What's your favorite quote from this very quotable game? Oh, and keep in mind that I left out Magus' line about laughing at fate for fear that it would steal the show. this quote shows how even ayla (that isn't even that smart, but extreemly helpful) care's for the sake of the planet even if it takes her life to save it. she wont back out in somthing she took promise too. that shows her honor.
P.s. the quote has honor but its iliterat. thats what i like about it.

I think there are far better Magus quotes throughout the game ("Shall we burn it?" for instance) that top that Catalak one...in fact, I don't understand having a lot of those quotes in the list...>_>
And that Ayla quote deserves the whole speech, I think, not just that bit...Maybe cause I love the part where she says "Old man breathe, but dead on inside."

I dunno why I like it really. I guess because Glenn is my favorite character.
These lines sort of show the doubt Glenn has in himself. And I think with these lines he then begins to overcome his doubt and I really admire that about him.

Mine is when magus says "you got whacked cuz your weak." its sooooo out of character. Its really a translation error he actually says "the weak die like worms" in the japanese version. I couldnt beleive he said that at first, I thought I had a hacked ROM copy :lol:

We'd know about it. Any ROM hack with Schala as a party member would be big news for the Chrono community, seeing as how it is otherwise impossible to get her, as there is no code in the game anywhere that would allow a player to utilize Schala as a party member.

And, you can't beat the Queen in Zeal, anyways. You beat her at the Black Omen, or you beat Lavos at Zeal(which can even be done on a NG/nerd). Remember, the Queen only appears in the PD AFTER Lavos kicked you ass.

Playstation release have something like that in one of the endings? I heard this somewhere, but I have never played the Playstation version.

Out of those it is Ayla's quote. It is so profound and true even in such a basic form of English. I would have chosen "Lower thine guard..." but twas not to be on this poll.

From what I remember, a proper retranslation of what he says wouldn't have been as simple as 'like worms'...in Japanese, it uses a word that's kind of vague that just kind of means lowly bugs of some kind. This is only what I remember from one of the old Hyena20 (http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/snes/file/563538/25464) threads.

I had to go with the "Mine name is Glenn" quote. There are so many good quotes in the Chrono series, but I used this one in a desktop wallpaper I made a while ago. Staring at it all the time has definitely turned it into one of my favorites.

I voted for the Glenn quote as a single line, but I just love Frog and Magus' back and forth in the alternate ending. "But there is some merit to fighting you......!"
Unfortunately, I felt the Glenn one was a better single line.

Out of the ones there, I chose "Heal-thy? Got a nice ring to it!" because I've always liked that quote...Imagine a time when things are so bad that people don't even know what it means to be well! But Marle and Crono brought hope to the people in 2300 AD.
My favorite quote is between Frog and Ayla, though:

Thank you J. I've been here for over a year now and I haven't seen this topic yet.
After reading through all of them, one of them gave me goosebumps: "Mine name is Glenn..." and therefore deserves my vote.
But if I had to pick my favorite of all time it would be: "...You got whacked 'cuz you're weak." Probably the most out of character statement I've ever seen from Magus, very memorable though.

It's so poetic and profound. There's something about the quote that stirs something in me. Every time I play the game and read it, I get goosebumps.

My other one is from Lucca. "We're from way after the day after tomorrow." For some reason, that one makes me laugh every time. ''

I had to go for Gato's classic rhyming line. :D I was actually a bit dismayed when they tweaked it for the DS version, though I liked the new translation overall!

Speaking of the Gato line, not only is it better in Japanese, but it's so awesome they animated that. I bet a lot of you have seen the CT OVA, but this is just CLASSIC-

I think that one is Marle's, but other characters have an slightly different version, this one is my favorite. Even thought I usually prefer Lucca being the one that hugs Crono at death peak, I'll totally bring Marle just to have that line.
