Hey,

As the actual coding for Crimson Echoes nears it's finish I think it might be time to give it a visual refresh.  I'd like to do minor adjustments to enemies to make them look.....well different?

If anyone has any skills with sprite editing and has some free time let me know.  I'd like to make tweaks to common enemies and overhaul bosses.

I've got loads of free time on my hands, but alas, little to no spriting skill...  Nu...  I wish you the best, however!  This is gonna rock!

Forgive my ignorance, but I thought the Crimson Echoes project was abandoned?

"Chrono Trigger: Crimson Echoes
This project was abandoned via lack of personnel and community infrastructure"

Has it been revived then, or what? Sorry I am lacking in knowledge.

So was I...

Reading the following post at this page (20) will give you your eventual answers...  I don't know why the fan Projects page hasn't been updated...

Wow, well, that's good news, anyway. Someone should seriously update the fan projects page then, because it is listed under abandoned projects.

The project's been going for almost half a year already.  They technically call it abandoned because over half the team is gone...theres' pretty much only 2-3 people working on it when there used to be over 10.

Ah, well, that would explain the reason why it's listed as "abandoned" then...  I think I may have heard something else about that, but wasn't too sure...  Glad that little bit is cleared up...

I consider myself pretty good at doing sprite work, but I don't have all that much time; what with work and family to worry about.

Hey buddy!  Hmm; yeah...  I never thought about that...

Yeah guys, this is the friend I mentioned in a different post, after my rant about this project being "canceled;" the "ashume" thing?  Yeah, he made that word up...  Best friend I've ever had...!

EDIT: Oh yeah, and it was also his idea to have Chrono Trigger hacked/remade from Magus' point of view...

I like to think I'm pretty good at sprite art, but I know next to nothing about sprite assembly and actually getting the graphics back into the game.  If you just need somebody to do the drawing part, I could help.

If possible would it be possible for you to try out some tutorials for importing graphics?  We have many talented people on these forums.  Unfortunatley the sprite work has to be done in parallel and I'm  not much help so I'm not sure how useful it would be for you to join if you can't import the graphics.

Perhaps you could import some terranigma enemies?.. Just a suggestion, at any rate...

I'm willing to give it a try.  What's something you need edited?

Heeeey, BROJ is onto something here. Dark Gaia #2 as last boss?  Idea I imagine the second-to-last Lavos form's graphics pack would be large enough to fit it. However, fiddling with the palettes is going to be a pain if penultimate Lavos shares palette data with other enemies or environments...
