I had a Chrono Cross/Trigger dream a few weeks ago, so I think I'll put that into written form and use that.

It's not ABOUT a dream, but it actually WAS a dream, so does that count?

Hm, sorry, but, DOUBT!

Can I send as many entries as I please or is there a limit per person?

Just one, I guess. It shouldn't be hard to put that CT/CC dream into a dream theme, hehe.

I haven't fanficed in a while, but it's always fun to do this sort of thing. I'll figure something out, though. Bear with me; I'm completely unfamiliar with the concept of the Dream Devourer. The only thing I can think of when I hear that is 'Gastly used Dream Eater!'.

I had a Dream about the Compendium and CT the other day, but it's ridiculastupid. (Making up adjectives is fun) Maybe I'll write a story version anyways...

I'm still a bit confused.  It has to be dream related but it doesn't matter what kind of dream as long as it's a Chrono character.  Is that right?  And also, is there a restriction on length?  And last, does it have to be Winter related?  These are just a few things I figured I'd better clarify.

Dreams in general, which is a big theme in the Chrono series, or dream characters; anything is fine as long as it's related to Dreams. Word limit is flexibly 3,000 and no Winter tie-in necessary.

I've started writing it now. It's interesting, to say the least. There's not much going on with the Dream Devourer, save a quick reference. Or two.

Do we attach the file to the email or just send the whole thing as the message?

I'll enter again, I guess...Maybe a slice of life about the Dream Team hanging out, reminiscing about Chrono Trigger & saying how cool a new game would be...

Or maybe just something with Magus again...>_>

I believe attaching the file would be much more clean and easy to organize entries afterwards. But it's not up to me, so...

I had started writing one about dreams some time ago, and already had another one about the same thing in mind. I guess I'll write both and just pick the best one for the contest.

Ah! Ah! One more thing. Should I write it in oneshot, chapters or whatever I please? (even though 3000 words may already not be very adequate for chapters, but still...)

Sweet!

I started last night. I finished this morning. I think it's pretty badass and quite what-the-hell-tastic. Actually, a LOT what-the-hell-tastic, if you ask me.

I just had one more question.  It's not all that important but is this going to be posted on the Compendium or is it just going to be read by the judges?

I wonder how many people are in it... I'd like to calculate my chances of winning.

Maybe I shouldn't've entered my story so early... oh, well. Can you reveal how many people are in the contest, Z?

Well out of the people who have posted there are around 9 I think.

1/9 is a good chance, compared to 1/Over Nine THOUSAAAAAND!

Personally, I wish I had spent more time on it, but I think it's pretty cool. I hope I win... being the Bard of El Nido sounds pretty sweet!

Oh man, the perfect topic too. I'd love to enter but  time to write it down. Damn junior year! Turnip is cooler to me than Magus and this would have been the best year.

Hey, ZeaLitY, were the previous fanfic entries (for the older contest) ever hosted or posted somewhere? I think my one I just emailed to you, but I don't think I have a copy of it...is it still somewhere?

I suggest you send that out as a message to the email address ZeaLitY put in the first post. That way, any potential judges won't know who posted it.

Just for clarification, are swearing and violence/mentions of blood allowed? How far can the rating be pushed in that regard? (It's nothing romantic or x rated, don't worry)

I'm going to enter. I have a plot, though it's pretty confusing. But then again, most dreams are :D

Mine doesn't really have one plot.  It's a dream after all.  Well it has a plot but it's never the same for long.

There ya go, Jutty.

And mine's submitted. Now could someone please lend me an Epoch? I want it to be April now...

You can borrow one of mine, I've got lots. Unfortunately, they only go back to ancient Greece...

Meh, you know, I'd be tempted to do this, but there is a certain part of me that simply cannot write under compulsion. I do begin to panic when the writing has neccessity connected to it, rather than unlimited freedom. And it has been ever so long since I attempted to write any prose fiction... all my heart's been set to poetry in the last year or so. But I will keep this all in mind, and if, perchance, amidst other contemplations, an idea strikes me, I'll write it down. 3000 words is hardly a breath, but even that breath needs the whisper of the muses. I'll wait on them. If they are willing, I will write something, glancing-wise when my mind is turned elsewhere; if not, I must perforce be silent.

Thanks I most of the time just skim through posts if there's a couple of pages must have missed it. :P

I don't think so. Considering that I haven't found a way to attach attachments via PM, it wouldn't work well unless you wanted to potentially show one of the judges the entry. Sorry.

I think you should send it before the 31st, but that's just so that they don't have a last minute judging thing. Common courtesy and all. Send it whenever you like, but not 12:01 AM April 1st, 2009. Then you fail.

Maybe you should ask ZeaLitY about that. I'm not in charge, so...

It's kind of irritating.  I got into kind of a mad dash to finish my entry.  If I'd known it would be happening later I wouldn't have made such a big deal out of it.
