Title: Placeholder - how not to get SE to make Chrono Break
Post by: ZeaLitY on July 23, 2005, 02:24:14 am
1. Send them e-mails telling them how much they suck.
2. Petitioning online
3. Sending them your script or ideas for the game.
The last thing they need is to make a new Chrono game and get sued by Joe 12-year old who sent a letter that happened to have a similar plot to the new game.
Petitioning online doesn't work, because signatures need to be legitimate, but also because games aren't made by large companies, but by developers and producers in the company.
crThen the first one is just demeaning and rude.

4) "Make new Chrono or God will destroy you!  Allahu Akbar!"
5) "If you make Chrono Break I'll give you all bjs."
6) "If you make Chrono Break you can have your way with my daughter for an hour."

Hey, the more money we give them, the greater the possibility that they have of using resources to advance upon their other series...i.e. the Chrono series.

Rofl.

They're just trying to suck all the money from the FF series.

We could just do what ZeaLitY said and send them ideas, or just ask them nicely. You would be surprised.

EDIT: Or we could put a virus that keeps popping up a message that says:

WE WANT MORE CHRONO!!!

or something like that!

Or we could inject the high ups of SE with a mind control serum and have them make a new chrono game.

I hate to ask this, but what about ''4. Making Chrono Break (sort of) ourselves''?

That exactly why I ask. How will they react to this project? It might be a stupid thought, but let's say CT:CE becomes uber-popular, so much popular that it becomes like a 'standard' game in the series, will Square Enix even care about making a new game then if there's already this one?

Yes. Because that'll mean the Chrono series becomes more popular. And when that happans, more people will be the games.  So, they'll make a new Chrono game.

I don't know of any business that would turn down an opportunity to make money.

You're talking implausible dreams Chrono'99...highly implausible. No fan-made game is ever going to get that kind of popularity. Plus, there will ALWAYS be that craving for an official release regardless.

Or then we could stop buying FF-series and march to their HQ with signs saying "WE WANT CHRONO BREAK" etc. :)

Well, seriously. Why they still have it TM in Japan/Asia(?), but not in US or Europe?

Because trademark laws and their longevities are different in Japan than they are in NA.

Let's face it folks, Square is to busy trying to make new games and still trying to get Kingdom Hearts 2 ( which will never come out) on the shelves, they aren't even thinking about CT or CB at this point.  They still have to record V.O. for both KH2 and FF12, they're too far behind to concentrate on making a good CT series game, anything that they would put out right now would not be up to standards with either CT or CC.
