Title: Audition Thread for CT Flash Series
Post by: teh Schala on August 10, 2005, 05:01:35 pm
Hey everyone, this is where you need to come if you're interested in auditioning as a voice for the CT Flash Series...  We need voice samples galore!  Feel free to send in a sample of yourself doing the sample lines for each character you are interested in playing.  (Email samples to Jacob@RSJames.biz)  So yes, you can audition for multiple characters.

Between WAV or MP3, I prefer MP3, but if you're not sure how to make one, then a WAV is fine. :)  The characters available are listed below.  (I have to leave for work now, but I'll add more lines later.)

Try to audition first for characters who appear earlier on, ok?  In other words, if you plan to audition for Queen Zeal, try to audition for Lucca or Queen Leene as well. :)

PCs
Crono -- Already cast
Nadia Guardia/Marle -- Already cast
Lucca Ashtear -- Already cast
Frog/Glenn -- Mine name is Glenn!  Cyrus' hopes and dreams, and now the Masamune...forthwith I shall slay Magus...and restore honor!
Robo -- Understood.  Madam Lucca fixed me.
Ayla -- No!  Ayla like Kino BEST!  No more do bad stuff, okay?  That wrong!
Janus Zeal/Magus -- Behold, everything is at the bottom of the sea.  Gone is the magical Kingdom of Zeal, and all the dreams and ambitions of its people.

65M BC
Azala -- Already cast
Kino -- You strong, me weak.  Ayla good chief!

12,000 BC
Belthasar -- So to you -- YOU, who have opened the door! -- I leave things in your hands.  Only by mastering time itself do you stand a chance against Lavos.
Dalton -- Already cast
Gaspar -- The Guru of Time, eh?  ...Now what would you want with him?
Masa/Mune -- I wanna be the wind, Masa!  ...Oh, you will someday, Mune.  Sister Doreen's at Enhasa again...  That's 'cause she likes dreams.  I like the wind better!  Whoosh...
Melchior -- The Masamune is made of Dreamstone...  But you can't get it anymore.  Unfortunately, it hasn't been available for a VERY long time.
Schala Zeal -- The black wind...  Janus, you feel it too?  Don't worry, it'll be all right.  I wish I could stay with you...but Mother has other plans.
Young Janus -- The black wind howls...  You...  One among you...will shortly perish.
Zeal -- For you, there will be no tomorrow!  Fate has led you here, and here you will perish!

600 AD
Chancellor -- Already cast
Chef -- Heh.  That's what you get for thinking you're the only ones fighting for your country!
Cyrus -- R-run, Glenn...  The queen...  Protect...Queen Leene.
Flea -- What the...Hey, I'm a GUY!  ...Male, female, what's the difference?  Power is beautiful, and I have power!
Fiona -- My husband Marco hasn't returned yet from the war against Magus.  I'm doing my best to preserve what's left of this forest.
King Guardia XXI -- Sir!  I understand that you are the one who saved my dear wife, the queen.  But can you tell me what happened?  Leene is acting...rather odd.
Knight Captain -- *outraged*  Stop your SNIVELING!  It shames the Knights of the Square Table!
Ozzie -- Already cast
Queen Guardia XXI/Leene -- Already cast
Slash -- That's SLASH, you slimy dolt.  Hmph.  Beat me once, shame on you.  Beat me twice, shame on me!  En garde!
Tata -- Y-you need to get out of here!  Th-this is... a horrible place!
Toma Levine -- Hey, no problem, chief!  I'll have that Rainbow Shell for ya in a jiffy!

