Title: Your "Chrono" collection?
Post by: Magus22 on January 06, 2009, 03:23:15 pm
This is a thread where everyone can post pictures of their "Chrono" related merchandise. They do not necessarily have to be pictures! A simple post of your personal (Chrono) items that you have obtained throughout the years is perfectly fine. Any item that ranges from the official game products, to the official soundtrack releases, and/or any knick-knacks found that you have bought or received. Again, anything "Chrono" related that you would like to share with the Compendium is encouraged!

So how about it? What does YOUR "Chrono" collection consist of?

--------

Below are direct links to different pictures of my current collection...
http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q3/GUILE22/100_1363.jpg (http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q3/GUILE22/100_1363.jpg)

I have the original Super Famicom Chrono Trigger imported directly from Japan, Final Fantasy Chronicles, Chrono Cross, and yes... I have the new Chrono Trigger DS which was released back in November. It is still sealed with some kind of poster inside. I was just able to get my hands on the DS version as of a couple days ago. I do not have a Nintendo DS nor do I plan on getting one.

I have supported the prospect of a new Chrono game. Have you?

I have CT for SNES, Chrono Cross, CTDS with a poster and CD, and a great deal of sympathy for Chrono Trigger Resurrection. Square was stupid to kill such a good FAN PROJECT.

Considering the new DS ending, I would to see a new Chrono game. Square needs to get a move on. NOW.

Anyways.  I own CT on SNES, CTDS, Chrono Cross, the original CT soundtrack that I imported from Japan, the Chrono Cross clock, and a few Chrono Cross keychains. (Harle, anyone?)

http://www.vidgame.net/toys/items/chrono_1.jpg The clock in question.

Is the Harle one a blow-up doll?

Just kidding.

"I'd buy that for a dollar!"

(Completely off-topic, clear your PM Box dude.)

I'm reminded of the Chrono Cross dioramas I saw ages ago. In fact, I just checked E-bay and someone's selling the entire set....for nearly $350.00!

I have the original Chrono Trigger for Super famicom in its japanese version, even if I never used it I'm glad to have it in my collection. I also own Final Fantasy Chronicles, the original soundtrack, the soundtrack A Brink of Time and that's all for Chrono Trigger (until next month for the european release of CTDS).
For Chrono Cross, I had the Greatest Hits version that I gave to a friend because I didn't want to have that shitty green band to get a copy withiout it. For the same reason above, I also have the japanese version. Of course, the wonderful OST is part of my collection too.

For collectibles, I only have the 3 figures you can find on this page (http://www.chronocompendium.com/Term/Chrono_Cross_Tokyo_Game_Show_Merchandise.html).
My dream is to get one day the Radical Dreamers music box but, you know... the price (http://cgi.ebay.com/Chrono-Cross-Trigger-Music-Box-Squaresoft-ULTRA-RARE_W0QQitemZ250330565583QQcmdZViewItemQQptZVideo_Games_Games?hash=item250330565583&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1234%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A2%7C294%3A50)...  :?
And I'm still seeking the Missing pieces and Chrono Cross Square Millenium Collection.

I have... er... the Final Fantasy Chronicles guide (which I happened to find in a shop here that does imports) and a Japanese copy of Chrono Trigger DS, with the bonus CD. Never owned any physical copies of the games until CTDS because I'm in the UK.

Sorry I don't have pics.

I have the US SNES Chrono Trigger cartridge, the PSX Final Fantasy Chronicles, PSX Chrono Cross, Chrono Trigger DS, and and End of Time T-Shirt featuring Gaspar.

I have...

Chrono Trigger (SNES Cartridge)
2x Chrono Cross (PSX, don't ask why I have 2)
Final Fantasy Chronicles (PSX)
Chrono Trigger (GB:DS)
Chrono Trigger Soundtrack (the original)
Chrono Trigger Single CD (the one from the DS)
3x Chrono Trigger posters (2 from the SNES days, and the one from the DS release. Which sucks since 1 of my old SNES posters is the exact same one as the DS one but bigger).
A homemade Lucca plushie.
Keychains for Chrono, Lucca, and Marle.
Chrono Trigger strategy guide.
Chrono Cross strategy guide.
And the old Nintendo Power copy when they did the couple page review of Chrono Trigger!

