Title: Still here.
Post by: Azala on February 04, 2008, 12:27:36 pm
In case anyone's thought that this project is dead, this is a notice saying that it is most certainly not.

I just haven't been posting anything about the project lately. The project is still progressing. Once Sealed gets back to me, we can show off some of the screenshots.

As it is, I only have one little shot to show right now.

Yeah, this shot isn't much. I'll have pics of the opening scenes and such as soon as possible.

This truly seems like an intriguing project and I'll definitely be keeping my eyes on it. Good luck!  :)

I gotta agree it's a pretty interesting idea for a project. Don't get discouraged and keep at it. ^^

Question for ya:
How did you change the default name (or did you)? I am working on a project as well and I have been stumped on that. I heard someone say they did it "via hex editing", but I am a total 100% NooB at that. Is that how you did it as well? If so, what tool did you use?

Load up the rom in Temporal Flux.  Click Windows, Locations.  Go to Loading Screen, click Events.  You'll see this: http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x220/Xxjustin3009xX/TF.png

And ya...

Alright, I found that, and forgive me if this is a stupid question but:

What do I DO with that? I don't understand how that's the names.

It's got this as the "Data" on that:

A2CBC8C7C800ACBACBC5BE00ABCEBCBCBA00B1C8BBC80000A5CBC8C00000A0D2C5BA0000ACBAC0CECC00A4C9C8BCC100

Not sure what those numbers mean at all.
Do I change the names from right here? Or what?
Sorry if this is a stupid question or if I'm misunderstanding something. =\

Wow, man. Thanks a ton. How in the world did you figure this out? =O
Title: Re: Still here.
Post by: justin3009 on March 31, 2008, 12:10:35 am
Eh, it was kinda obvious.  if A2 = C, then A1 = B, A0 = A.  then just keep counting down till you finish lowercase and actually test the values.

Yeah, I get it now. It's actually really simple when you understand it. Thanks a ton.

Well, unfortunately Sealed has been completely out of contact. If sealed is gone, then tis project's fate is also "sealed" seeing how the copy of the project I had had was lost due to computer problems some time ago.

All I can do at the moment is hope for the best...

You lost your copy? Man, that hurts.

Well, I hope things look up. =\

We'll have to see what happens. If sealed truly is gone, then most likely this project will become just another carcass atop Mt. Woe.

Is like a nemesis all the computers have probles when someone is making a crono game (something similar happened to me with my ps2 when I started to make a Chrono game with rpg maker 3)

Honestly, everyone should just make a habit of copying their stuff onto a disc, sending it to another comp, etc.
Do it like once a month or something, that way, if your comp DOES blow up, at least everythings not lost.

External hard drives are win, no better way to go.

Post by: Azala on April 10, 2008, 01:28:53 am
Well, I found a slightly less old copy. I knew I had a backup somewhere! However, I doubt I could do this whole project on my own. Therefore, I need someone to take the place of Sealed and help me with event coding. I only have basic knowledge of events. However, I have the plot completely planned.

Good news, Azala, glad to hear it.
I would help ya, out of interest, but I'm too swamped with my own hack. Good luck though. ^^;

Maybe make another thread entitled "Help Wanted" or something?

I would help if I could!

Stay at it and get that help, because I want that mod...

I'm touched that there's so much interest in the prokect. I had no idea it had this many supporters. Even if I can't get help, I'll do the best I can.

Well, this sure is awkward. I don't want the project to die, but I haven't worked on it in a LONG freaking time. Not only that, but I still have no team members.

Just give me a month or two, and if I can't get the project rolling again, then it's off to the ol' MoW.

I don't know. It plagued mine for awhile, too. I eventually got over it and learned to live with it.

Als, have you found your CT: DS panties yet? XD

Nope, so I resorted to what the earthbounds do and skinned a mammoth carcass to make one. As for your gender, I take it you never really looked down at yourself to check now did you? *giggle*

I'll help with what I can.

I've done a little on most things, but I'm getting pretty good at enemy AI, if I do say so myself.

Tell me what you need.

I would like to inform you all that I am now back on track. Eclipsed Existance is now lending me a hand in event editing, as well as inspired me to continue working on the project. Don't throw this into the mountain, because this project is alive and kicking! :D

Nah. No Ice age. Just school. :(

Sorry guys. I really don't have the time to work on this......for now, anyway.

Think of this as, like, "suspended in time" rather than dead, I dunno.