1000 AD
Chancellor -- Already cast
Gina (Crono's Mom) -- Crono!  How many times have I told you NOT to bring your pets in the house?!
Judge -- Already cast
King Guardia XXXIII -- Silence, Princess Nadia!  The throne comes before your personal wishes!
Lara Ashtear -- Oh, dear me...  My skirt, it's...  It's STUCK!  Lucca?  LUCCA!
Norstein Bekklar -- (Already cast)
Ozzie VIII -- Already cast
Pierre -- The issue here is motive.  Was there any motive for this man to kidnap Princess Nadia?  NO!  There was none!
Taban Ashtear -- Already cast

2300 AD
Atropos XR -- Prometheus?  Is that you, Prometheus?
Doan -- H...Heal...thy?  Huh...  Got a nice ring to it!
Johnny -- Hey, where's spike head?!  I only ride with HIM.

End Of Time
Spekkio -- (when you first talk to him as red Nu) What're you lookin' at...  Looks can be deceiving, you know!

Azala (remember that Azala is a female)

Well, I don't remember this. The game never stated if Azala was male or female or asexual, so whoever will cast Azala would need to have an... ambiguous voice, I guess.

Are you going to like, digitize robo's voice or something?  I can't picture Robo talking at all.

We may use Microsoft Sam for Robo's voice. :o

While the 65M BC inhabitants never mentioned Azala's gender, I'm wanting to say one of the other party members did...  Probably Lucca or Robo...

Getting ready to add more lines...

EDIT: OK, all sample lines added!  Check above for all the info you need to audition.  Less talking on here, more talking into the mic, people. 8)

There's a problem with this quote.... it works BEAUTIFULLY on paper, but not if you say it.  There's really no way to twist it around to make it work when you say it out loud.

I figured you guys needed at least some sample voices.  If you don't need any of mine, that's absolutely fine.  I'm not like "OMG I HAVE TO DO THIS!", but I figure if my voice fits something, then why not help out?

I did serious samples for Crono and Kino.  I tried to stay away from anything that would require me to scream really loud, cause I might embarass myself, otherwise I might've done more.

I did a "serious" one for Flea.  I didn't know if you were looking for a guy or girl voice, so I did a male one.

I did joke ones for AtroposXR and Lara.  Lol I like the Lara one.

Jaka-a-roonie I sent you a PM about the samples, check your mailbox.

Actually if you heard my Fiona "audition" you'd realize my last post was completly sarcastic.  I have somewhat of a deep voice, and basically I just made it really high-pitched and somewhat shaky sounding and said Fiona's line.  Just for poops and giggles.

Lol, I see. I was tempted to do an Ayla sample just for stupidity's sake (cavegirl talk harrrrd), but opted against it at the last minute. It turns out the line was even harder to say than I thought.

I just did Crono and sent it to Jake-a-roonie. i even added gato's song in the back ground to make it more realistic.

since i couldn't find my microphone, i used my head phones instead and used the left speaker for the mic. right speaker does nothing. ;)

It's official art, but he cut it out of a bigger picture, and added a nice purple aura to it.  Very nicely done.

Ah, one of the few people who knows about the weirdness of using your headphones as microphones!  I discovered that when I was eleven, when I plugged a microphone into the headphone jack of a Sega Genesis.  The microphone started playing music.

So, Jake, if all goes well, I'll be young Janus?

I hate to sound like some official for a game, keeping secrets under wraps, but I can't make any final confirmations YET.  For example, I've already received a VERY good audition for a particular character, and for all intents in my mind, that character is cast.  But I still wanna hear auditions for that one, so I'm not saying who got it yet.  I'm hoping the people in the Flash Series forum don't spill the secrets either! :P

Man, you should post that one and the audition for Lara for all to see.  That was hilarious!  Somehow AIM didn't save it, so I don't have it. :?

Oh yeah.  I'm a sox fan.  I actually live in Albany, NY. See, I fell in love with baseball in 92/93, so I was a Blue Jays fan.  When then 94 strike hit, I cried, and didn't give a crap about baseball until 2003 ALCS.  Now, I've ALWAYS ALWAYS HATED the yankees.  Everything about them.  On top of that, my dad's entire side of the family is from Boston, and are obviously bigtime Sox fans.  So my love for the Sox grew out of that, and my hatred for the Yankees.