Calling mine a collection is questionable considering it's just CC and Final fantasy Chronicles.  Unless you include the not working copy of CC.

I have...

Chrono Trigger SNES cartridge (no box, no manual. XD But I got it for free about 10 years ago)
Chrono Cross
CTDS
Chrono Cross clock

Unfortunately, that's all I have. I'll buy the soundtrack when I have a job. :3

I have Chrono Cross from ages ago, but I really don't feel like spending so much money just to collect a game.  Even if it is Chrono Trigger.

And I'm still seeking the Missing pieces and Chrono Cross Square Millenium Collection.

I had almost forgotten about the figurines. Quite impressive, Lee! In regards to the music box, I know exactly where you are coming from. There used to be a website where you could order custom music boxes. The name of that site escapes me at the moment. It is also very easy to create your own unique music box, and the musical notes for "Radical Dreamers" is easily reproduced. Have you ever thought of making your own since an official one would be near impossible and impractical? That reminds me... we used to have an old store here many years ago that specialized in such things like music boxes, old clocks, and radio equipment... sad to say that store has been leveled and replaced by a McDonald's
 :picardno

...and an End of Time T-Shirt featuring Gaspar.

I was intrigued by this. Did you create it yourself?

I have...

Chrono Trigger (SNES Cartridge)

Chrono Cross
CTDS
Chrono Cross clock

Unfortunately, that's all I have. I'll buy the soundtrack when I have a job. :3

Ahh yes... the CC clocks and many others which I have seen around the web! I really want to get my hands on one of those, but I can never tell which are the boot-legs and those that are authentic. Great collection nonetheless. I also see you have an SNES Trigger. Kudos to you and everyone else who have stated they have a copy!

Actually I never thought of making my own music box myself because I don't have the slightest idea how to make it. The fact that you say it's easy to create it reassures me though, so I'll make some researches to find a tutorial.
Thanks for your advice anyway, and kudos for your support to the Chrono saga.

My only Chrono collection is CT:DS and CC.. and my imagination.

OFF TOPIC:
Btw, Alcyone great job on the Ragnarok style Chrono Trigger characters, I immediately recognized the style, been a small fan of Ragnarok Online for a short while, waiting for RO2 to come and downloading the RO:DS rom. :D

Why not a Lavos plush that squeaks when you squeeze it? That'd be adorable......in some sick kind of way.

I also completely forgot to mention the fact that I own both the Missing Pieces art book and the Chrono Cross Ultimania Guide.

Bought Cross when it came out, left it with my brother.  Came with that clock that was mentioned...was shitty so it probably ended up in the garbage.   Borrowed Trigger from a friend back when it came out.  I have no earthly Chrono possessions any longer.

To the Magus one, they should have added, maybe on the back...

"One among you... will shortly perish."

Just to go with where "The Black Wind Howls" fits into the SNES script.

And that's a Trigger thong, not a Cross thong.

:picardno

Game name fail.

Question is, Eric, is it copyright infringement or not?

IMHO, its Square, and given [Square's] track record, it probably is, at least in [Square's] book.

It's not a question of whether it's copyright infringement, it is whether they are going to do anything about it.

And knowing them, yes they will say something about it eventually. That's their right after all.

Well if you notice, they can't really put any official Chrono Trigger pictures or screen shots on any items. If so, they usually get taken down rather quickly. The End of Time shirt is a piece of fan art, and doesn't directly state any relation to Chrono Trigger. Other shirts use catch phrases or silhouettes, which is apparently ok. The Day of Lavos items are cutting it rather close, I wouldn't be surprised if those items are removed at some point.

If I could have something Chrono related, I'd like some plushies, a necklace/bracelet, a watch, a clock... not necessarily all of these, but... plushies and necklace/bracelet would be nice. I think a necklace like Kid or Marle's pendant would kick some ass, or even the Frozen Flame. Definitely a Magus, Frog/Glenn, Schala, Flea, and Guile plushie. Those are a must.

... not that I'm a screaming fangirl or anything like that...

Title: Re: Your "Chrono" collection?
Post by: teaflower on January 27, 2009, 05:11:58 pm
But what about your lovely little Harle? You need a Harle!

It's more that, although Magus is pretty nice, so are the other characters. I wouldn't say no to a Magil or Janus, but I still want a Magus. What would be horrible is if you could dress them up. Magus would so sit on my dresser in Schala's dress.

