in the light it cannot detect them – it can only detect them if they come into contact with the shadows of the treeline, the shadows of the forest.

The group is thus trapped and has to make ends meet. No food, no shelter. It is partially a dream akin to a survival story as they try to adapt.

Eventually, they notice as wolves surround the meadow, and spend several days/nights “checking out” the group. The group is fearful, unsure what to do should the wolves attack. Eventually, however, a large dire wolf enters the clearing – it is larger than a normal wolf, its tail long and flowing, and it wears a strange mask. It is the leader of the wolves of the forest, and it approaches one of the men of the group and offers him a dead rabbit. More wolves start doing the same, including one that has a broken paw.

We then learn that the man was a hunter and found a wolf trapped in a bear trap. The wolf was emaciated, dying, so the hunter freed the wolf and gave it both food and water to help it regain its strength. In return for this kind deed, the wolves of the forest have all agreed to help the hunter and his friends by bringing them food – namely, small game.

Eventually one member of the group decides to leave the meadow and is ultimately killed by the Change Bringer.

In the climax, the group learns that the kindly forest spirit and the Change Bringer are actually one in the same, two sides of the same coin. They are able to escape the wrath of the Bringer and flee the forest, vowing never to set foot in its boundaries again.

I dreamed last night that I was with a small group of humans (~50) and we were the last surviving humans in the universe. Earth was in ruins, and we had decided for some reason that where we were currently holed up wasn't cutting it in any longer.

So we packed up our stuff and decided to caravan to the end of the world.

Like, literally the end of the world. In my dream it took us weeks and weeks of walking, and at some point the earthen ground gave way to literal construct. There was no subtle change, no door to walk through, and no explanation. It was just a jump and BOOM! We were inside some sort of structure.

The structure was enormous, a maze of hallways and classroom-sized rooms, but it seemingly stretched on for infinity. The walls were mostly bare, painted cinder block, and there were no windows. It was mostly well-lit, with harsh white light of of overhead florescent lights. Occasionally a pipe would run along the wall or ceiling. All-in-all, it sort of looked a lot like a school or camp building.

Our trek lasted for weeks, and literally we'd have to set up camp right in the middle of the hall. No fires, since we were indoors. Eventually, however, I remember I was in the front of the pack and turned a corner, and the hallway ended. There was a door and window at the end of the hall, and through the window I could see nothing but the deepest pitch black. No starlight, nothing; it was the literal end of the universe.

Nearby we found several large rooms and decided that this would have to be our new home. Whatever we were running from (this was never clear to me), it was far away, but should it come for us, we'd be doomed, since we have nowhere else to run (it may have been an existential threat rather than a literal enemy or monster, my dream was never clear on this).

One of the rooms was a large ware-house like chamber with additional rooms, and I threw a huge rug down in the corner of the room, indicating that the space was now what would be my "room" and living space.

That was it.

The end.