Do you get NESN?  I pay $80 for mlb.tv so I watch I'd say 3/4 of the games over the Inet.  You know what, this is o/t.  PM me or somethin.

Oh, as for the two auditions, I'll post em once I get around to uploading them to my school's webspace.

Yes, it's official art (from Creative Uncut, I believe), and yes, I'm a she. :P (Thank's Jake-A-Roonie.)

Wow, I had no idea a headset could be used as a mic.

Oooooh, secretive. Will people cast for voice roles get access to the special forum? Having access feels...special. 8)

ETA: Yeah, it's o/t, I'll make it brief and end it here, unless you want to add something in PM. Living in MA, I was pretty much raised as a Red Sox fan. I'll try to resist Yankees bashing right now. >_> But yes, I get NESN.

E again TA: Chrono Cross art (http://www.creativeuncut.com/artccb.html) @ Creative Uncut (http://www.creativeuncut.com), which is like...PSX-era and onward Square-Enix artwork heaven. Sort of.

Was it another book? If so, I guess eventually I'll have to make arrangements to scan it (if it does have untouched official art). Chrono Trigger never got that sort of preferential treatment with its art, resulting in some character art always being overlayed with words or an image in player's guides. If there is a Cross art book out there, it'll make the collection and archival of its official art a perfect operation.

There's a couple good art pieces... like the one of Robo and Frog fighting Magus int he town square, Robo swinging his..uh.. thing around at the Mystics... not nearly as good as this art though.

Yeah, even those were stashed in the instruction manual. It's a shame all that good stuff was never properly collected. To accurately collect all Chrono Trigger art, one has to have a CuteLucca size collection of Japanese player's guides and publications. A CC art book would be amazing.

Anytime.

Jakearoonieboy, how many parts are you dividing this up into?  Making Flash can take a long time, even for experts at it.  So would the first part be like, Crono wakes up, meets Marle at the fair?  Or are you actually planning to release it in about half-hour segments?  I'm just curious how you're planning to divide this thing up, it seems rather massive.

This isn't set in stone, as we'll divide it where it "feels right."  But generally we'll do about one "chapter" of CT at a time.  Some shorter chapters -- such as "We're Back" -- will be merged in with the others.  Longer ones -- like "Lavos Beckons" -- will stand on their own.

So, how's the voice acting coming? If you don't have enough, there are possibly other venues to exploit for talent. But don't take that as "I know where a treasure of gold is buried...yep, sure do." They might provide some talent, who knows.

I'll do this when I get home, I think - though I'll see how much time I have to actually work on it. Perhaps I'll only do things here or there for a minor character, etc. From what I can remember of my voice in recording, it sounds about the same pitch level as Dewey, although it could be a tad higher or lower, especially if I actively try to change it. Oh, and I know how to say the name Atropos correctly, though I don't suppose it matter much.

Aha, Missing Piece. Yeah, that should be covered. SilentMartyr is taking care of that; I think we've got a lot of it covered in terms of high-res scans. He just has to do an interview and a page with missing characters who weren't added to the game.

Oh, the parentheses weren't implying sarcasm, I really do want to buy it. (And I know a few places where I can. ^_^) I was making a poke at the people that download stuff and don't buy it, which is understandable, but...I like to poke at it. :P Just...don't mind me.

(For the record, I currently own the OSTs for FFVII, FFVIII, and Kingdom Hearts, as well as the FFIX and FFX collections released domestically, and the Final Fantasy N and S Generation albums. Though N Generation has been mysteriously MIA since I last moved...)

Yeah, I know about bootlegs, believe me. :x I saw the CC OST at an anime store, and it was Ever Anime, which I knew was a rip-off, so I didn't get it. That store had rip-offs of just about every Square-Enix OST to date...someone really needs to do something about Taiwanese companies and bootlegs...though, it makes me wonder if stores here even know that they're stocking bootlegs or not.

