Let me know if you experience any problems accessing the torrent and/or files. You should see two zip files and two text files in your favorite torrent client after launching the linked torrent file.
Total size if 9GB uncompressed, so ouch.
Videos 20 ~ 33 were missing in the original torrent. Get them here:

Yeah, there was just no getting the size down further. Even though the audio in these doesn't work in Windows Media Player, you can feel free to upload the files wherever you wish independently so more people can see them. If anyone wants to do that, please port over the non-ingame music track names and album titles into the video descriptions of wherever it is that they're being uploaded.

It would really help if whoever made the .torrent file kept it on their computer and seeded for a little while.

FW, it might be a good idea to put a table of contents for the videos either in your post or in the torrent, so I know which chapters end where.

Faust, I KNOW whats going on, The person that made the .torrent file and assigned the tracker MUST SEED UNTIL ANOTHER PERSON STARTS SEEDING. Thats how torrents work.

Unfortunately the torrent wasn't split up into the constituent files -- it's in 4Gig chunks, the idea being to reduce overall file size for transfer. Not the hottest move, but will that work for most people? I figured there wouldn't be a lot of partial downloads, but now I'm not sure.

I only have a 40GB HD with 13 GB left on it, so Im only downloading 1 ZIP at a time, then extracting/deleting the zip file

Whew, yeah, it's working. I thought there might be some huge problem at first.
Truth, the non-ingame tracks are in. These are the very same videos uploaded to Youtube throughout last month, so they'll all be in 10 minute chunks again. The two .txt files show where you can find/purchase the non-ingame tracks.
Not sure what the CE team's plans are for a possible release of the Claado Shou's tracks. He did more tracks than appeared in the video walkthrough/exhibition, but I'll let them make the decision to release them, and when. To my knowledge Claado Shou hasn't been reachable for awhile and hasn't made these available through any other avenues.

As long as the CC is not said to have helped create and/or finish the game, Z has no problem with it. Kando has been working on a similar project himself. Im surprised you didnt know that.

Hmm, there are already multiple choices to obtain CE Video Playthrough personally. I thought downloading using keepvid or other way around from Youtube or any streaming site are better and faster choice.
Speaking of downloading, I wonder what happen to NickyT's CE playthrough DVD projects?

I miss out on a lot these days because of business in my real life... Full time job, new house, wife and new puppy tends to have that effect...
Anywho, I trust that everyone making their own version of "Crimson Echoes" using the alpha build (or anything else used, for that matter) has the blessing of the dev team behind Crimson Echoes. Agent12, Chrono99, and ZeaLity all put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into it, and I'd hate to see anyone slap them over the face (over the Internet). As long as you have spoken with them and received their blessing, then awesome. Finish it so the rest of us can play it. Otherwise, I highly recommend you speak to them first.

Sorry guys, I just had to stop the torrent for the day because it's causing huge Internet connectivity problems for everyone in my household, eheh. Looks like I may only be able to seed between 5:00AM GMT and 12:00PM GMT, or 0500 ~ 1200 hours. I might try different torrent clients to see if I can find one that doesn't cause massive Internet outages throughout entire LANs.
I guess now that we've got some downtime, would it be more convenient for everyone if I made a torrent with all the uncompressed video files, and that way they could be downloaded one by one? It might seem like a less grinding experience for everyone that way. On the cost side, I'd have to stop seeding the zipped files because I simply don't have enough room on my hard drive for them and the non-zipped videos simultaneously. Let me know.
Anyone know why we seemed to have a maximum of four people in the swarm? Is it just because there was only one full seed?

Another question for those who are torrent-savvy: if the swarm size was limited by the low number of seeders (well, 1) would the swarm size increase faster if I made the videos downloadable one by one, since someone who gets one individual video done could presumably start seeding that video?

Not really FaustWolf.
Torrents are automatically divided in parts even if the torrent is just one huge file(the client does that automatically).
In a large upload like this one, the parts are normally 2MB each.
When someone finishes a part, it automatically becomes a uploader of it.
About the internet slowdown while seeding: If you aren't limiting the upload speed, do it. If you are, just lower it a little.
Also, I recommend using the lastest stable uTorrent version and PeerGuardian...some antiP2P company may be downloading from you to screw up the others :)
You can try the Speed Guide (Ctrl+G I think) to configure it correctly.
Also, enable Initial Seeding: it is on torrent properties.
That way uTorrent will try to distribute different parts to each person, so they can start uploading to each other sooner.

It is limited by the Upload Slots per torrent number, you can change it on Options/Preferences/Bandwidth

Last night I had the max upload rate at 100 kb/s; maybe too much traffic for a typical DSL connection? I'll try again soon with a lower maximum then, and keep the files as they are since the peers who managed to get on had something like 25% completion. I thought at first this would go faster, heh.

