Thanks to Crisis54. Check out the TGS trailer for CT DS here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPr4On17GPA) (higher res here (http://www.chronotrigger.jp/movie/TGS2008PV.flv)). Around 1:56, the teaser for the new Dimensional Distortion shows Dalton battling the party inside the map resembling the Lavos exoskeleton. We also now know that a Nu is involved with the Dragon Sanctuary, witnessed in another scene in this trailer.

What?! No! I swear they are one step ahead of me...
I was going to have Dalton in the Cleft of Dimensions, an area that shifts and changes (as well as has distorted areas of every timeline) Grrrr! :|
Aw, hell, what do I care? More Crono goodness = the better! 8)

Awesome!
-
Awesome! Rematch! Beating him to a bloody pulp never gets old.
Though if he's in there, that might eliminate him from the list of possible extra-temporal influences of Porre... Or maybe reinforce it given the dungeon's nature.
This is gonna be good. ^_^
-
Sweet, now we will finally understand the fate of Dalton. I wonder if we'll fight goloms in the dungeon as well?
-
WEE!! Got on the front page! Awesome!
Masato Kato has also had a hand in the extra scenario so I definitely think there will be some new important plot points.
-
I'm more than glad that they've gone all-out with the extra content this time around...Looks like they actually learned from their mistakes...Good lord, this actually makes me think we JUST MIGHT get a new Chrono game yet~!!
-
No new game, they will only shovel stuff on this one in an attempt to make CC perfectly canon
-
Wait, you said a Nu is somewhere in there?
I see things close to a Nu but no Nus anywhere...
Nevermind!

If they do this then it will be even less of a convoluted sequel, which is so often one of your reasons that you don't consider it a true continuation. They are solving that problem and your still bitching.

I'm not complaining exactly, I'm actually looking forward to this very much. I'm just saying that there won't be much of a need for another Chrono game if all the loose ends are tied up here(besides noticeably cheap cash-ins, god forbid).
Besides that, it's a sticky situation. On one hand, it would be a lame port if nothing of substance was added, on the other, the "problems" of Cross weren't in Trigger, which could hold as its own game at one point. You can't really complain without being a hypocrite.
This might make the games more like a true "series", though. I can't pass any sort of judgment until I get my dirty mitts on a copy!
-
I'm so damn happy that Kato is overseeing all these additions--we're pretty much guaranteed that it'll be something good. And man, this really does make it seem like Square is putting some true effort into the series for once. Hopefully they'll keep it up.

Great, more things to keep me awake at night.

Yeeah I can't wait anylonger now.
I hope those new maps/area's/extra's are worth.
well just i'l just wait and see.
