ZeaLitY, if you have any interest in science fiction, I recommend that you read both the Lensman and Skylark series. E.E. "Doc" Smith defined the space opera. The books are both exiting and intelligently written. They are, however, quite dated, but were visionary for their time.
I shall add them to my 'list.' No matter how long it takes, I will eventually read them.

Well neat. If anyone's got the time, or the want for that matter (I know I'm not too well known around here yet). I wouldn't mind gettin' a sig (that would finally replace my currently crappy CC text from the Dead Sea) with Black Mage & his Evil and Atrociously Evil Sides (ala 8-Bit Theater). Y'know, something to finally go with my avy. I could grab links if they're necessary...Just want it fairly dark, evil...Probably with the words "Destroyer of Reality" or something creativly similer. I wouldn't be adverse to "Destroyer of Planets" either. I've used both as tags in various other forums. Heck "Boo-ya" would be another good one. My SN, small in a corner would also be nice.
Also, just since this is a custom avatars and sig thread (and because I don't want to clutter things with more threads). I was wondering how I am to go about contributing some default avatars for the site. I've got a few 8-Bit Theater avys (like mine) that used to be up at the 8BT site, but they appear to be gone now...Just wonderin' if there's an interest too I guess.

I need a much better signature than the one I have... I was thinking something like Kain's official art transluscent to a Chrono Trigger background; perhaps Guardia and Truce on the world map, with the words DivineDragoonKain is some form of flowery writing. =P No, I DON'T ask for much. :D

Y'know, I'd request something... though I really got nothing particular in mind. Only thing I could think of at the moment would be either Magus / Frog related... solo Magus... or Zeal influenced. Wouldn't have to be anything specific I guess, if anyone got bored enough to just randomly create, hell I wouldn't mind a surprise. Of course that may be asking too much. <_>

If I want my own custom avatar, do I have to gain permission before I can post it under my profile, or should I be able to post an URL for a custom avatar, and away I go?
I try to post an URL for a custom avatar, and it's less than 100 by 100 pixels, and a file size smaller than 5KB, but it won't post...
Anyone know what's wrong with this?

i may be wrong, but isn't the avy limit a bit smaller than 100x100? I thought it was closer to 50-60x50-60...but I dunno...Try making it smaller or something...

If anyone can, i weally want something better than my current sig. I want either any panzer dragoon or phantasy star background with the text Burning Zeppelin in fancy writing. For an avatar anything to do with darkness or fire :twisted:

Signatures must have dimensions of 500x100 pixels or smaller and must fewer than 25KB in size.

I always make my avatars and sigs with paint and my own ss lol(thats why I rarely have a good one). Anyone knows anything i could use as avatar? I usually use a ss of magus at north cape, but i lost it because of a pc crash and didnt take another one yet. It was getting old anyways.

If someone could edit my avatar so that the white background matches the horizontal line background pattern around it, and can get the lines to match up, I'd be very, very grateful.

We were considering allowing 90x300 avatars, at least for news posters, since it would've looked badass with the old layout. But then we changed the layout.

BTW, the new theme is cool.
When I first saw it, I thought my browser failed to load css files, but then I realized it was a new theme. :P

It's even cooler if you have an Encyclopedia account. All the wiki editing and management functions are integrated into the new theme on the right side, so you don't have to use a separate theme or anything.

I'd like a signature, but in an attempt to not be picky I'll give you choices. Feel free to pick one of whichever theme and quote that inspires you.

Question: Did you like the King Zeal drawing I did, if so what version (beard, no beard) cause it goes with the design I have in mind.

Okay, I know this is PhotoShop 101 but how do you resize sprites in Photoshop without them becoming rasterized?

LOL I thought in Photoshop things are raster from the start? Hmm when it comes to sprites, Lysa's best advice would be select certain pixels and shift them as you'd like rather than resize automatically. Well, that's if you wanna shrink em. If you wanna enlarge them, then the best method would simply be to remake/trace a larger one. Yeah, sprites are difficult to handle...
As for the size of the signature, I'm thinkin 100 or 200 px in height. Proportions being 1/4 (width being four times the height, but no strictly as much, just whatever you're comfortable with).
XDDD I think I'd stick with beardless, since that's the most popular one as of now. Yeah that art would rock!
