 :o Ho, boogie! You bet!

Wanted to make my own Epoch model with the Toriyama blueprint, but I think I'll pass now. You've made one better than I ever could!

I'm not using my production PC and can't download this at the moment, so don't mind if I ask: Was this made with Blender?

I don't know if I can model that fast tushantin.
I just noticed that the file servers are not keeping my files up. I will have to find a better host. Sorry about that.

If anyone can texture, these would turn out great. I just added simple color for now.

I know it's kinda late, but... here's a better host! (https://copy.com?r=1SQ9SC) (You'll get 10GB free storage with that particular link, otherwise it drops to a measly 5GB)

Has been pretty reliable for me so far. In fact, I use it to back up half my project files. Anyway, I'd be glad to texture them in my spare time, though I must say I use Blender. :) So Collada export or the like, perhaps?

Complete the registration process as guided, including downloading the Dropbox-like sync tool and logging in. And presto! You'll have it.  :)

The 5gb you have is thanks to my link. The other 5gb will be given after registration process. It's hardly different from how Dropbox handles it when giving you extra storage; Copy is simply more convenient and gives you more.

I can export them to Collada (Dae file). Thanks for the link.
Here is the previous files in Obj file.

I will work on converting the files over to Collada for you tonight.
Will add other stuff also later.

Haven't checked the OBJ files, but DAE ones work great!

I would only quibble (for now) on the fact that the objects aren't quite grouped. But hey, that can easily be fixed by whoever's tinkering with the models.

It's fun to collect these! Hopefully a few touchups and I'll put them to use.

By the way, your OBJ files.... importing any of them into Blender yields a Python error... like invalid index or something.
Title: Re: 3d Epoch
Post by: stingrayiii on June 01, 2013, 08:09:55 pm
Can you still access the .obj file? Or does it close on loading?
I know I have problems with moving files over to other programs. Mmmm.......
As long as .dae works I guess.
Plus I am working on something related to chrono and gang. So maybe in a few weeks it will be done. Big task ahead of me, and gives me something to do. Been kinda boring lately around my area.
Title: Re: 3d Epoch
Post by: Schala Zeal on June 02, 2013, 05:04:15 am
They do not load at all. However, I just got Maya 2014 and that loads them okay. Strange how Blender chokes on them though.
Title: Re: 3d Epoch
Post by: tushantin on June 02, 2013, 09:33:26 am
Strange. I can open .OBJ files in the latest release of Blender pretty fine. Every model, besides the WIP ones that I haven't tried, opens fine.
Title: Re: 3d Epoch
Post by: Schala Zeal on June 02, 2013, 04:24:14 pm
Re-exporting the OBJ file in Maya 2014 however blows it up to an absurd file size:

Queen Zeal.obj: original is 28 mb, re-export is 102 mb
Title: Re: 3d Epoch
Post by: tushantin on June 02, 2013, 06:53:39 pm
Wait... Queen Zeal.obj? I didn't know Stingrayii made a Queen Zeal model? XD

Anywho, looks like you're using the latest Blender version. That problem shouldn't have happened, unless Maya unintentionally corrupted the OBJ...
Title: Re: 3d Epoch
Post by: Schala Zeal on June 02, 2013, 07:33:59 pm
It opens fine in Maya. I re-exported the OBJ and reopened it in Blender despite it being a bloated 80 megs larger than the original....ick. stingrayxiii, what version of Maya did you export from?

Here it is in Blender. Came with the unfinished collection. I'm going to try and optimise it later to reduce the abysmal file size. The saved .blend file isn't as big but is still a whopping 70 megs. Far too large, no doubt.

I use Luxology Modo. But I have to admit looks good in the snapshot. That is why it was in the unfinished collection. I never took it down in size.
Title: Re: 3d Epoch

Ah, I was wondering why. Maybe, using Blender, I'll strip any stray vertices and extra vertices

Something different to add. Wanted to brush up on my level making skills. So I made the inside of the Black Omen.

Second Life -- http://secondlife.com -- only the official one is run by Linden Lab and they're a bunch of assholes, so I run a private friends-only grid using a third party server software called OpenSim.

Also, while your Magus model is interesting, it seems to lack a lot of detail compared to the one in your collection of unfinished models.
Title: Re: 3d Epoch
Post by: stingrayiii on November 09, 2013, 07:53:10 pm
I was making the models low poly, easier and can be used in more projects without eating resources. The high poly ones I will not get around too again, takes a lot more work and time.
That is the reason I went with a  less detail. But if someone make textures for it, it would look great.
I might make one more model and I think I will be done making Chrono Models.
Title: Re: 3d Epoch
Post by: Schala Zeal on November 10, 2013, 01:13:55 am
Ah okay. I suppose I can always retopo them into HD models -- like trace over them with more polygons used for a more detailed look. I'm doing it with a select few CC model rips since their polygons are painfully low.

BTW Sting, that Queen Zeal model I'm retopologising... the hair is a friggin' bitch to do.

Appreciated. If I use them, I'll be sure to credit

EDIT: Some of these models I am absolutely drooling over! I really want to incorporate them into my VRChat 12000 BC project! O_O Granted, I would like to edit some things such as UV unwrap the Mammon machine and clean up the Zeal islands

Thank you sooo much!! I'll give these lots of love and improvements. Already gave the 12000 BC map a nice icey material I made
