Userbars kind of grew on me, so I learned how to make them pretty easily.
I thought I'd make a few Chrono based Userbars for the Compendium. Feel free to request one to put in your sig, I'll try to make some more when I have time. Even if nobody wants any, I'll post the ones I make, just to share.

I'll do Spekkio tonight, I've slowed down to 2 or 3 bars a day (they are starting to look a little better as I go too).

Aha I like the Nuumamonjaa one. Finally someone considers that "episode" of the series :wink: Note that the little monster is supposed to be a Kilwala though, not a Poyozo. His name was kept as Mamo in the OAV fan translation, but it's a mistake: "Mamo" is actually what "Kilwalas" are called in the Japanese CT game, so they should have called him Kilwala (though Nukilwala-something is less cool than Nuumamonjaa...).

Thanks, I loved Nuumamonjaa. :) I like doing stuff like this that I know darn good and well that only true Chrono Trigger fans will appreciate and/or understand.
I honestly thought he was a poyozo... I'll fix that here shortly. thank you very much for correcting me. I have some good quirky ideas that will make for fun userbars, after I get all the usual suspects out of the way. :wink:

I'd love to make some for Chrono Cross, but I'm a bit clueless on where to find graphics for them. I get all the sprites I'm using for these from a sprite ripping site or two. Anyone know of any Chrono Cross sprite sites right offhand? I'm sure I'll find one eventually, but the more links the better. :)

Chrono Cross userbars underway, along with requests, just check back on occasion in the first post, where I update with new userbars for everyone here at the Compendium. Take as many as you want, and use them here or on other boards (and even have the userbars link here to the Compendium).
Forgive the Crono Cross userbars, though I have beaten and love Crono Cross, I fear I won't be able to do the game justice, it's been quite awhile since I played the game, so these may seem awkward at first.

Ack! You forgot Spekkio's Kilwala form! I might be the only one, but I've always thought of Spekkio in that form, since it's the first one I saw.

Doesn't spekkio also have a frog version when you reach him under lvl 10?

That's pretty neat-o, I guess...How about a Radical Dreamers one using that ending graphic w/the three of them standing on that hill near that tree? Y'know, w/all those birds flying in the background, I'm sure it'd look pretty cool as one of these things...

Decided to go ahead and use the Citizen of Zeal and Temporal Flux userbars.
Just a suggestion: Maybe a Chrono Cross Glenn and Chrono Trigger Glenn userbars? Everybody loves Glenn from both games, and he looks quite cool in my opinion in CT.

You need to use IMG tags.

Only without the spaces in the IMG tags, which were places there so the BBCode didn't auto-activate.

Ahh crap, you misread what I wrote. Darn it! Had a feeling that might happen as I was writing the reply.
When I said "I'm happy to do it for ya Azala, I was simply stating happy to bump the post and draw attention to this thread. That's all. I wish I knew how to make user bars and stuff like that, but sadly I don't. If I did however, I would definitely help you out. I just don't have, or know how to use, those programs to make something like hat.
Sorry to confuse ya :(.
I hope someone, if not Chickenlump, steps up and can help you out, I would if I could.

Adding pictures to signatures is so easy, even non-reptiles can do it! Just do the following:
Get the URL of the picture you want to put in your signature. Let's take my Userbar, for instance. Its URL is http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/391/1186158891uq8.gif Then, just put it between [img ]http://[/img ], without any spaces, and it will turn out like this. (http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/391/1186158891uq8.gif)

Imageready(it involves activating layers at certain frames, while setting a wait time for each frame.); it's *beautiful* for things like animated userbars. I can donate some time to animated userbars, provided you supply the 'frames'.

Not sure if this one might have been done already, since the original userbars on the first page are not viewable right now, but one that has a flustered ozzie sprite with the quote from my signature would be cool. I saw the link to make your own userbar but I am not sure where to find the correct image I am looking for. I am also not sure what would make a good background. Would a plain greenish background or a background of the castle look better?
As a side note I did have not seen userbars until I started to read articles on the compendium forum (though it has been a while since I was actively involved in a forum). Are userbars relatively new, or have they been around for a while?

They have been around for awhile but I wouldn't say they're popular, I am surprised you haven't seen them before though.

Thanks Kebrel that looks cool, and I really like that shade of green as the background. I already added it to my signature.
I do have one question though. The bar cuts the top of his head off, so it took me a minute to realise the pose he was in. Do you think it would be any easier to see if he was moved down a little? Not sure if that is possible. I found this picture (http://www.chronotrigger.info/pics/ctpics/sprites/ozziesprites.png) a few minutes ago if you think it would help, but you might already have all his sprites. The fourth one over, second down, might help if you can't lower the one you originally used.

or an Outlaw userbar (this enemy goes by a few different names, it's the ninja bird that ambushes you quite a few times . . .

Hi! Great job on all those userbars! They look really cool! :D I would like a Chrono Trigger fan or a CT Glenn fan one. :/ Glenn was such an awesome character, I just loved his whole valiant knight personality. :D Or a Pip one. But it looks like I only have enough space in my sig to put in 3, so... :( (You can only put in 255 characters in your sig, and imagshack urls are pretty long...) I like Spekkio too, and the banners on the first page are gone for me as well... :/ Wonder why...?

Um, it should just be a matter of expanding the area of the Paint (by dragging one of the points on the edge). Seriously, this might just be easier if you tell me which ones you want in what order...>_>

Agreed. You don't fail at life, so you should be able to do that. Schala Fan, Nu, and Spekkio Fan, (top down) should be fine, if you can find the Spekkio one. (Or if it never disappeared in the first place for you...) If not, Schala Fan and Nu will be fine. Thanks. :)

Yeah, Magus' sprites look a little effed out in it and the fonts are a little plain. Otherwise good job...? Why am I criticizing fonts all the time when I reuse the same 2 or 3 in all of my avys? :lol:

no, no offense taken. it's just a reminder that no matter how good I think I do, there's always someone who can do it better, lol.
I'm using MS Paint, lol, so really, I'm not offended at all. my comp sucks too much to run anything else consistently. I plan on getting photoshop and learning how to use that properly once I get the money to get a new comp.

well, it'll probably be a while off yet. I still have to wait for work to pick back up, then I have other things I need to get first, like a car and my driver's license, some new glasses (I'm near-sighted), etc. then I need to start buying some furniture for next year so I can move out on my own finally. new computer will probably be bought around the time the furniture is. but I will definitely keep the offer in mind.

Just save them, and upload them to an imagehost (like imageshack). Then take the URL and put it in
[img][/img] brackets.

All I know is that I've only seen his frog form once or twice because I'm usually too high in level to see it the first time I get to him.
