That's right, I'll have a new demo ready soon. That is, If I can manage to get the battle assmbly to work right...
-
Sorry to burst your bubble but if battle assembly is the problem then the demo won't be ready "soon"...
-
Have you checked these two threads?

There may be some useful information there, I don't know.

hey azala you must put dinopolis in that game
-
Heh, maybe...
-
Hmm...I'll be watching this project carefully...
-
Well, bare in mind, that I am extremely busy lately, and have not made much progress in solving the assembly problem. Vehek sent me the supposed solution to the problem, but it hasn't been working...
-
I've made a patch that should replace Crono's sprite assembly with Azala's. That should fix part of the problem.

Oooh! Could you send it to my e-mail? That'd be great. My address is redchaos87@gmail.com
-
Huh? Do attachments not work in this forum or something? I attached it to my previous post.
-
Click on "Azala Sprite Assembly Test.ips" at the bottom of Vehek's post. You must have mistook it for a signature or something.
-
Oh. That must've been the case. I didn't notice it. Now I feel stupid.
EDIT: Also, the patch noly worked for out of battle animations, which I already had under control. Battling still rips Azala's image apart, squeezing it into Crono's tilespace.
-
Well, if I made the patch correctly, Azala should show up in the menu. Or did you manage to do that already?

I already managed to do that...
-
After testing I did yesterday and today, I have to say that pasting Azala's animation data over Crono's doesn't seem to work.
"Squeezing it into Crono's tilespace"? Do you mean it starts using parts of Crono's graphics? Azala only has 20 sprite frames.
-
No. I pasted Azala's animations multiple times, so that it repeats and covers all of Crono's frames in the tilemap. What I mean is that although Azala's GFX are present, he/she automatically reverts to the height and width of Crono, and attempts to perform Crono's animations. (i.e., bobbing left and right while he's idling in battle, slashing a sword, etc.) Basically he looks like a mass of jumbled Azala tiles moving in the same fashion as Crono.
-
Because the animation battle set isn't setup correctly. You'd have to SA the battle sprites.
-
But remember? We tried that. SA wouldn't seem to work either...
-
Well if it worked for their regular sprites, it outta work in battle
