My computer time's been restricted, so I can't use the computer from 12 PM-5 PM PST.
-
Is this expected to last a certain amount of time? It's going to be rough sailing without the hacking and asm master.
-
Shoot... sorry man. :( Hope it's not a long term thing.
-
Agreed. It's gonna suck.
-
I didn't know computers could BE time constrained/constricted. Is that a parental feature or something?
-
No, it's just that I've been told not to use the computer during that time or I'll get in trouble.
-
Well, hang in there Vehek!
-
What did you do this time, Vehek? ;)
-
Whoa your 18? I always got 23-24 vibe from you.
-
Don't worry about it. There have been long weeks and months during which I never looked at this site once, because other things came first, and nothing should come before your own health.
Regular sleep is a really good habit to get into, even if it means you can't fit as much activity into each day, because the things you do get around to doing will be at a higher level of performance and effectiveness. Use this as an opportunity rather than as a loss.
-
Do what I did when I was your age. Rebel.
Of course there's not much you can do to rebel against your parents nowadays. With this lameass emo/twilight craze every kid is dressing like an asshole and parents have been desensitized to it.
I leave you with an awesome quote from south park - "What has become of our son?" "He has become that...which we cannot ground."
-
You could always get a drug problem to rebel.
-
Naw even drugs these days have become mainstream.
-
Plus, in the long run, he'd regret it.
-
A huge portion of the population is habitually on some sort of drug, be it over the counter, prescription medication, illegal, or the triple-vice of alcohol, caffeine and nicotine. Several hundred thousand people die a year due to "minor" side effects of prescription drugs alone.
Most don't regret it. It's human nature. Like I said drugs have become mainstream.
I wonder what could truly shock a parent nowadays? Telling them you want to become a monk, take a vow of silence, and move to Nepal maybe?
-
Tell them your into animals now I bet that'd be a shocker.
-
Haha, that's funny as I was gonna say that not even coming out of the closet shocks parents anymore nowadays.
Someone mentioned Vehek is 18? He should move out. Time to cut the cord. Set your own rules.
-
He probably can't stand on his own two feet yet.
-
Got a laptop? Head out to the local coffee shop during the 2-5 PM interval and access the internet there. Of course then they'd probably restrict car priveleges on you...so you could take the bus...can they restrict bus priveleges?
-
Uhh... Talking to me or him? :? <(???)
-
Vehek obviously. Unless you too are banned from the internet from 2-5 PM? I was saying "you" rhetorically. Guess I should have wrote "him" to be clearer. I can see now how it could have been confusing, sorry.
-
Meh, s'alright. I do have to be careful when on the Net, though.
-
Like I said:
Parents: "Where are you going, son?"
"To study at the coffee shop with friends" (when you are really going there to access their free internet)
"So responsible all of a sudden."
-
Heh, nice. Wish I had unrestricted Internet that I could access whenever I wanted.
-
mmm.... Drugs....
(DR. PEPPER FTW!!!)
Anyways, I like Spaghetti.
(Trying to make my post seem thoughtful...)
Well, that sucks. Sorry your parents Are jerks and won't let you online. If this ever happened to me, I'd be lucky. I don't get home 'till 5:30 :)
(shadow, I think the RP is starting...)
-
(No worries, I won't post in that thread. I'll still watch Sign Up, in case people continue to post there.
-
Gaah I forgot you weren't joining. Sorry, shadow, I must seem like an ass.
BACK TO TOPIC!!!
-
No worries.
-
mmm.... Drugs....
(DR. PEPPER FTW!!!)
Dude Cherry Coke is where it's at.
And if you're gonna get addicted to caffeine you might as well go all out. Down a red bull.
I swear that Red Bull got me through college with straight A's. Stay up late studying - drink a red bull. Tired before the test - drink a red bull. Too tired to entertain the girlfriend because you were staying up all night drinking red bull - drink a red bull.
I have it on good authority that it may in fact give you wings too. Which is a plus because gas is so damned expensive nowadays.
-
What did you do this time, Vehek? ;)
I spent too much time playing games and not finishing my final assignment for English the night before it was due, the night before the last day of classes.
-
Was it worth it though?
-
Not really, since it was mostly wandering around the Internet sites I frequent during a slow period.
