The Central Regime is the leading world government of 2300 A.D. No details exist concerning its operation or leadership, save that it saw potential in Belthasar's Chronopolis project and funded it under the guise of a military research center. It is unknown if the Central Regime evolved from a rebuilt Kingdom of Guardia or the militaristic Porre. The word "Regime" usually describes agressive or oppressive governments, giving the latter some credence. However, this may have been only a quirk of the US translation.
