Title: Might Be Going Away For A While...
Post by: Shadow D. Darkman on December 09, 2008, 01:21:50 pm: Due to issues at school and home, I might end up unable to come to the Compendium for a while. I hope to be back as soon as I can, but that's not in my control.

And teaflower, I symphatize. No, it wasn't a big assignment. It was a bad grade, probably the worst ever. Thing is, I got 4 1/2 weeks to get it above a 70. Ever had to pull a SINGLE-DIGIT grade up to a 70 before?

Science last year, second/third quarter. Got a 20 something. Got it up to a C. Passed the quarter with honors.

As for my stupid school, they think that having us do a whole year class (i.e., English, Math, Latin, Journalism...) in half a year (what we usually spend on Art, Gym, and stuff) is a good idea. Plus, because of my wonky schedule, I have to pass the MCAS on English in April when I stop taking English in January! Ugh!

Well, it's nice that you're staying with us for a while.

Let's hope I can hide my progress report from my mom... if I get an F, though, we'll be getting a call and no district wide musical for me. Oh, god...

EDIT 2: I'm surprised that ANYONE can lock topics that THAT USER has created.

You probably won't read this, but I didn't feal like posting since you locked it or w/e...but what user? What are you talking about there...?

Can you be more specific? IDK what you mean.

EDIT: I see now. What I meant was that any user, not just mods, could lock topics, as long as that particular user was the one who created the thread. For example, say, HyperNerd makes a thread somewhere here on the Compendium. The only people who can lock that thread are admins, mods, and HyperNerd himself.

Meanwhile, someone get me a PM on how to lower post count. Still need to get rid of the Fail thing since it prevents activity from reaching potential peak (which might be 16 PPD for some).

I deleted that account because you're not supposed to make new duplicate accounts. Learn to accept consequences, because there is no "starting over" here, especially not to give yourself a free ride out of being placed into a restricted status.

You're supposed to stick this account out until the ppd is under 10, which if you understand some basic math and how to calculate averages, you'd know that simply posting at a rate less than 10 PPD will bring the total average down. The less you post, the faster it goes down. After all, it's just your post count divided by the total number of days since you've been registered.

Considering you're fairly new and your current average is something like 40+ posts per day, it could be a month or two before your account goes back to normal.

For how long? Let's see... when did I come back? You see, thanks to school and a lack of interest, I dropped the Compendium from my daily ritual. That killed my posts per day. I left... in April of '08 and came back in July. That killed my post count. What apparently brought me back was my game was failing and I had nothing to do.

I forgot to mention this anywhere... You are currently limited to having 3 personal messages, and you can't send any. I figure the PM feature is worth getting back enough to get you to limit the amount of posting that you do, but for the time being you're just limited to posting everything you want to say publically for all to see.
