Lose the laugh.

[/offtopic]

As for what time, I would live in an alternate version of Antiquity in which Zeal does not fall (The Ideal Events that occurred in Zeal during Part 1 of Temporal Odyssey would be one).

As awkward as Crestryo has made this thread, I would have to say...

1000AD works for me.

(Say that out loud; it rhymes.)

2300 AD, of course! It's rather lovely.

Probably Zeal for obvious reasons. It's so beautiful, relaxing and dreamy and the dress style is gorgeous.

I would like to be in El Nido 1,020 AD, where I could join the Acacia Dragoons, that would be great to me.

1005 A.D., Porre. I want to see how they managed to conquer Guardia. :picardno
Or perhaps 1015 A.D., to see how Lynx burnt Lucca's orphanage.

In order of preference:

1) 2300 A.D., post-world-saving.
2) 2300 A.D., alternate universe non-apocalyptic eternal Zeal
3) 1999 A.D, Crono & co emerging for the showdown

I'd have to say 2300 AG in a timeline where Lavos and Zeal never fell. Technology + Magic + No Evil Parasite Eating the Planet and Corrupting All Life = awesomeness. :D
Title: Re: if you were stuck in a time from the chrono series what would it be
Post by: Shadow D. Darkman on January 06, 2009, 07:22:31 pm
Problem.

No Lavos = No Frozen Flame = No Magic = No Zeal

Sun Stone would never be discovered if Lavos didn't fall. Or would it? What would the Sun Stone do, and how would the Humans be affected having never been affected by Lavos first through the Frozen Flame?
Title: Re: if you were stuck in a time from the chrono series what would it be
Post by: Chocobo_Fan on January 06, 2009, 07:27:13 pm
No Lavos does not necessarily mean no magic. The Sun Stone has no connection to Lavos, so I'm sure it would still be found and used.

Besides, in the Reptite dimension, didn't they use elements, which were very similar to magic? And besides, there were innate magic users as well... It's still entirely possible that there could be magic/elements in a world where Lavos didn't fall.

(There probably would be a Zeal-like civilization, by the way, even though it would likely be much later. They had Dinopolis, so...)

Didn't do crap but create a paradox. Without Lavos, there is no Frozen Flame.

*looks at Cerestryo's post* Sigh, people...

And yes, Lavos played a key role in the rise of Zeal, (and the evolution of all humans, for that matter) but the Reptites still managed to create a society, magic, and likely many other things without Lavos's influence.

:picardno

But if I controlled space time I could what for lavos to come and remove him from that time period onwards, so the frozen flame would still be there because he fell in 65,000,000B.C. and that's when the frozen flame was "created" so it would still be there when he disappeared.

  ^^^^
<   O   >   <----- Here is Lavos. He is a direct cause of creating the FF, which is here ----->  O
  `````
So, the FF relies on Lavos's existence to, well, EXIST.
  ^^^^
<   O   > ======= O
  `````

Therefore, if Lavos is destroyed in all timelines, the FF no longer exists.

