Let me just say, it took a hell of a long time to download every CT remix they had at OC Remix.  :)

I listen to every remix presented to me, but I only keep the decent ones, including the oh-so-perfect OC Remixes =p And I honestly haven't really looked at any other VG remix site than OCR, simply because I'd dig myself too deep into a hole of involvement that I'd have a hard time escaping, I'm afraid.

You need one for people who just listen, and don't download

How about people who don't like remixes because they spoil the original Mitsuda compositions?

I download every remix I find and I keep only the ones I like, which are only something like 25% of the total (partly because there are too many Corridors of Time remixes and they all sound the same...).

Recently I also try to sneak around all the links of Japanese sites I can find on the Celestia Project page. Some are nice but it's a pain to find the remix names or just the remixer names (Babelfish doesn't help much).

Wasn't aware remixes were played over the radio.

I think he means listening to them on a website, like what I do. :P

Exactly. A remix is only good for some Rock/techno/hip hop/house/dance, but not for classical type music.

Which still requires downloading the data onto your system, even if it is only temporarily stored in RAM.

I've heard a few...none too impressive (well, the mixes I heard, anyhow), but overall I support the making of them.

I disagree with emphasis. It is pure folly to restrict certain genres of music as being unworthy for remix attention.

I have a number of Chrono remixes in my permanent library. I'm pretty picky about what I'll save permanently, so I keep only a small portion of the total Chrono remixes I hear, but I'm a big fan of the ones I like. Interestingly, the Compendium is a good one-stop shop for Chrono remixes. Keeps me from having to fly all over the Internet to look for 'em.

You can't say that a remix is not beautiful if you never listened to any (maybe not you, but Sentenal)...

It doesn’t happen often, but once in a blue moon I’ll like a remix even more than the original. I can’t think of any from the Chrono series, but there are others. As far as direct remixes are concerned—as opposed to more interpretive stuff that gets away from the original material—my favorite is probably a live piano rendition of Castlevania’s “Lost Painting.”

Hey, give me a break, I'm not a big music-guy.  I prefer gameplay and story to music.  I liked the original CT scores, but I'm not into music enough to download remixes of music I've basically already heard hundreds of times playing the game.

Same. I only even listen to a select few of Mitsuda's. Mostly Schala's Theme, Dragon God, Orphan of Flame are my favs. Most of the town songs and other than that, I don't like and couldn't stand to hear remix's anyway. It doesn't bother me that peole make them, I just don't want to listen to them. Like I once listened to a remix of corridors of time and Magus theme... Yuck, turned me off.

I like remixes as much as the next guy, but not for Chrono Trigger. CT was just perfect.

I would never play a chrono hack with remixed music, because it wouldn't remind me of my first playthrough. But just listen to remixes(as long as they are well done) is cool in my opinion.

I think it's retarded to not listen to remixes that are 'classically composed' or 'piano renditions' because you don't get those in an oldschool MIDI. Leaving Mitsuda's work restricted back onto ancient technology, that's the insult.

I used to download everything and only keep what I liked. If it was a piano or composed version that didn't have one of those versions officially released, or maybe I just couldn't find it, I kept that too (because I like those). A good remixer can do more than justice to Mitsuda and any other composer, whether or not they actually change anything.

I have been methodically going down the list of CT remixes at this site. Eventually I will have all of them, but since my computer is offline I have had to stop.

I download remixes all the time... The ones that I like more than the original are:
--> RoeTaKa - Dreaming by your Side (Dream of the Shore Bordering Another World) The original was kind of poor.
--> Kazzy1kbt - To Far Away Times - It doesn't stop so suddenly.
--> tssf - Corridors of Time - Better instruments than the original.

By the way, I've downloaded a remix called "A Warrior's Path" by BlueMagic supposed to be from Chrono Cross, but I don't recognize its music.
