Not everyone in the world is affected by Daylight Saving Time (such as most of Asia, South America, and Australia), so even if I adjust the forum time, it'll throw off the time for everyone who isn't affected by DST.

You can fix it for yourself though: If you go into your profile settings, go to Look and Layout and click auto detect next to the Time Offset option. Then click the change profile button.

Does anyone know why we use DST anymore?

Do farmers even need it?

Yeah, a lot of people question the need. I guess the only part I like is enjoying longer summer nights, but that's simple enough; make DST the standard and eliminate standard.

Hehe, We used to use DST(when I was still a school boy at that time). But later it was abandoned.

Farmers hate DST (according to the farming side of my own family). It was invented in Britain during WWI for the sake of extending the hours of the munitions factories there, and should have disappeared at the end of the war.

DST fucks with my body clock. I've heard Ben Franklin invented it to practice conserving energy. I'm just glad he died a horrible death so that the suffering isn't in vain for us.

Franklin died peacefully, and his inimitable and priceless contributions to America and rational thought as an intellectual more than outweigh the mis-application of one of his ideas two centuries later.