  ^^^^
<   X   > =/=/=/=/= O <-- Is relegated to the DBT
  `````
Summary: If you kill Lavos, FF goes to the DBT and you can't use it. You need to be careful when dealing with time! Unless you're acting on a Time-Error-Error or something, you can't get the FF if you kill Lavos...
I don't see why you'd need it, though. The Sun Stone is a source of great power, as well, with the added bonus of NOT BEING EVIL. >.>
:picardno :picardno :picardno :picardno
that's not how i't would happen.
I ment that i would only remove it from antiquity onwards. He'll still exist in 65,000,000 B.C. when the frozen flame was created, so the paradox would work in my favor because the frozen flame would still exist if he is still in 65,000,000 B.C. then the frozen flame would still exist in antiquity and the future.
also thanks for the sunstone idea that could work for the power source of the commoners
and it would never go out because i control space time and can rejuvanate it when it gets dim.
In order to remove Lavos's corruption completely, you'd need to destroy him before he even landed.
I still bring up my earlier point of why you'd want the FF in the first place... >.> Sun Stone likely has more power and ISN'T EVIL.
(A civilization powered by a Sun Stone that is never taken out of the Sun Shrine would have potentially limitless power! The FF, on the other hand, likely wouldn't be able to do such a thing and would turn everyone into Lavos's puppets)
Good point. However, is it possible to apply the Pneumatic Effect to it and increase its power, kinda like when Lucca made the WonderShot?
maybe it's possible to remove lavos's influence on it. and then i can fuse the sun stone with it somehow.
For me, I'd be happiest either...
A.) Being wherever Harle is.(Shut up about corniness, I do things old fashioned. Get between me and Harle and you'll end up with a missing hand before you even realize it  :lee: )
or
B.) 1000 AD. Something I always found interesting about it, not sure what... Maybe it's that it has the most towns/interactable people in it in Trigger? That's all I can think of. Plus it'd also be nice to be with Crono, Marle, Lucca and as painful as it would be once Lynx and Harle come in on them(Lucca for sure, not sure about Crono or Marle), I'd team up with those two and procede to not give a crap about Lynx's orders but moreso what Harle's up to. I'd be to Harle what Harle is to Lynx(minus the whole betrayal and help lead to downfall thing).
So I guess perfect mix of the two would be around 1001 AD - 1004 AD and on.
Does that choice not directly conflict with the notion of being "stuck" in a time period and thus the premise of this topic?  Heh.  Too late to change your choice now; you shall spend the rest of eternity wandering between three rooms, losing your mind, but ever increasing in magical power.
I like the El Nido Archipelago, the area has a cultural flair, that would need to be developed.  It would therefore need more people and bigger cities.  That should all come with time though, so let's say... El Nido 1700 A.D.
The only problem I can think of, is that it seems like a quite tropical area with no Winter... and I love Snow.
I'll take this work or 1000 AD. Time can be a fickle thing but I would not mind being stuck in a world of knights and honor for an instant.
I'm going to be utterly original and say: 2300 AD, as is in the game: a ruinous windswept land.
Why? because I would rather have a life that I would have to work to keep, that builds character, than to have a life where everything is handed to me.
Happened to me once in Iraq.  Suicide bomber, found his hand in the back seat of a damaged humvee.  Thought it was a glove at first because it was all burned up, but then I noticed it had fingernails.  Spawned the best quote I ever produced IMHO.
Quote from: Fou in a nonchalant tone.
I would love to be in 1000ad. why then? because I would be able to hang with Crono, Marle, and Lucca. Since I am intelligent, I would probably end up assisting Lucca with her inventions or making my own. Then 20 years later, I'd kick Lynx and Harle's butt out of Lucca's Orphanage.
1020 A.D., El Nido, Another World.
Because;
- I could meet up with Serge and help him on his adventures
- I could kiss Kid (actually she might stab me to death :S )
- I could get Nikki's autograph
- I could drink a Galaxy Night at the Dragon Tail Bar
Or;
- I could find Dark Serge and become his ally!!!! Yess!!! And ofcourse with me at his side we would kick Serge's ass easily and we would dominate the world. =D
That's cute. Assuming there's a fictional character interested in you whom you find physically attractive, your deepest, darkest fantasy is a smooch?
 :D
Change my answer from 600ad to the dbt. I'd bang Schala. She'd be all "ooh, detach me from this lavos thing" and I'd be all "I'm actually kinda busy here, you know, railing ya." Then you'd kiss a sorta clone made from DNA that I banged already.
How's that? :)
All in good fun, I suppose.
(sorry, had to make it dramatic)
You're going in for a sneak when suddenly annoying character(let's say me just for the fun of it) pops up inbetween.
"HEY THERE! WHA-*smooch* ah! BLEH! What're you doing?!"
And then you'd get stabbed by me. Leave. Then Kid upset with your attempting it stabs you even though you never got to!
Well, but that can be resolved. I'd just hijack Korcha's boat and get over to Guldove, where poor Kid is lying in bed with illness, and then it will be the perfect moment :D
She won't stab me either :D
Dark Serge is actually Magus, come to rape us all! Teeheehee
Magus was a rapist? He seemed more like a child molester to me  :?
Time eggs? HA! Not even those can top it...
Gaspar is master of
REALLY BAD TIMING!
Thus resulting in any time egg use will only work to his advantage! Somehow...Belthasar's gotta be in cahoots somehow, him and his crazy decade long plans of extreme confusion that even when you think are stopped they aren't. The only one who could top that crack team would be...CRAP! I forgot! You'd totally agree with me if I remembered but I forgot it!
Taking it too seriously, aren't you? Although...
Or;
- I could find Dark Serge and become his ally!!!! Yess!!! And ofcourse with me at his side we would kick Serge's ass easily and we would dominate the world. =D
Over my dead body!! I also decided with 1,020 AD El Nido. I would join Serge and help him stop both of you!
(I can do it too.)
If you knew me in real life, you'd understand. Once I get into a joke, I become truly dedicated to it. I mean seriously, I have really made awkward moments in large crowds before, gotten some pretty big trouble, etc. All cause when I say I'm dedicated to something(even as trivial as a joke)I mean it.
And no, sorry, I still don't remember that person. Although for some reason I came up with HAL 9000, so let's stick with him.
HAL 9000 WILL DOMINATE YOU ALL WITH REALLY BAD TIMING!
1020 so I can join Dark Serge and well Dark Serge....then back stab them both and take the frozen flame for myself. *cough* *cough* I mean and help Serge and Acacia...hehehehe.
Or 12,000 BC and then I make sure to stay loyal. I shall obtain immortality by Lavos, but I won't stay in the Omen. In 1999AD I will reappear and fight Chrono's group.....and die....in the service of a large insect....yep....good times....
