Chrono Trigger is an excellent RPG, and its Biblical symbolism is nothing less than fasciating. Guess what? It's trash compared to the Persona series. Persona is undoubtedly the single most unique, well-made RPG in terms of originality, gameplay, plot, characters, and symbolism/foreshadowing ever brought to the States. Now, Persona 2 needs our help. Currently, Atlus is only planning on translating the second half of Persona 2 for us: the latter half, Eternal Punishment. The first half, Innocent Sin, may never reach the States. There is, however, the opprotunity for us to let Atlus know just how much we want a quality RPG to reach out shores. HELP SUPPORT THE SAKE OF ART, AND LEGITIMATE QUALITY! HELP FIGHT PLAGIARISM AND HORRIBLE, MAINSTREAM RPGS! HELP BRING "PERSONA 2: INNOCENT SIN" OVER TO THE STATES! Just follow the banner above and sign the petition. You'll be glad you did if we succeed. Thank you for your time. --Xathael.

Welcome to "The Chrono Trigger Testament". To those who are unfamiliar, Chrono Trigger is a video game that was created by a company called Square a few years ago for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Chrono Trigger is a game with superb attributes in all areas. Despite how excellent the graphics, music, and playability are, the aspect of Chrono Trigger that places it above most other games of its genre is its unique and enthralling storyline. Chrono Trigger, in a nutshell, is about a group of individuals who race back and forth through time in a desperate attempt to change history and prevent the Apocalypse.

After playing Chrono Trigger for a few minutes, I found myself completely addicted. It was not until I had played through the game quite a few times and thought about it in depth, however, that I began to notice certain things happen throughout the course of the story that were unusual, and sparked my curiosity. Upon further examination, research, and meditation on the subject, I began to realize that a vast new world existed beneath the surface of Chrono Trigger--one so well masked by its beautiful storyline that one could be exposed to it repeatedly and not even begin to have a clue as to what the probable truth behind Chrono Trigger really is.

What am I talking about? Biblical symbolism--and it certainly runs deeper than the sea in this work of art. This is the sole topic of this website as of now, so if you came here looking for F.A.Q.s, original game artwork, music files, or fan fiction, I'm afraid you've come to the wrong place. There is a plethora of excellent webpages out there that cover such other areas in great depth.

Chrono Trigger, believe it or not, is strikingly similar to some of the more prominent stories in the Bible, spanning from the Book of Moses to the Book of Revelations. Most of the characters in the game, be they playable or not, are directly parallel to a Biblical character in more than one way. As you will find from the pages below, these character similarities are not only supported by their own likenesses, but by the actions and roles played by other characters as well. I have also come to realize that a few areas in Chrono Trigger are quite similar to various stories out of Greek mythology and Judaeism (though most of the information you will find below is concerning Biblical similarities).

WARNING: THIS WEBSITE DISCUSSES AND ANALYZES VIRTUALLY EVERY AREA OF CHRONO TRIGGER'S STORYLINE. IF YOU HAVE NOT YET PLAYED CHRONO TRIGGER, AND DO NOT WANT TO HAVE ITS PLOT REVEALED, DO NOT READ AHEAD.

Just click on the name of the person, place, or thing whose symbolic identity(ies) you want to explore. If you are a frequent visitor, be sure to check the "Updates" section for new additions. I hope this is both an interesting and educational experience for you. Have fun!