... not that I'm a cruel little girl or anything like that...
Title: Re: Your "Chrono" collection?
Post by: Shadow D. Darkman on January 27, 2009, 05:16:50 pm
Oh my God. I laughed at that.

And yes, thank your for reminding me that I could use a Harle doll. *snickers* And Magus in Schala's dress... Take off the pointy ears and give him back his Zealian eyes (gold, IIRC) and you would have Older Janus. I mean, all Little Janus wore was a small version of Schala's dress.

They were bright green. Close, though. They start with the same letter!

Um... all I have of Chrono stuff in real life is my Chrono Cross game and a whole bunch of wallpapers. I still think a Marle/Schala or even a Kid pendant necklace thing would kick some ass.

All I have is the extra stuff that came with CTDS, CTDS itself, Cross is somewhere in this house, and CT SNES I think with my brother, who has CT SNES on an emulator. I guess he wanted to play it the old fashioned way again.

Title: Re: Your "Chrono" collection?

Uhh, my Chrono collection consists of......... Chrono Trigger DS. Yeah.

As a European, I never got the chance to buy either CT or CC. I felt kinda passed by Square tbh, they should have at least released it in Europe. Importing was possible, but I didn't wanna go through all that hassle. I did get CTDS, even though I don't use it (got CTDS on flashcard), but I bought it because I'm a fan.  :)

Merchandise like t-shirts and stuff is cool, but the problem is always or the size isn't right, or it doesn't feel good, etc.
Figurines would be cool, but I don't have anywhere to put them. Give me a Frozen Flame and Dragon Tear necklace, now! <3

Well, obviously using a PSX emulator. I remember back in the day when I first saw a screenshot of Kid from a FMV, and from then on I decided I had to play it. Only problem; no EU release. It was a pain trying to figure out how emulating PSX games worked exactly, but hey it was worth it.

Seriously, I have an addiction, I know it, I don't care. I've sold plenty of precious things for Chrono versions.

Sorry, latest computer doesn't do photos.

That's quite a few shades of awesome right there. Where/Who did you order it from?

I got it from an ebay seller who produces a lot of these types of light signs.  After I provided him the template, I think he went on to try and sell a few more.  I don't know if any more were actually produced though.

The watch is in hiding until I find a suitable display for it, but I have some pics the previous owner took of it.  The blue part of the wristband and backing is a plastic protective film which was never removed.  Inside the box is a red lining and pillow which holds the watch, which you don't see here:

I own:

CHRONO CROSS Greatest Hits
CHRONO CROSS ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK
[DS Version] CHRONO TRIGGER ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK (3CD+DVD)
Yasunori Mitsuda - Colours of Light (I believe this counts, it's a compilation of his vocal songs, and it has RADICAL DREAMERS).

I wanna get the rest I'm missing and is easy to get, like SNES version of CT, and the black version of CC, as well as the other soundtracks, but I also want the impossible things, like Serge's bandana and necklace, and the frozen flame watch for my boyfriend, but they're out of my budget ATM XD I'll save up until I get enough money to bid on it at Japanese sites, in the meanwhile I plan to get him an used one he saw and wants for daily use.

I'll post a picture later, have to take it and I don't have the camera's software on this comp.

Here's the picture of my Chrono collection, I got my PC partially fixed now.  CREID is not related to CT/CC, I think it's Xenogears, but the band is called Millenial Fair, and I am a Mitsuda fangirl.

The End of Time and "The Black Wind Howls" ones on Cafepress that were mentioned.  And the "I Love Nu York" one is quite clever.

Now to save some money!  ...Or casually or blatantly drop hints some time before my birthday.  ^_^

Awww, thanks guys!   :D  That made my night.  And yeah...I am in love with my little stickers.  I have a few more ones, mainly a screenshot I took of Magus, Robo and Ayla dancing at the Millennial Fair and then a Nu icon that I have on my laptop.

I don't necessarily have any Lucca "gear" per se, unfortunately.  :(  That would be awesome if I did.  I would love to cosplay as Lucca.  But all I have now are my reading glasses, which can't really match her huge ones.  Although I used to have some of those huge glasses as a kid and early teenager.  XD

So this is the best I could do as of now::

Well, it's pretty close. I'd call that picture Chrono Memorabilia, and I declare this thread still on topic!

