Prerelease Overworld Sprite (Identity of)

Inquiry

In the Chrono Trigger Prerelease, three sprites appear below the seven main characters' overworld sprites. The picture can be found here. The identity of this sprite has long been unknown and debated.

Theories

Guard Block

The character could simply be a guard for the Overworld, meant to block access to an area during a certain time in the game.

Glenn-Overworld Theory

Marr0w

It looks like Glenn in his human form. His weapon is not visible if it is him, which would make sense since neither is Frog's. Compare with this picture: Media:Glenn_Sprite_Sheet.png

ZeaLitY: This is viable as killing Magus may have originally been planned to revert Glenn to his human form at that moment upon the North Cape.
