What are you seeing is, for me, one of the greatest treasures "rediscovered" by the Chrono fandom, specifically by @thatradicaldreamer (https://www.instagram.com/thatradicaldreamer/) on Instagram (original post (https://www.instagram.com/p/CCZFnW8HX23/)).

Here’s a post I’ve wanted to redo for a while now,
The beautiful and Amazing Chrono Memorial!
This Double sided box is a truly incredible collectors piece for a fan of either of the two games,
This box is a limited item “not for sale” reservation bonus.
Only 3000 were made, and could only be obtained by pre ordering both Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross at FamilyMart stores in Japan.
The case was then mailed out afterwards to the purchasers.
Not much info remains about this item, which is why most fans have never seen or even heard of it.
Even with all of my searching, items, magazines, i have only found ONE magazine with the tiniest mention of the box.
All other information regarding this box has been obtained from other owners/collectors/sellers who obtained it at release.

I really don't know if you guys are already aware of this, but for me it was such a shock to learn about.
