I'm not sure which forum I should put this in.
Yesterday, I found this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OVxb-GU_zog
http://www.sendspace.com/file/f0kdyk
I'm not sure how old it is; many of its files have a "last modified date" of 2004 or 2005.
I copied down the intro to one section of the game:
Epilogo
Epilogue
At the end of time the battle took place by which it would decide the destiny of mankind.
Lavos the extraterrestrial creature emerged from the depths of the earth to destroy the entire existence of life but a group of unsung heroes managed to defeat and end the ambition of the monster.
The continuous cycle of life heroes and victors returned to the time that they belonged. Because of his exploits were recognized as heroes.
But despite everything to meet again soon ...

NICE find! That preview was exhilerating, especially when Frog encountered the Grim Reaper from Super Castlevania IV. This looks delish!
-
^-- That whole sentence just made me cry
-
The grim reaper from Super Castlevania IV was one of my all-time fave sprites, so I was pumped to see it used in such a way.
-
Is the game self contained or does it require RPGmaker2003?
-
The download says says "Chrono Chronicles," but I'm almost positive that this is different from the one ZeaLitY announced here: http://www.chronocompendium.com/Forums/index.php?topic=5101.0
It's standalone, Kebrel. Whoa, there's skulls in the intro. This is pretty slick so far, but I'm still on the intro screens.
EDIT: For better or worse it seems to be an action game in the Zelda vein. Too bad, because it had a uber creepy atmosphere and really seemed to be going somewhere until I found out there was no turn-based battle system. However, if you're into Zelda this might be a dream come true.
-
damn not working for me at all :?
-
When you unzip, the game executable is Chrono Chronicles\RPG_RT. Is that what you clicked on Kebrel?
-

Heh, I didn't realize this because when I tried playing for a bit, I avoided the monsters.
-
I kept trying to run into them to test out the battle system, and then it hit me...this was the battle system.
-
I'll try it later on my desktop, my monitor freaks out on my laptop. Kinda scary, it goes black and then a white glow from the bottom slowly spreads...not good I imagine. When I hit print screen it gives me an in game screen shot though :?:

I've always wished for an action Chrono game. And when I finally bump into one it's... dunno... strange. =s
I've just battled Slash and Flea. Probably it was that strange because of the engine used, rm2k3.
Yet, however, it's Chrono. Thus, it's also naturally awesome. Besides, it's quite well done at various aspects and seems to have a curious story (which I'm hoping not to be just a lot of nonsense).

Can someone grab a screenshot for the Fan Projects page?
-
Quick grab from the Youtube vid. It may be too blurry though.

Looking at those screenshots it doesn't look half bad!

Thanks for the timely response.
