The Porre Mayor exists as a greedy man who places money over family. When Crono places the Sun Stone in the Sun Keep during the Sun Stone Sidequest, the Porre Mayor obtains it somehow in 1000 A.D. and refuses to give it to the party. Fortunately, his temperament is changed to that of a kind man during the sidequest via the charity of Crono to one of his ancestors. The Porre Mayor then provides the treasure for Crono.