And Jake-A-Roonie, I do hope you've gotten my most recent e-mail, as well as the earlier one...before the last one you replied to...since I'm trying horribly to make this a bit more on topic albeit confusingly so... :P

Yes, I got it. :)  I forgot to respond because I was STILL hanging out with my friend...  We listened to your latest clip SEVERAL times, kinda mulling over whether it would work for that character...and then I somehow ended up on WoW and forgot all about it.  My apologies!

Well, I think we can safely say we likely have voices for the big three, CML: Crono, Marle and Lucca, along with Taban and 2 others. :)

Anyway, we still need a Gina (Crono's Mom) and a Melchior before we can release episode 1...  Auditions are coming in nicely, but no one has yet auditioned for these.  Let's see what ya got! :D

I could try Gina if no one else does, since it's not like she has THAT many lines. >_> I might be kind of scary as anyone's mom though... *puts on a sickening motherly voice* "Oh Crooooonooooo, you little sleeeeeepyhead, time to get uuuuuuuup! *tugs his ears*"

Wow, now I feel awkward... I'd buy the real OSTs if I knew where to get them, and actually had money <_<

I'd like to audition for Frog if I can ever get my microphone working, but it seemed to only work in certain positions, and now I can't get it to work at all.. Also, the audition text for Frog/Glenn is incorrect.. if you're trying to be "old" and use 'mine' instead of 'my' you can only do it infront of words that start with vowels, like a/an and thy/thine, so 'Mine name' just sounds like you're trying too hard, not to mention its inaccuracy

You can get the soundtrack at most sites that sell Japanese music...I got my FFVII and FFVIII OST imports from YesAsia.com, pretty good and reliable, but yeah, it's expensive. That's all because of expensive CD prices in Japan though, singles alone cost like 1200 yen...which is like, $11.

SquareSound.com's online store also has it, I believe.

Then again, there's always bootlegs on eBay for like...$5.

Don't feel awkward, like I said, it's totally understandable. Of course, I avoid the guilt trip (which I get with anything on my computer just about) by keeping only PSFs of OSTs I don't have, so I can argue "well, it was all in my game, and I bought that!" Lol.

If you're mic keeps malfunctioning, you can get a decent one at places like Staples for only around $10.

As for the mine name thing, it sounds unnatural anyway, inaccuracy aside. I mean, it sounds like "my name" anyway. Just with a stress on the 'n'...

Well, it's "accurate" in the sense that that's what the original script had.  That's what's in the game.  Whether it's "proper" is another story. ;)  Anyway, at least it's a line, eh?  Put some fire into it, and let's hear it. ^_^  Also, I'm not opposed to anybody doing different lines than the ones in the list...  Those are just the first ones I could think of off the top of my head.

Hey, yeah, that is in the script. Hm, I hadn't noticed. Ah, well, like you said, at least it's a line. :P

You want any more lines from me, Jake-A-Roonie? (I'm bored, Saturday afternoons are horrible sometimes. )

I tried doing a serious Masa (Mune) line, and it was horrible.  I tried doing some lchildish whisper tone, and it came out horrendously.

Ugh, PLEASE tell me we're not going to PURPOSEFULLY mess up Frog's 'old' (or w/e the right term) english

I just did a search for 'frog' in the script, and his first lines are even wrong:
Quote
[Frog]
Lower thine guard and thou'rt allowing
   the enemy in.

Thou'rt here to save the Queen?

   The lair is deep within.
   Will thee accompany me?

Again, thine can't go with gaurd.. and 'thee' is objective, not subjective, so the word would be 'thou'

Quote
Frog: I failed to protect
   Queen Leene.
   I hath disgraced thee.

Ugh, hath is for 3rd person.. guh

Quote
Frog: Crono, you hath potential
   to be a good swordsman!

