Mt. Woe is clearly floating, anchored by a chain. Why did it fall to the planet after Giga Gaia was defeated?

Answer

When Crono defeated the beast atop the mountain, he probably broke the spell causing it to float. This apparently snapped the chain and also allowed gravity to take over once more, bringing the mountain crashing down.
