Just check the texture for Guile in CC demo CD.
Compare to the final version, he has a blue outfit instead of a white one.
Edit*
Oh well, it seems most character has slightly different texture than in the final version.
So that's not really anything special for Guile, hmm.
For example, Karsh has a milder face, Zoah's body is not scarred at all.
-
Nice find! I'm surprised at the differences in Karsh's textures.
-
Demo Miki.
-
Hm...maybe we should make it a goal to have comparisons for the very different ones like Miki's comparison.
Only for the really different ones like Guile and Karsh, though; subtle differences don't matter so much. I'll move it to the Great To-Do List and make like 500 points for it. (Yeah, I realize you're the only one who can really do it, haha.)
-
Hehe, OK.
But I think it might be slow since I have something else in hand to deal with.

OK, the textures are up now.
You'll find lots of duplicates of Cassowary and Serge.
A name list is probably not a big deal since all those we haven't seen are all Cassowaries.
-
Now some models.
Norris vs Norris
The demo Norris has rather funny blue trousers, otherwise they are almost identical. I have to use a random gun from the final version since there's no weapon textures for him.
-
Serge vs Serge
The demo Serge has an awkward idle stance as if he's defending.
-
Guile vs Guile
Nothing special except the color.
-
Riddel vs Riddel
-
Karsh vs Karsh
The demo Karsh feel a bit milder.
-
ZOAH vs ZOAH
Demo Zoah's texture is less detailed, without all those scars.
-
Marcy vs Marcy
-
Leena vs Leena
-
Harlez
-
Hey, can anyone tell me why they had to change Doc's tattoo?
-
Because that's the Star of David, a widely-recognized symbol of Judaism. I think they were trying to avoid referencing a specific real-world religion, or perhaps trying to distance the character from preconceived notions or stereotypes of said religion?
Not sure exactly, but I AM sure it's similar to Crono having Lightning in CT instead of Holy magic.
Besides, Triforces are cool.
-
These are wonderful!
(You wouldn't have a comparison of Glenn, would you? :) I'm shameless, I know.)

You're right, that is the Star of David, but the upright triangle resembles the pyramid with the eye on American dollar bills, don't you think? Kind of a strange combo.

Ah, triforce. You just reminds me of something:

I didn't post all of them, just because some prototype characters are almost exactly the same as their final version. :D
-
I like the look of Demo Harle !!
She looks more plain ...which alludes to her being 'something' more. :)
-
Yeah, could that fifty-fifty appearance mean something, or maybe it was just some random clown design.
-
So...does Doc belong to that Mojo worshipping cult!?
One has to have their Mojo after all.
RW, have you seen utunnels' Glenn animations test (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gESTZkiR7Qo)? Pretty groovy. I wonder whether the demo had a dual-wielding Glenn coded in already? Probably difficult to tell from the textures alone.
-
Impossible to tell from the textures alone (or at least, single and dual-wielding Glenn use the same texture in the final product, although the models themselves differ very slightly).
-
Hmm, you are right.
I recall I saw another Glenn (no Lynx though) , so I think I need to double check the model.
Yes, there's a dual-wielding Glenn, same as the final version.