Ugh, more discrepency.. he uses 'thee/thou' when they're not supposed to be used, then suddenly switches to 'you'GUH.. anyway, 'thou hast', not 'you hath

Quote
Frog: 'Tis thee, Crono!
Thou art here to practice thy
   skill in swordplay?

This isn't TOO bad, since most people make the same mistake in modern english; should be 'tis thou', just as it should be 'it is I', not 'it is me'

Quote
Frog: What?!
   The King hast been injured?

hath.. not hast

Quote
Frog: 'Tis nary a thing I canst do...
   Please be on thy way.[./quote]
can, just can
and I'm not sure about that thy, it might be thine; thine sounds right, but you say 'a way', not 'an way', so it might be thy

Quote
Frog: You hath done well to find
   this locale.
   Th, the Hero Badge!

Frog: Thee hath returned?
   Th, the Hero Medal!

Frog: Aye...
Then thou hast seen the lad.
Yet there's nary a thing I canst do
   against Magus.

these were all bunched together.. so meh
Thou hast done well
Thou hast returned
nary a thing I can do

Quote
Frog: Nary a soul remains to
   mend'eth the Masamune.

Since when are infinitives considered to be 3rd person present singular? mend

Quote
Frog: 'Tis thee again.

Frog: I must ponder this turn of
   events.
   Remain'eth here the night.

Tis thou again, again (HAHAHAHA)
Remain'eth should just be remain.. if it were singular (like, you, one person, remain here!) it might be remainst, but I'm not sure.. BUT YOU NEVER PUT APOSTROPHES BETWEEN A WORD AND A SUFFIX

I think I'm done <_<

I would probably make a damn good Magus, but you'd need to change the script, as that's not something he would say.

I'd try out for Magus, not that other prince dude next to him.

That IS something he'd say...and he DID say it. =P  Again, it's in the game script.  That's not to say it won't be paraphrased when we get there though.

About Frog's speech, we will be correcting it.  But more importantly at the moment, this is more about the voices saying stuff with the right inflection, not whether they say hath or hast...at least, not yet. :)

Questions about frog's speech:

1) Why does he only talk like that after being transformed?

2) Why doesn't anybody else in 600AD talk like that?

Just for theatrical effect, I surmise. Should go in with the fact that Truce might actually be a town of 10000 NPCs, and we see like 10.

There is a theory that it is easier for Frog to speak like that due to his change of appearance, and also so that he wouldn't be recognized as Glenn upon his return to Guardia.

Isn't Melchoir gonna be hard to cast, especially in this forum?  Along with the other Gurus, he's gonna be someone older, with a deeper and more experienced voice.  I'm guessing no one here is capable of doing that.  I mean, no offense to anyone who's tried out for him, but I can't picture a 20 year-olds voice as Melchoir.

We are hoping to release the first episode by September 29th, which we thought was the anniversary of the game's release.  As it turns out, according to old posters and such, it was September 1st.  (Check out this poster (http://www.cutelucca.com/ctrom/chronotriggerposter.jpg) on CuteLucca's site.)

Anyway, we're basically getting our "system" set up for the moment.  Getting the sprite libraries ready, and finishing the last bit of script for Episode I.  After that it'll go to the Flashers and we can also focus more on the voice recordings.  Lucca recorded her first scene about 3 days ago, in fact.  But once all that basic getting-started stuff is done, then we'll be able to figure out just how often episodes can be released.

Any hope of having it ready for Sept. 1st then? :P Maybe it got delayed at the last minute or something...I sure as heck don't know, I was way too young when it first came out. *shrugs*

But anyway, I'm getting really excited, I really can't wait to see the completed first episode. ^_^ Jake-A-Roonie, did you get my e-mail?