Are you using uTorrent?
If you are, set it to xx/1Mbit and see if the people in your househood complain XD.
If they do, lower the max upload even more =p
And don't forget about PeerGuardian: You can even see if someone from Square is trying to download with it :)

Okay, I'm back up. I think it was the "max number of connections" setting that was doing in my household's Internet connectivity. I'll try playing with the settings some more to see if I can get the upload speed bumped up now without the Internet cutting out.

Actually we got the name from the game itself, the Frozen Flame gave us the idea of Flames, and the fact that the Frozen Flame allowed the passage into any time we got Eternity. Not because of the song, or band (never clicked the Youtube link) or your movie idea.

Awww okay :) Well, it is a good name! I just hope Square Enix doesn't come down on you guys, though you seem to be a lot more underground of an operation than CE originally was.

Sorry about the seed dropping, I'll get it back up tonight. I just transferred from BitComet to utorrent to get with the times. I'll let 'er rip at 80kb/s all night on initial seeding and maybe we can bust this out.

Thanks FW, currently 68.5% of the torrent is available. I plan on keeping my torrent running when its done, that way hopefully we can get some more people seeding the torrent so we're not taxing your interenet.

Here's the rest of the videos. I had to stop seeding the originals to make room for these on my main hard drive, so if some seeders for the originals could remain that would be hugely appreciated.

Excellent! I am now downloading both sets using a torrent app on my Virtual Private Server shell account that I have, and as soon as I am done uploading I shall let it remain to continue seeding. Since this is a shell account, it should be online 24/7, and as long as I don't go over my 200GB monthly bandwidth (I won't lol) it should continue to seed until it hits that.
Thanks for the upload, now I can work on making DVD's of them, which I can also seed when they are done! :-)

Careful with the audio especially NickyT. Except for videos 20~33 and 76~84 and 90, since those were custom audio not dumped directly from ZSNES, it doesn't work in Windows Media Player, in case that affects anything. VLC Media Player can understand it just fine though IIRC.

Thanks for the heads up FW, I think I will be fine, as long as it works in VLC then I know that as long as I have the right codec installed it should be ok. The way I will be encoding everything will be completely separate from WMP.
If all else fails, I think I should be able to dump the audio from the vids to a WAV file and mux it into the video on the DVD's.
Thanks for the warning though! Wonder why it's not working in WMP?

Must be the format ZSNES dumps audio in by default. I think it's PCM? But yeah, if you run the audio through an audio processing program and change it to MP3 or WAV it works fine in WMP after that.

I've recompressed the audio for anyone that doesn't mind mp3 audio verses PCM. (The videos are now about half the original size.) I'm currently working on uploading them to zshare. Let me know if anyone has any issues with these.

holy crap Lol 8.4 gigs total, nice. been a while since I downloaded a huge torrent.
though I am having some problems... every few seconds im getting kicked off the torrent (think its the same thing as earlier).
but when its not doing that got some good speeds on it (80 kbps to 450 kbps).
well its over :( but at least CE got out in a few forms.
dunno what else to say lol.

Why doesn't somebody make this in a novel format? It would then fall under fanfiction, right? What's the prospect of something like that coming to fruition?

Please seed. I just remembered that I need to watch this but the second torrent seems to unavailable "Emerald Dream Video Series torrent". The first video torrent works fine but a little low on seeds.
edit: some time ago I tried downloading the videos off youtube but there were always errors (http://www.chronocompendium.com/Forums/index.php/topic,7587.msg165491.html#msg165491) in the beginning. These only appear when I start up the video. It just might be some encoding errors or whatnot... Anyway the torrent probably just contains the same files that are on youtube so I'd get the same files regardless of the method(?).

odber, the original files are AVIs, whereas I believe you're getting MP4s from Youtube. I'll need a couple days to fish them all back out and reseed.

This may not be the right thread for this, but it seemed appropriate. CE has been listed by GamesRadar as one of the top 10 fan projects that shouldn't be (or have been) C&Ded.

Anyway, I was also wondering if the CE Team had anything planned for May 10th? This is the rash and immature side of me showing, but something akin to a giant "Eff You" to SE would be appropriate, methinks.

Darn, I didn't have a chance to rummage through my external hard drive and yank out the videos yet. Odber, did you ever find them or do you still need a reup?
As far as what to do on May 10, the only thing I could suggest is collecting fan retrospective on CE for a feature article. And then using the opportunity to kickstart the 2010 Dream Splash! early as the ultimate sign of creative defiance.
