So there is this guy who paints DS lites as a hobby. When I discovered his work, I knew I had to get a Chrono Trigger custom painted DS lite from him to celebrate the CTDS port. Mine is almost done (the paint is drying) so I figured the time is ripe to ask you all what image you would choose if you had the opportunity to commision your own custom DS lite.

Also, attached are two images: my own source image (the CT logo with a normal C because he could not do the proper Chrono Trigger C that small) and the finished product, just to give everyone an idea.

Ew, if he couldn't do the logo properly I wouldn't want it at all...>_>
Anyways...maybe some of the art (though if he couldn't do the logo, how could he hope to do that?)...Or a design that made the whole DS look like a part of Robo or something might be neat...

You have to admit, it's a nice idea... and the C he did instead could have been a little thinner, but it's really more of an idea thread than a showoff thread, so thanks for the input.
Try looking as this guys other work. I linked to it in my other post, and he is capable of doing better stuff than this. Just not *that* small. If the proper C took over the entire top, it might have worked...

Some of the ones on his site are damn nice...some of them need work, but for the most part he seems to be pretty decent at what he's doing.
I gotta say, I think the idea to make it look like part of Robo is just freakin' awesome. But personally I'd want to see the Dream Team on there: the image of them is just hilarious and grossly underused. I'll see if I can dig up the image I'm thinking of.

And I'm damn curious to know how much you've spent on this. Or what's the average price this guy charges. And about where this guy lives.

Or just any of those random meaningless drawings and colorings he seems to do so well.

Yep, just the Chrono Trigger "C" would be nice. Or "Radical Dreamer" written in some stylish way.

Yeah, I was looking through the Compendium for it, but couldn't remember where I saw it. Look at that team, they're freakin' awesome.
And holy shit, the sword and shield mods looks ridiculously bad ass--I wonder what he used to make that, some kind of weird pin? Cause if we're gonna see any CT memorabilia being sold...key chains, pins, or whatever other shit, we could probably pull off some decent mods ourselves.

Yeah, it kind of got me thinking that maybe a painting might not be the best way to go, especially since he couldn't do the logo right...maybe some kind of external thingy like that would be cool. Even if it's not as pronounced as that, but made of metal still would be nice...

I think I would want some museum painting-esque wide shot painting with a scene from the game, much like one of the Official Arts.
The Dream Team would also be amazing.

whoah. That would Be KICKASS. And it would still fit in my backpack Full of my 24 DS Games, and I don't even want to count my GBA Games. Like a year ago, I counted all my games, and they added up to 146. Yes. 146 games. And that was BEFORE My FF Craze and The Wii! Man, I'm such a freaking Nerd, lol.

IDK how many games I have, counting my NES games, SNES games, N64 games, GameCube games, Wii games, GBA games, GBC games, DS games, and all the games from each of the aforementioned that have gone AWOL.

Damn, If I was counting the ones my brother and sister had broken, I'd have about 100 MORE Games. That's Nothing compared to this, though. As for the Chrono Series, I have Chrono Trigger DS, and Chrono Cross. We Had Chrono Trigger on SNES at one point, but my parents sold it when I was like... 6 years old, as they had no time to play video Games anymore. As for everything else, I don't have piles of money, so i can't really buy much else. I have the original CT and RD on my comp., along with tons of ROM Hacks.
