For those who haven't heard, I (with the rest of the team at Wonder Animation), am currently working on our first movie project. The project will consist of 3 or 4 full length movies, retelling the story of Chrono Trigger (the first movie being titled "CT: The Past and Beyond").
We are currently working on writing a script and are assembling a larger team of voice talents. The project is new, and we expect to finish the first movie installment around December of 2009. (It's a long way away, but movies don't make themselves!)
The new website was just built and is running well, but we have yet to finish three pages of information. You can find the website at www.ChronoMovie.com (http://www.ChronoMovie.com). It's best viewable in Firefox (http://www.getfirefox.com). Animation tests and concept art will be added to the website soon, so you can see the progress being made.

Thanks, and no, actually it's completely different. It's going to be actual animation, like the anime cutscenes in the PSX version of CT.

By the way, I used firefox for the webpage and everything I assume was supposed to be in that yellow box got shifted to the left.

This sounds like it could be absolutely amazing. And also-- are all of the voice-actors lined up yet? I like to call myself one and was wondering... well, you get the picture... :D

We'll be holding auditions VERY soon over the internet. All you will have to do is send us a recording of your voice and what character you want to play. If your cast, you might not start recording for another long while, but hopefully soon.

If we are going to have people on our voice talent team that are too much of a distance away to come record at our studio, then they will be required to have a good mic. Sorry I didn't mention it earlier...

The auditions haven't yet opened, but should be up (at the very latest) by the end of July. Thanks for your interest, and we hope to hear from you soon!

This movie sounds interesting and if I could at least get a small part in that would make my day or year. Chrono Trigger is my life! and I've always looked for ways to make my own CT demo or game but Idon't have DSL and well this com was made in 2006 and it's still as slow as the rest so I haven't had any luck with anything

And it's people like you that bastardize the whole Chrono Trigger community as a whole.

Is this project defunct or what? The website doesn't work, nor have we heard anything from Mitchelhunt.
