Title: Your favorite Need For Speed phase?

Which phase of Need for Speed do you like.  Series 1-6 where you could just pick a track and play?    Series 7-11 (the underground racing type)  (Hey that's also a store)


I actually enjoy the 1-6 ones.   My favorites are Hot Pursuit and High Stakes but NFSHS seems to not have any shortcuts which is a dissapointment.             I recently went back to it since I haven't played it in years.

I'm mostly a Gran Tourismo guy (though mostly the Rally Racing of...3 & 4, I think?)...Also, this could have been thrown into the Video Game Discussion thread (it doesn't seem to be getting much attention as is anyways)...

The PC version of High Stakes has the NFS3 tracks included with it, so it's the best of both worlds, in that regard. :)

The older NFS games seem to do the trick for me. Haven't really been drawn to the newer ones as much.