Hey, another question.  Is this flash movie acted out by sprites?  In the beginning I assumed some hand-drawn stuff with complicated animation, but later posts seem to be telling me otherwise.  I can't seem to find a clear answer about it.
Title: Audition Thread for CT Flash Series
Post by: teh Schala on August 15, 2005, 09:48:49 pm
Sprites.  There might be a few sequences that use something more detailed though...
Title: Audition Thread for CT Flash Series
Post by: tamashii on August 15, 2005, 09:59:27 pm
I like the idea of there being mostly sprites, since it would be almost like watching the game be played through, though I'm still curious to see how that will work out with voice-overs rather than text boxes. And non-synthy music. And...stuff.

Will it be a top-down view like in the game, or more of a side-scrolling view? (Or is that...still confidential? 8))
Title: Audition Thread for CT Flash Series
Post by: teh Schala on August 15, 2005, 10:02:01 pm
Mostly top-down as if you're watching the game itself, though I DO plan to have a little side-scrolling stuff.

I agree that it would play out a little weird watching sprites with voices (cite Lunar: Eternal Blue as an example), but if you give them plenty of motion (and fortunately there's a lot of animation to be used), it'll flow quite nicely. :)

I just go to start --> programs--> accessories--> entertainment --> sound recorder.  It's been in every version of windows since 3.1 (I actually had that at one point), so from there it should be simple.  It's wav form, but it gets the job done.

Yeah, fun little program. Years back, when I was 14 and knew almost nothing about how a computer works, I used that to edit some wav clips from Star Wars - it ended up having Darth Vader say: 'Obi-Wan, my master, what is the dark side?'. Quite funny. I had actually rather forgotten about that simple wav editor.

Ugh, I'll appreciate my computer now

Unfortunately, the spiderman editor wouldn't load, so I didn't even get to see it :(

I'll try that sound editor thing now, if I can get my mic to work.. and tips on getting it to work? I think it still can work, since I could get it to work before when I was testing it (in some control panel thing)

I have not even given a thought to Cyrus yet.  My thoughts are entirely on the first two episodes at the moment, with just a faint afterthought of my plans for one of the later episodes in particular.

Try out for whatever you want.  But my priorities at this moment are Melchior, Taban, and Gina.  However, for Episode II I know I'll need a Chancellor, King Guardia XXI, Leene, and Glenn. :)

Actually no...  But it just didn't seem to fit well with the particular characters you selected.  I think one problem was that you actually enunciated a little too hard though...  Maybe you should try for Taban or one of the Kings of Guardia?  Your voice seemed like it might go well with at least the younger king (in 600 AD), and I think I can picture you as Taban too.

It's not THAT professional that you have to submit a resume.  Basically, jsut give him a voice sample (listed on the first page), and if your voice fits, you've got the "job".

The "job" doesn't actually pay anything.

Download a trial version of GoldWave (http://www.goldwave.com), as it's pretty good.  The trial version isn't limited in functionality -- it's fully functional -- but it IS limited in how many commands you can execute.  It's something like 500 commands per session before it starts saying "Buy now" every 5 commands you make.  And I think it's like 5000 commands total before it shuts itself down on ya.  Anyway, that's plenty of commands to get something basic like this done. :)

I realize it don't pay nothin'; I'm used to that. The theater work I do doesn't pay anything either, but I love it none the less. Resumes are just a tool to give an idea of epxerience really; but if you say so, I won't bother submitting it when I send in my auditions.

I auditioned for 7 parts.

But crap, just about an hour after sending them, I realized that I pronounced Masamune wrong for my Glenn audition!  I pronounced it like I use to think it was pronounced, like it was an English word like "ma-sa-mune" where the "u" in "mune" says it's name.  I should have said it like a Japanese word like "ma-sa-mu-ne" where every two letters form a sylable...

I guess I'm not getting that part... oh well...

