While browsing through the Prerelease section and reading about the "The Warlock's Castle" mention in the manual, I remembered another change that wasn't mentioned. On pg 12 of the manual is a save file called "The Princess is Gone", which I assume must be the original/prerelease The Queen is Gone. The graphic is at the very bottom of the page, and the TPiG file is the one in the #3 spot. You can see it again on pg 15.

"the princess is gone" actually sounds more reasonable since Marle was sent to the DBT and Leene was just kidnapped.

Yeah, but that section of the game starts as soon as you're in 600AD, I believe...So at that time it's still sorta the Queen who's missing...though to Crono, it's just Marle who he's searching for...but he doesn't know who she is at all (unless he picked up on the hints around the festival & what-not)...It's just supposed to refer to when the Queen was missing, but then she wasn't because they found Marle, but she actually was because Marle wasn't their Queen...Make sense? :P

Doesn't the re-translation's "The Vanished Princess" show that the early translation was more accurate?
-
Well then in THAT case it's referring to Marle being the one who's missing (which makes more sense chronologically...though gives something away if you're not paying attention, like I mentioned). Unless Leene is only a Princess at that point in the retrans???

"The Queen is Gone" comes after Marle apparently ceases to exist.
-
Oh? Damn, what one comes when you first get to 600AD then?
-
The Return of the Queen, referring to Marle who everyone thinks is Leene.