The only Chrono stuff I have other than the SNES cartridge and the DS version is a huge downloaded collection of remixes and sprites and some swords that I got in New York City for no reason other than the fact that I paid twenty bucks and walked out of there with three swords. I think they're katanas, but I got them in Chinatown, so that's kinda cheating. For the record, there is no such thing as Japantown.
They're also not sharp, but they're neat to just have laying around as something threatening-looking in case of burglary i guess. Anyways, they are collectively and respectfully called Slasher, Slasher II, and Slasher III. I know, Slasher III isn't in-game but Chrono's sword names are all independent of each other, and Frog's wouldn't have been right. So why not Slash's? And why not call it Chrono memorabilia?

Chrono Trigger snes cartridge
Final Fantasy Chronicles
CT:DS

I even have the rom !!

I might import the Mitsuda chrono remix when it comes out.

That's about it. However, I don't think you need to spend that much money to be a fan. Buying the same old game three times is fan enough !

Heh, my collection isn't that great..

I've Chrono Cross for the PS, greatest hits version. Though, the original case broke so to salvage the games I pressed them both into one case that is substantially cracked >.< And the first disc freezes sometimes. I need a new copy...

Along with that, I've Chrono Trigger DS. Of which I love, of course.

I also have the OST for Chrono Cross. That's about it =/ I need gear...

I have, um... a Chrono Trigger ROM on my old computer (first time I played the game), a copy of the Final Fantasy Chronicles version, a copy of the DS version, and a black-bordered copy of Chrono Cross which I received from a good friend. I also have the symphonic CD that came with pre-orders of CTDS, the official soundtrack for Cross, and somewhere I have the clock that came with early copies of Cross (which broke ages ago). That's all, I'm afraid.

My Chrono collection consists of doujinshi mainly:

http://aphelion-of-mine.deviantart.com/#/d32siuk
http://aphelion-of-mine.deviantart.com/#/d32sj5o

I have other doujinshi books that include Chrono contents but they are mixed with other stuff so the donīt show up on the pictures, as well as a bunch of Chrono doujinshi letter sets and related items.

Other than that I have some of the old Japanese guides, the C. Trigger key chains, the games (the snes version and PS version of CT and PS Chrono Cross), Chrono Cross’ missing pieces book, the Karsh/Serge diorama and I think that’s pretty much it.

But to everyone, thanks so much for posting your "Chrono" gear over the past year and months. And anyone new to the forum or thread, don't be shy to post/share your Chrono-love.

I am glad many of you supported the prospect of the once recent DS re-release. Like I said before... I don't even own a DS (probably never will)...

I've had the SNES version since it was new.

I also have the PS1 slow-as-molasses version and Chrono Cross.

I never got the DS version because I don't own a DS and probably never will.  I'm not a fan of portable gaming systems.  They force you to visit a chiropractor after an all-night gaming session.  Plus, I didn't care for some aspects of the retranslation.

I have Chrono Trigger DS, and the game has its moments when it pisses me off with all of that renaming crap they pulled, but there are many things I'm appreciative of though (Apocalypse Arm + Dragon Tear, anyone?) I plan on eventually beating Lavos by smashing his shell, rather than hitting him over the head. Gotta get Ayla up to ** before I can do that, though. Easily doable to the Lavos Spawn, however.

I also have Chrono Cross, and I officially have become royally pissed off that I can't find one of those Gate Key keychains. Grrr...

I do indeed! Well... used to since graduation is over with. And here I went through the trouble of smudging out the name on the checks lol. Do you also go to school in NY?

I totally want that shirt now. Where did you get it?

I believe the individual who got it for me obtained it from this site:

Also, check the second page of this thread as some users had posted additional links.

I'm a bit jealous of that!

I have:

Chrono Trigger Super Famicon (CIB)
Chrono Cross PSX (CIB)
Chrono Trigger DS (CIB)

And I want:

Chrono Cross OST CD
Chrono Trigger Figurines (that came out recently-ish)

Awesome! I want CT figurines too, but I can't seem to find them anywhere. eBay has them on occasions, but are sometimes sold by (0) Feedback sellers... they can be suspect...

aaaaaaand (drums!)
Radical Dreamers (Satellaview Cartridge)

No CC so far, cause I want to finish my SNES Collection before I start collecting PSX.