Chronocrossed, you did a great job and I'm sure you'll get a few parts. :)

Azarath, your voice has potential, but just a couple of things on Magus: First, SLOW DOWN! :)  You sounded rushed, or like you just came in from a morning run.  Slow down, let your heart calm, and take on the cool, calm, collected persona that is Magus.  He is usually angry and bitter, but in the particular line used for the auditions, he is also in utter despair.  All his life he has hoped to change history by averting the tragedy of the fall of Zeal, and now he realizes he has utterly failed.  Second, he is from this ancient, regal kingdom, so he would still hold some of that in his voice.  He would probably still have a faint Zealian accent from living there in his early years (though it's up to you to decide what the Zealian accent might sound like), and especially at this stage of his life, coming back to Zeal, his accent would come back a little.  Try again if you like, ok? :)

Galidan, I did get your auditions.  You did a good job.  Very creative. :)

Here, I sent another one. If you have any other Magus lines I could try, lay them on me. That line is pretty tough.

Chronocrossed, you did a great job and I'm sure you'll get a few parts. :)

Thanks.  If you'd like me to do any callbacks on any of the characters, let me know.

Chronocrossed, what part(s) did you try out for? I'm thinking about Frog/Glenn if Magus doesn't work out.

Chronocrossed tried out for a number of parts, and to be honest, it was quite obvious that he's been behind a microphone before.  He tried out for a couple of characters that I thought I had cast already, or at least had someone in mind for them.  Listening to him made me rethink a couple of them.  He did VERY well, to say the least.

Azarath, I know that's a tough line, but that's partly why I picked it. :)  It's a rare glimpse into a deeper side of Magus, and I'm hoping to find someone who can capture it.  I received your second audition...  You still need to slow down your speech a little bit, and sound almost more like you're just musing or talking to yourself than talking to the other characters.  Other than that, just try and back away from the microphone just a smidge, so that the sound doesn't pop when you make a "p" sound or another one that blows into the mic.

EDIT: Oh, and Silber!  Yes, I got yours and I think you certainly got one of those parts right off the bat.  I don't remember all the parts you auditioned for except the one I'm 99% sure you got, and Flea. =P  With Flea, I could tell you were trying to sound like a guy, since Flea is one, but that's part of the uniqueness of Flea.  Just sound like your own girly self.  Remember, Flea even fooled Marle into thinking he was a girl!  So the voice should be a pretty much normal girl.  Also, Flea's personality is probably a lot like Lucca's, at least in terms of self-confidence.

Ok. I'm sorry. I thought I was far enough away from the microphone. I REALLY gotta pay more attention this time! Anyways, I'm sending my third one to ya now. Actually, I'm gonna try out for someone else for a little bit. If that person doesn't work out, I'll help with the script I guess.

Seeing as though I haven't gotten any e-mails back, I'm guessing I didn't get any parts. However, could you please post who has gotten the parts? I don't really see a reason to be keeping it a secret.

I believe this project has been put on ice for a while...

See this topic http://www.chronocompendium.com/Forums/viewtopic.php?t=1051

That's probably why you haven't heard back  :?

Ah dangit! I was really looking forward to this. You know, if this doesn't manage to come together, maybe we can still do a CT radioplay.

Yes, the project has been temporarily paused, and that's why you haven't heard anything. However, some of the staff (including me) is continuing prepatory work (including the script) in the meantime. Hopefully we'll start full production again soon, and when we do we'll hit the ground running. Stay tuned!

I would try to send something, as I am very interested in auditioning for Magus. But unfortunately, it seems my PC microphone has broken entirely. Hopefully the role isn't entirely taken yet, because I am going to see if I can find a mic for myself soon so I can give it a shot.

Since I'm no longer the director, I don't TECHNICALLY have the authority to say this, but I would SUGGEST that anyone who auditions for Magus from here on, PLEASE audition for someone else too.  Magus auditions so far have outnumbered everyone else probably 2 to 1.  EVERYONE has been auditioning for Magus. >_<  That's not to discourage you from taking a crack at it, but for God's sake...try someone else too, people! =P

I didn't audition for Magus. I know when there is absolutely no hope of my voice fitting.

FYI, the CT Flash Series is on hold for now.

I'm not saying you shouldn't audition, but there's no rush. It's nice to see the interest though.  :)
