The Chef of 600 A.D. is brother to the Knight Captain and a furious, hardworking individual who is charged with supplying the army of Guardia with rations in the Mystic War. A pacifist, he declined to enter the army, though he used his cooking to help the effort. His specialty is Jerky, which he gave Crono to feed the troops at Zenan Bridge. The sibling rivalry soon ended, as the Chef was stunned to learn that the Knight Captain's life was in danger. After the war ended, he had a cookoff with Magus's troops. His wife helps him in the galley; in the English release of the game, the note about one of the helpers' being his wife was lost.