Amazing my friend! An actual cartridge? Hold on to that nice gem! And don't worry... you will get to CC eventually. Finishing all of your SNES games is extremely noble too. Don't rush any of them.

I have Chrono Trigger DS, the poster (one of my friends gave it to me), Chrono Cross (even though my brother nearly took my head off with disc one), and some knockoff plaque thing. If I can get a picture of it, I'll share it.

Oh my! Nearly killed ya? lol. yea I would like to see the plaque thing too if you can ever get a picture. No worries though. Everything sounds cool!

jajaja Squaretable Knight, if it has been a difficult task, but I really like the series, and the idea is to have the world's largest collection, but I'm missing some pretty hard to get items.

I appreciate if anyone has, or knows of any item that you miss my collection.

Wow, ayabrea, sweet collection!  :o

You said to mention it if anyone knew of anything not in that picture. Several years ago, I bought a Radical Dreamers music box on ebay, for $100 or $150. (I ended up selling it after a few years, to get some money. It sold for over $400, so I didn't really regret it, awesome though the thing was.) Here's what it looks like:

http://csd.varlew.net/cc/ccmerch/ccorgbg.jpg

Maybe you already knew about it, but just thought I'd mention it in case you didn't.

As for my personal collection . . . I don't have a digital camera on me right now - should tomorrow, though - but I'll just list what I have. (It certainly pales in comparison to your pic, but that's kind of a given, heh.)

- SNES copy of Chrono Trigger, complete with box and everything with it, bought in '96 (played to death, but still working; I now use the Wii VC to play it, though)
- Chrono Cross, purchased on launch day, complete with everything
- DS copy of Chrono Trigger, with everything
- promo CC clock (now broken, though - I used it for a LONG time)
- Nintendo player's guide for CT (had for about as long as the SNES game)
- all 5 CT Formation Arts figurines, proudly on display
- Marle keychain, currently on my everyday keychain
- red Chrono wall clock, in use
- 4 different fan-made CT t-shirts (one is of the campfire scene, for example), purchased recently and worn regularly
- 1 CC t-shirt (Serge and Kid), which I've had for probably 12 years, and still wear

I also used to have the Serge Kotobukiya statue that's in your picture, for a long time, but eventually sold it.

I think that's everything. I'll try to get a picture of it all, soon, just for fun.

Thanks rocky, congratulations you had the music box, then treating it took quite a while to get but have not had the opportunity, for bringing these items to Colombia, is a bit complicated, sorry do not have it yet, then you would buy it without thinking lol.
I hope to put your photo collection, and please join my facebook group to socialize with other fans of the series.

Okay, here's my collection. Tried to squeeze it all in (laid out on the floor), so the shot is panned out, enough to possibly make it tough to see everything clearly. But it's good enough. A few things I'd forgotten about in my last post, mostly music-related:

- Chrono Trigger Original Soundtrack
- Chrono Cross Original Soundtrack
- Chrono Trigger: The Brink of Time CD
- Chrono Cross: Music Selection CD (bonus included with Chrono Cross game)
- Chrono Trigger piano score book (learned to play about 5 tracks in the last year)
- Chrono Cross piano score book (learned about 5 of these, too)
- Cinema Anthology CD (compilation containing all the CT and CC cut scene videos from the games - made by Custom DVD Creations)

Oh, and I even still have the receipts from my purchases of CT in 1996 and CC in 2000, so I included them in the photo, too, 'cause why not?

I believe that's everything. I tried to attach the photo, but it kept saying "413 Request Entity Too Large" - not sure why, since it was only 2.7 MB, and the max allowed is 6 MB. So I'll just include a link to it. If anyone knows why it won't let me attach it, let me know.

Damn. And here I am still trying to convince myself to buy the CC cards...

This is an impressive collection, ayabrea. You even have the watch. Congrats on getting all of that though. I'm not sure what else you're missing, other than fan-made items. Fangamer (http://www.fangamer.com/) has some great stuff in that department if you're interested.

Ha, ahaha, oh man, I am so very jealous. I almost bought the Avarus figure on its release, but I was hesitant to drop so much money--I always am, hence why my collection is so little. More power to you, though.

Can I ask where you buy most of your items? Ebay, or something similar?

And can you post extra photos or videos of your rarer items? I only know of three videos showcasing the music box, and there aren't many photos out there of the watch either.
