I really like the style of this picture. The bold colors and the use of solid forms and limited color depth give it a certain primordial appeal, not to mention the iconic design of that very prominent eye. Also, I love the font used for her name! Very fitting!

Did you consult the CC demo art?

Did you consult the CC demo art?
Yeah, that was basically the inspiration behind it.

I've enjoyed watching the progress on this. Looking sharp!

Are you using a mouse? There are a few problems that have existed since the first iteration.
I don't particularly like the eye, but if it's a stylistic choice then that may just be what you're going for. It just looks a bit flat and at the same time, a bit too big. Like the eye is actually painted cardboard stuck on the character's face.
The main actual problems I see are in the edges. It's most noticeable in the arms, I think. They're a bit lumpy and the muscle structure is anatomically incorrect. You can see it in the hair a bit too.
I'll give a more full critique later, when I'm not in class and don't have people wondering why I'm looking at a cartoon picture of a young girl with "swords and tattoos" (their words, not mine  )
Overall it's not bad, and I've been watching your progress. I think you would benefit from acquiring a drawing tablet. I really like your colors, and the blending has gotten increasingly better since the first version. Keep it up!

Good job, you showed a soft gentle side to her, yet she still looks like she can kick ass.

I do actually have a drawing tablet that I've been using for this but it's not an overly fancy one (it only cost $60) I don't actually think that it's the issue though, it may be the brush type I've been using in Painter. I'll see about playing around with some other brushes before I update it next.
And thanks for your critique :D

Yeah, try a smoother brush, at least for the skin. You can get away with rough edges on clothes, weapons, and hair. But a female's skin, especially when young, looks more silky, and the actual curves on the body are long strokes.
Also, I just noticed the eye reflection in the blade. That blade is the wrong angle to be reflecting anything on the face. Threw me off for a minute.

Version 5, the final before the... final? Yeah something like that.
